Chrysler Saratago 1952 Absolutely breathtaking ground up restoration to "brand-new" presentation. This is a truly mint condition Chrysler Saratoga sedan with an original 54,200 miles. The car was a 1 owner from Wichita Kansas right up until 2007. It was purchased by a "maniac of perfection" that made this car the very special example she is today. Since purchase by its collector owner, the car was restored to epic proportions. Over $75,000 was spent on a ground up restoration which delivered a completed car that is literally like new (using modern paint processes, she is actually better!). Nothing was modified or changed, with the entire restoration concept based on "keeping the car original" in presentation. When the car was first purchased in 2007, it was a completely rust-free, totally straight and never painted car. Even in its pre-restoration state, the car presented very well, 100% original and sporting mild patina of a barn find of this vintage. The collector owner engaged a restoration with the strict them; "I want this car to look like it was brand new in 1952". This was achieved with overwhelming success. To give you an idea of its original excellent condition state prior to the restoration, please refer to the photos of the firewall in the car which was never touched during the restoration process - simply cleaned. You can see just how original the car was. The restoration included full strip down of the body, fenders, doors, glass, everything. Back to bare metal and repaint. The colour was perfectly matched from the original by coding and matching to inside door panels and various "un-touched" areas. All the chrome work was redone to A grade standard. This alone was in excess of $15,000. (We are not sure why the hood motifs are gold but can only assume it was a special request of the owner). The engine was stripped down, items rebuilt as needed and each part meticulously repainted prior to reassembly. The underside of the car was treated no differently. Mechanically, the car needs nothing. The interior was completely reupholstered to best matching original fabrics and materials. The dash was not redone and is an excellent testament as to how clean the car was to commence with. The end result of this massive restoration is what you see today; a 52 Chrysler Saratoga that is, for all intents and purposes, a new car. Needless to say, she drives like a new one also. The only "reversible" modifications to be noted are; seat-belts, modern battery with cut-off and radial ply tyres. As for price and value, this is not for the faint-hearted. If your interest to purchase is to attach value based on "what is a 52 Saratoga is, or may be, worth", this car is not for you. THIS 52 Chrysler is for the discerning and nostalgic buyer who wants "a brand new 52 Chrysler". The car is as perfect as you would expect and with some $75,000 spent to get her to this current state, she is most likely the BEST example in the world. Sound all a bit crazy? Well, the owner who restored this beauty was crazy in love with her. The next owner will surely be the same! ~~ I am always reticent in making claims on “show standard” but for this 52 Chrysler, this is everything of a true concours quality car. She is as perfect as one could expect and is 100% show quality. ~~ Click HERE to see additional photos! Click HERE to see additional photos! ~~oo00oo~~ This Chrysler is part of a private collection. I am not a broker or retail-style car dealer; although licensed, I am a professional car collector of some 30 years with considerable experience and knowledge of British and European Cars. I have a long standing reputation being associated with Rolls-Royce and Bentley Motor cars which I take seriously. I take a lot of pride in my cars and have fun in collecting and restoring them. However, auctions are not a game so when you place a bid or offer, and you are the winning bidder, please understand you have entered a binding contract. You cannot bid and win the auction and expect not to meet the terms and conditions. Bidding and/or winning does not mean you are expecting me to “hold” the car until you have the opportunity to inspect it. Any inspection contemplated should be undertaken BEFORE you bid or make an offer and I openly welcome any potential buyer to come and personally inspect the car. Once you bid or make an offer, you are doing so to buy WITHOUT conditions. A $2,000 deposit (non-refundable) is required within 24 hours of the close of the auction and payable by PayPal. The balance of funds are required within 7 days of the close of the auction and must be provided by cashier’s check or bank wire. I cannot accept PayPal for the balance unless you are willing to meet the cost of transfer fees. Full payment must be made (and payments cleared) before the title and/or the vehicle is released. All payments are non-refundable. Payments as described above form an important part of this purchase contract and so, if all the funds are not received as outlined above, I reserve the right to terminate the transaction without notice. If there has been