This is my beloved, 1989 Citroen CX Prestige being listed for parts or restoration*(project car). I acquired this car in 1991........This car was imported by CXA in New York, with quality enhancements to meet federal import guidelines of the time. The car was a daily driver until, fuel pump failure after running out of gas, eight years ago. It has been in storage, since then. I meant to restore it, but unfortunately, was not able to get around to it. Now I have to sell it to meet medical expenses. Auto Trans/engine/hydraulics were in good condition with previous running, prior to fuel pump failure. Engine was strong, smooth-running and trans was smooth shifting, in previous running condition. The car has a stock Blaupunkt car radio stereo, (stalk radio control unit, as seen in the picture) and tape player. The radio is mounted in the chassis for security purposes, therefore you don't see it in the dash. The car has AC, but needed servicing at last running, the heat functions normally. There is a key less entry feature with automatic door-locks. The car received sound deadening treatment, which added to the running comfort of the car. I was told by Mark Lally (CXpert, the Citroen mechanic who worked on the car) that the car was the quietest CX, that he had encountered. There are rusted areas of the rear quarter panels, sunroof edges and passenger floor pan. The under-carriage has been treated todiscourage rusting. Sold as is, where is, COMES WITH BILL OF SALE ONLY.----- NO TITLE* (*I may be able to find the title in storage facility, but no guarantee.) I also reserve the right to end the sale early, since it is listed through other sites and locally. All funds must clear bank before car is taken. BUYER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR PICK UP AND SHIPPING/HAULING*. *Transaction/pickup must be completed by Friday, October 31, 2014 THIS IS SOLD AS AN "AS-IS" PARTS CAR No warranties or guarantees apply. Best Offer, for quick sale! Car is located in Hatfield, Pa. 19440Thanks for Looking!

1966 Citroen DS19 Pallas I have finally decided to part ways with my beloved 1966 Citroen DS19 Pallas, it has been in my care since 2010, I purchased it from the wife of the original owner, who ordered the car specifically as a DS19 (1.9L) Pallas (top of the line trim) with a 4 speed manual shift transmission. The car was ordered new when the owner and his wife were living in Paris, however he accepted a job at UCLA in Bel Air, California before the car was formally delivered. Citroen then updated the cars features to North American specs, but it retained its DS19 Pallas trim level that was not available in the US market in 1966, which makes it a rarity- more than likely it is the only North American market factory spec’d DS19 Pallas in existence. I have photos of the car from its delivery day, as well as a detailed notebook showing every detail of service- including fuel “walked in” to the Port of Los Angeles when the original owner picked it up. All of that amongst a huge book of records and receipts showing all services, restorations, parts and details of this car’s entire life. Its factory original color is AC420- Brun Sardione, a mocha brown color that is very pretty, and the interior was once black leather, or so it seems in the historical photos I have of the car. It is now finished in what I believe to be Bleu Camargue, a color only available in 1972-73. The interior is now a very pretty and high quality red leather, with gray piping. It has been described as a very “So Cal looking” car, and as it should be- it spent its whole life in the LA area- specifically Bel Air, it continues to wear its original California Black Plates, and continues active CA state registration, the 2015 sticker arrived just after the photos were taken. The mechanical systems were all gone through before my purchase; the engine was totally rebuilt, as well as the transmission, and the hydraulic system, including the brakes. It was converted to LHM (green fluid) right around 2007. The underbody and structure of this car is excellent. I specifically purchased a car from Southern California because I didn’t want to deal with rust. The entire car is flawless and solid, with the exception of one spot in the trunk floor at the seam where it has split. When I purchased this car it had been sitting for around a year since the original owner passed away, I did some basic maintenance in LA, and then drove it 3,200 miles across the country to Syracuse, NY where it now resides, in climate controlled storage. Over the 3,200 mile trip it preformed at between 25 and 30mpg and cruised at 75+ mph. Currently it runs and drives very well, I rebuilt the rear wheel cylinders recently, and had Steve Hammond at Citraulics rebuild the high pressure hydraulic pump. It has a hydraulic leak from a return line near the front drivers side wheel, as well as from the power steering rack. None of these effect the drivability of the car. I removed the original Cibie driving lights and began a restoration on them, the reflector material had flaked off, they need to be finished. The globes installed in the housings are Hellas, and could be made functional. I have one additional rare Cibie spare housing/light globe assembly that is in great condition that will be included in the sale.

