This would be great for someone who has the time to invest. You will be able to make a profit if fixed. It had a rod knock. I slid in a new bearing into cylinder number 3. That did not work and eventually the motor just stopped while driving and leaked oil all over. So I assume one of the main crank bearings broke. I have seen cranks on ebay for about $200. Or if it is easier for you and you have the skills just replace the motor. If buy it now is used payment will be due immediately.Best offer within 24 hours. Gorgeous Fun car! It's been my daily driver since I bought it a few years ago from the original 'Little Old Lady Who Drove it to Church", Garage kept, zipped up a bit by me.. After-market high end Larger capacity exhaust and 5 more HP from the added gizmo so the engine breaths better (I'm not a mechanic, just spent the money to get it zipped up!), as well as a louder horn (can be turned on and off)! Always maintained by my local guy, so oil is up to date, tires are good, I just don't need it (3 cars is kinda overkill!). It's been very dependable, good condition interior with some wear on driver's seat edge (11 years of in and out, not torn, just worn). Some squeaks from the suspension, again 11 years of use, not abuse. Not a new car, but well maintained. Limited Edition, only 7200 of these were made in 2003! It's available for viewing at my House Sale in Upper Saddle River on Friday 12/12 10-4 and Sat 12/13 11-2, asking $5500 or best offer!! We are the second owners of this car. My in-laws were the first. It has some wear and tear. Very clean car. A few things to make note: Main Computer (around $200) hoes in and out. The Engine light will come on and the car will not shift above 3rd gear. I stop, park, turn off the car, turn it back on (Restart computer), and it goes fine. The engine light will stay on for a couple more turn on/turn offs but it goes away after a while. The close button for the sunroof is not working (wiring/fuse?). When we open the sunroof we use the hatch button to close it. I am getting a part for the driver side automatic seat. The seat works but the cover is the part I am replacing. If I do not receive it in time I will deduct the price. Non-Pt Cruiser Engine coolant was put in during an emergency at one put. Apparently the Pt Engine coolant never has to be replaced? Everything else runs fine and is good condition. If you have any Questions let me know before buying.