any deposit or other part payments received and I elect to terminate the contract, I reserve the right to keep any such deposits or payments and resell the vehicle to another bidder or interested party or re-list the vehicle at any time. I am happy to assist with shipping arrangements on a national and worldwide basis but the winning bidder takes full responsibility for pickup and/or shipping and at his cost. As a collector and experienced restorer of classic cars, I make every effort to bring my cars to a very high standard. Unless specifically stated, the car is not of show standard but of good quality "driver" condition. Please understand, the very nature of these classics is such that it is not always possible to attend to every single item, or perhaps I may have inadvertently overlooked an item. Please note, fitted radio/stereo systems are usually subject to upgrade by purchasers so I do not ensure operation of these. Further, a feature or function that is working perfectly one moment, may decide to play-up the next. After all, it is some 60 years old. For this reason it is necessary for the following condition: The vehicle is being sold "as-is/where-is" with no warranty expressed, written or implied. Any descriptions or representations are made with reasonable judgment and all efforts are made to ensure fair assessment and accuracy but they are for descriptive and identification purposes only and are not to be construed as a warranty of any type. The seller shall not be responsible for errors in description, authenticity, genuineness, or defects herein and makes no warranty in connection therewith. No allowance or set aside will be made on account of any incorrectness, unforeseen imperfection, defect or damage. It is the responsibility of the buyer to have satisfied himself as to the condition and value and to bid based upon that judgment solely. The seller shall and will make every reasonable effort to disclose any known defects at the buyer’s request prior to the close of the auction. Seller assumes no responsibility for any repairs regardless of any oral statements about the vehicle. Being a classic car in excess of 10 years of age, in most US states, the mileage may be recorded as “exempt”. In this regard the seller makes no warranties as to the accuracy of the mileage indicated or shown. I can hold the vehicle up to 30 days while you arrange shipping but you must immediately insure it. I will not bear any responsibility for any additional costs including storage, transportation, or repair after the close of the auction. Whereas I am happy to store the car in excess of 30 days from auction end, a cost of $35 per day shall apply beyond 30 days of auction end. Also, you must remember that this is a classic +/-60 year old vehicle, and while it is up to you, I do not recommend that you just “hop in and drive it across the country”. At least, I have never done that. I have always professionally transported the cars in enclosed carriers from where I bought them to my home. PLEASE; IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO ABIDE BY THESE TERMS, MESSAGE ME BEFORE YOU BID AS, RESPECTFULLY, THERE CAN BE NO EXCEPTIONS. ~~oo00oo~~

The New Yorker version disappeared for 1952, but reappeared for 1953 when the Saratoga series was dropped. Then in 1969, the Town %26amp; Country became a series in its own right.MotoeXotica Classic Cars is pleased to present the handsome 1953 Chrysler New Yorker Town %26amp; Country you see pictured. This particular classic remained with its original owner in California since 1996 and was extremely loved. Previously the car resided in the dry state of Arizona. It is said to be an original 56,000 mile wagon as the owner seldom drove it after over 20 years of regular driving. It is being sold on an exempt title due to age. We even have the original owner%26#8243; handbook! This is a true California New Yorker!Finished in the original two tone Caravan Beige and Cocoa Brown Metallic, this wagon benefitted from a new paint job in the recent past and it was just what it needed. The paint is in great shape, as well as the body, showing only minor imperfections. While receiving a new paint job, the wagon also got new weather-stripping. There is no shortage of chrome on this classic and the chrome is in good shape, showing only minor imperfections and in original condition. Overall, this New Yorker Town %26amp; Country shows very well.Inside, you will find the seats are wrapped in a textured brown vinyl that looks great and appear original to the car. There is minor wear and imperfections but that is to be expected of a 60 year old car. The headliner was also replaced when the wagon was repainted. It shows minor staining but overall it shows well. The carpet is in great shape, as well as the dashboard, which houses the original gauges and AM radio. The rear trunk floor is finished in wood and looks great while being unique to the Town %26amp; Country wagon.Under the hood, you%26#8236;l find a Chrysler Fire Power 331ci V8 engine. Attached to the engine is an automatic with a %26#8220;Safety Clutch%26#8221; feature, which is similar to a torque limiter or slip clutch. A safety clutch allows the rotating shaft to slip when higher than normal resistance is encountered. The wagon sits upon a set of 15%26#8221; chrome wheels wrapped in P235/75R15 tires. As mentioned before, we do have the original owner%26#8243; handbook. This is a true California car. The %26#8245;3 Chrysler New Yorker Town %26amp; Country VIN is 76583278 and the mileage currently shows 56,206, which is believed to be original. This wagon is being sold on a clean and clear California title. GET OUT AND DRIVE!!! Ad provided by OldCarOnline.com/cond>