The Citroën CX is an automobile produced by the French automaker Citroën from 1974 to 1991. Citroën sold nearly 1.2 million CXs during its 16 years of production. The CX was voted European Car of the Year in 1975. The name CX is the French equivalent abbreviation of Cd for drag coefficient in English, drawing attention to the cars aerodynamic styling, which was uncommon in 1974. It is considered by some enthusiasts as the last "real Citroën" before Peugeot took control of the company in 1976 Available models were a four-door fastback, a station wagon (break, or estate car), and a long-wheelbase model built on the break chassis. The CX employed Citroën's unique hydropneumatic self-leveling suspension system. The CX was initially a huge success in Europe, more than 132,000 being produced in 1978. It found customers beyond the loyal Citroën DS customer base and brought the technology of the advanced, but somewhat impractical, Citroën SM to the masses. Unlike its principal competitors, the CX did not have worldwide distribution--the cost of development and improvements had to be met from a geographically small sales base The CX Prestige model was used by the French government, including former president Jacques Chirac. It was the official car of DDR head of state Erich Honecker, who ordered several extended versions for official use. A Series 1 CX Saloon features in the 1980 film Private Benjamin, starring Goldie Hawn. A Series 1 CX Saloon features in the Australian film 'Tim' starring Mel Gibson, it was owned & driven by Piper Laurie's character. A Series 1 CX Safari features in the 1980s ITV (UK) children's Sci Fi drama 'Chocky'. Harald V, King of Norway, had a CX in the 70s. The Norwegian government used it in the 80s, as did Panamanian dictator Manuel Noriega. Henri, Grand Duke of Luxembourg, had a special Landaulet created by Henri Chapron for his 1981 wedding. The singer Grace Jones sported a haircut shaped like a CX in a prominent series of advertisements for the GTi Turbo in 1985, and included the CX prominently in her 1985 music video "Slave to the Rhythm". The character Jasper Palmer, played by Michael Caine in the movie Children of Men, drove a vehicle based on a CX Safari. This fitted in with the director's vision of vehicles being futuristic designs based on familiar cars but with an unfamiliar disguise. Similar avant garde vehicles such as the Fiat Multipla and Renault Avantime were also used. During the Summer 2010 season, popular BBC motoring show Top Gear hosted a challenge to its presenters to build a caravan out of an ordinary vehicle, whereupon Jeremy Clarkson built a three-storey house out of a 1988 Citroën CX Break. This vehicle is being sold as is, where is with no warranty, expressed written or implied. In 1971 Maserati introduced its first mid-engine car; the Bora. The Bora was to be Maseratis flagship model utilizing the V8 engine that had been used on the Ghibli and Indy. During this time Maserati was owned by the French company Citroen. Citroen had purchased Maserati to develop a V6 engine for their flagship car. That car was the Citroen SM. To expand their offerings in 1972 Maserati introduced the Merak which was essentially a “baby Bora”. The Merak uses many of the same body panels as the Bora, especially in the front of the car. The power on the Merak was the V6 engine which had been developed for the SM. In order to reduce costs the Merak was to use the interior dashboard of the SM and leather interior was optional. By 1977 the Bora was ending production which left the Merak to fill in the void of Maserati’s flagship sports car. The Merak received a major overhaul and was renamed Merak SS. The engine increased in power and was upgraded with better chain tensioners. Leather interior was now standard. More significantly, the very attractive Bora dash layout replaced the previous.Another significant change was that the Citroen hydraulic system which controlled the brakes was replaced with brakes similar to those used on the Ghibli. This particular Merak SS was sold in October 1980 and has only 14,000 original miles and essentially two owners (the third owner only drove it 20 miles). The paint and interior are original and, as can been seen on the photos, the car presents itself very well. Upon close inspection there is some cracking of the paint on the two front fenders. I was tempted to have a body shop repair these areas but there is something to be said about a car having original paint so I decided to leave it alone. Needless to say the car is accident and rust free. Mechanically the car is very strong. Compression on all cylinders is excellent: 1 – 150psi 4 - 145psi 2 – 155psi 5 - 155psi 3 – 150psi 6 - 155psi Oil pressure is over 100psi at 3,000 rpms with oil at normal operating temperature. 5 speed gearbox shifts very smoothly. All gauges in working order, including the clock. The AC fan is working but does not blow cold. Interior lights, headlights, wipers, radio, electric antenna, electric windows are in working order Undercarriage is clean and you can see most of its original gold cad plating still intact in the suspension and brake parts. The following service was recently done: - Carbs were overhauled - New Euro exhaust manifold installed (USA thermal reactors are really bad) - New distributor cap and spark plug wires - Engine oil and UFI filter - New air filter - New fuel filter - New Continental tires - Replaced fuel lines - New battery - Top chain tension checked - New radiator fans thermo switch - Oil sump checked and cleaned Car comes with original User manuals including the Warranty booklet and window sales sticker. Car was priced at $40,775 in 1980; which is over $122,000 in 2015 dollars. Also included are the original jack and its complete tool kit in like new condition. I have most of the parts needed to convert the bumpers to the more attractive European spec metal bumpers. This includes new front and rear bumpers, new license plate lights, new front turn lights, rear valance and Euro quad pipe rear muffler. The buyer of this car will have first right of refusal to these parts, if not interested in the conversion I will sell the parts separately. If you like low mileage unmolested cars then this Merak SS might be for you. Feel free to call me if you have questions: 770-998-0923 Ivan Terms of Sale Buyer is responsible for shipping and insurance costs. Please only serious bidders. I have described the above mentioned vehicle to the best of my ability. However, with all pre-owned automobiles, the condition is subjective, so I recommend that the potential buyer inspects as well as test drives the vehicle before finalizing purchase. NO BIDDERS WITH ZERO OR NEGATIVE FEEDBACK WITHOUT FIRST CHECKING WITH ME! THIS VEHICLE IS BEING ADVERTISED ELSEWHERE AND COULD BE SOLD BEFORE THE AUCTION HAS COMPLETED. I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CANCEL THE AUCTION AT ANY TIME. I realize buying a car based on a few photos on an internet auction may carry some risks. I want to make sure the buyer feels comfortable with his/her purchase. I will promptly respond to e-mail questions. - $1,000 deposit 24 hours after the end of the auction, Paypal is accepted for the deposit- Balance to be paid via bank wire within 5 days of end of auction - Seller reserves the right to end auction prior to its end. - If the vehicle is not as represented upon personal inspection, I will promptly refund your deposit. No refund after final Bill of Sale is signed. - I always strongly encourage a pre-purchase inspection before making final payment. My intent is for you to be 100% satisfied with your purchase! 1979 Maserati Merak SS, Low Miles, Beautiful Italian Sports Car. Much of the collector market has been somewhat static, but some of the foreign sports cars have been on the run in terms of limited availability and new collectors seeking them out, if you look today for a nice MERAK SS, will be very hard to find, or very expensive. On 1979 this car was compared with FERRARI 246 DINO, nowadays worth around $400,000.00, that means, those Maserati still forgotten. This Maserati Merak SS for sale is a very limited production in what we consider the most desirable color. Besides the wonderful design, these cars are known for their handling characteristics, the car has been kept as part of a collection and runs out just as it should. The Maserati Company, owned by the Orsi family, set out to not only remain involved in racing but to introduce a series production sport and GT car. Orsis sold out to Citroen in 1969 and soon after, the Maserati Merak V6 was introduced in 1971 and Italian styled by Giorgetto Giugiaro. In 1976 Alejandro de Tomaso took over Maserati and improved the Merak in 1978 by replacing the Citroen hydraulically-assisted brake system with the Bora’s ZF five-speed transaxle and larger wheel and tyre package, making the Merak a better balanced performer. Maserati’s build quality greatly improved under de Tomaso’s management. The three-litre Merak is a prime example of a great Maserati engine in a nimble and balanced chassis, with commendable driver and passenger accommodations and wrapped in Giugiaro’s styling, which has more than stood the test of time. The late model "SS" cars (like this example) use the much more attractive leather interior. Only 277 Merak SS were built with the Bora style interior, and are the most desirable. This 1979 Maserati Merak SS for sale here is fly yellow (original color , original paint ) with black interior. This car has 7.856 miles and was always kept in a A/C controlled garage. The car does have paint chips and the usual minor paint lifting around the wheel wells. If you have watched the auctions in the United States and Internationally you will notice that these cars are commanding great prices. With a little TLC you could have a great investment with this car and enjoy the pride of ownership as well. With only 277 of these built you will have the opportunity to own a unique and rare piece of Italian sports car styling. It would be fair to say that car collecting in general is divided into two major groups, the people that collect American cars and people that collect foreign cars. In the world of foreign cars, the cars that seem to be on everybody's bucket list are the two-seater sports cars. The Maserati in this ad could be defined as one of the most interesting and desirable up and coming Maserati collectibles that are out there. Rare Opportunity, Inspections are Welcome.. Please read the ad before “make a offer”. "Car is sold As Is. We encourage bidders to come and inspect the car. We will not accept complains if the car is not inspected, you need to consider that this is a 79 years car and we can not give guaranty warranty whatsoever. Buyer is responsible for Transportation."