You are looking at a 1951 Chrysler Windsor Deluxe 2 door hardtop. The car was with the original owner for the first 50 years of it's life, the second owner had it from 2001 to 2014. The Windsor Deluxe was one level up from the base level Windsor and generally had few more options than the base Windsor other than full carpeting. This car is unusual in that it has almost all the options of the higher end Saratoga and New Yorker cars: factory heater, factory clock, factory radio, Fluid Drive semi-automatic transmission, heavy duty oil bath air cleaner, dual exterior mirrors, even factory dual horns. All glass is perfect, even the 3 piece rear window. The interior is in very nice original shape with seat covers that appear to be from the 50's or 60's. I have not removed them to see what the seats look like underneath but from what I have been able to see they look to be in good shape. The seats are nice and firm. The mohair headliner is in perfect shape, as are the sun visors. The carpet is in good condition as well. There is a rubber floor mat that runs the length of the front floor that's not in real good shape. Areas to address: 1) as you can see in the photos, the passenger side front is dinged. The original owner bumped into something and was told she could no longer drive. This is light damage and easily fixable.2) the carb will need to be rebuilt. 3) The chrome has pitting as can be expected from an early 50's car that's been on the East Coast, but I've seen much worse.4) The heater core has been bypassed. Not sure why that is.5) The flapper to roll up and down the passenger side window is missing. They are occasionally on Ebay6) The passenger side mirror is missing, though the post for it is there. The positives: Very original car. Original paint, original interior, drivetrain, etc. You don't see too many like this around. I have lots of neat things found in the car like road maps from the 60's, old registrations, original dealer warranty card, owners manual and shop manuals. The Windsor runs drives and stops. Transmission shifts nicely. New 6v battery. I did replace the spark plugs and a couple of the spark plug wires but the original wires are still there as you can see in the photos. The only other item I replaced was the rotor. The underside is rock solid, as is the trunk and the engine bay.We did spend close to $1000 on the brakes, as they were shot when we got the car. We replaced the master cylinder (not rebuilt, replaced), wheel cylinders, brake lines, etc. I would still recommend replacing the front wheel cylinders at some point. The last few photos are of the trunk and the under side of the front floor pans to show how solid everything is. I'll be happy to answer any questions you have or provide additional pictures. If you are local, you are more than welcome to come and take the car for a drive it's registered and insured. This is an unusual chance to get a clean and very original 51 Chrysler 2 door hardtop! **Shoot me a decent offer and we'll make it happen!**

The Town & Country was a debut of the first woodie wagon with an all-steel roof; the roof used was that of the big Chrysler Imperial 8-passenger sedan and limousine, which led to a unique (and compromised) rear loading arrangement with wooden double doors that opened hutch-style beneath a fixed rear window. Production of the cars stopped during World War II. In 1941 and 1942, less than 1,000 were manufactured. After the war the Town & Country nameplate returned, but the station wagon body did not. Town & Country sedans, coupés, and convertibles were also produced from 1946 to 1950 in much larger numbers than the prewar wagon. Production of the original, woodie Town & Country ended in 1950. After the woodies were discontinued, the Town & Country name was immediately transferred to a steel-bodied full-size rear wheel drive station wagon, coinciding with the debut of the company's first V8 engine (then called FireDome, but later dubbed HEMI). This wagon introduced several firsts, including roll-down rear windows for tailgates in 1951 and rear-facing third row seats in 1957, rear wipers in 1968, integral air deflectors in 1969 and ignition interlock to prevent children from opening the gate while the car was running in 1971. The 1951 Town & Country wagons were offered in the Windsor, Saratoga and New Yorker series. The New Yorker version disappeared for 1952, but reappeared for 1953 when the Saratoga series was dropped.