Modena - U.S. Specification Bora 4900 Complete with Maserati Classiche Documentation & Original Delivery Forms In 1970, Maserati returned to the mid-engine concept it had considered earlier in the 1960s and in March of 1971, the all-new Bora debuted at Geneva. It featured a sporty but comfortable cabin with air conditioning and an innovative chassis. The Citroen-based, high-pressure hydraulics controlled the windows, pop-up headlights, adjustable seats and pedal box, as well as the ventilated disc brakes. With its 320-hp, 4,930-cc mid-engine V-8 and five-speed manual transmission, the Bora was capable of 0- to 60-mph times in 6.6 seconds, and a top speed exceeding 160-mph. According to the Maserati S.p.A. Classiche Depart of Modena, this menacing Maserati Bora 4.9 was completed to U.S. specifications in "Nero" (black) paint adorned over "Red" Connoly Leather interior with Blaupunkt Frankfurt radio and Series 1 parts supplied. The order for this car, chassis # AM.117.562 was placed by the Grossman Motor Car Corporation with delivery destination to Maserati Automobiles, INC. in Los Angeles, California. All verified by the Certificate of Origin, Delivery Note, End of Line Data Sheet, Final Tests Data Sheet and Technical & Aesthetic Characteristics. The extensive records of service history, chronicles the car as being owned by a Colorado collector as early as 1992. Between 2000-03 he commissioned a major engine-out servicing, performed at Apple Motors, a top Italian car service center. In 2005-06 the Bora was sold to a noted Palm Spring, CA Maserati collector John Boccardo who would enjoy the car in sunny California before entrusting it to Dino Motors of San Mateo, CA to perform a complete engine rebuild from 2007-08. The next major servicing came in 2011 when DGR Performance of Oceanside, CA rebuilt/replaced the suspension bushings, ball joints, hydraulic pump, and installed a completely new exhaust in muffler. It is important to note that since its last major engine rebuild this car has accumulated only 3,000 miles, with all documents included in the sale. Today the car remains a top of line driver that would be an ideal entry into several concours events such as Concorso Italiano and Italian car festivals. With attractive factory colors, exceptional service/ownership history and Maserati Classiche documentation, this 4.9L Maserati Bora is a rare sight in today market and represents a tremendous opportunity for any collector. $223,500.00 Offers Welcomed Full Resolution Photos: 1973 Maserati Bora 4.9L Coupe To learn more about this vehicle, please contact our sales department at (281) 497-1000 or [email protected] SELLING YOUR CAR? For Sale 1987 Mercedes 300D Turbo Diesel in excellent mechanical and driving condition. If you’re looking for a real shiner and beauty this one is not for you. The paint is dull and has a few scratches; however it will not embarrass you anywhere you show up. I still feel good and comfortable pulling into the Santa Barbara four seasons hotel as it still has that classic look and panache of a timeless executive car. It must as I prefer to drive this as a regular driver over my other three newer Benzes. This is a car you can get into and drive across country without the worry of checking under the hood. This Model and year was imported to the U.S. for only (1) one year in limited numbers making it a very difficult vehicle to find especially in good running condition. It took me nearly a year to find this highly sought Mercedes 300D Turbo Diesel. I have spent allot of time and money making this diesel a safe reliable drip free car that I could just get into and drive, drive , drive. I have taken the car on a 1200 mile trip every month for the last 6 months and it drives and performs flawlessly as the miles melt away in comfort and silence. Over the years I have owned it I have taken the time and money to make sure everything works and performs as it was originally supposed to and is always maintained in top mechanical condition. You will not miss any creature comforts or safety features in this car. I have upgraded the lights to Bright white H.I.D. Xenon lights. I also own an E63 AMG so naturally I wanted some of the same stopping attributes and upgraded the braking system. I equipped the car with Drilled and Cross Drilled Rotors all around with New Mercedes Brake pads front and rear. I have updated the stereo with CD player, USB Port, and Auxiliary Jack connection for both Apple and Android devices. I didn’t stop there, The Mercedes also has an OnStar FMV Mirror with blue tooth voice recognition services including dialing by name and directory. A full array of concierge services, directions Mechanical Breakdown Assistance and accident detection through an OnStar Subscription. The OnStar system also acts as a standalone phone system and works in very remote locations. I have also updated the A/C system with no expense spared to the tune of just over 4K which blows ICE Cold. The car has never been in an accident but does have a SALVAGED Title due to the huge expense my insurance company had to pay in completely rebuilding the Air Conditioning system. A New A/C Compressor, New Condenser, New Evaporator New Blower Motor, New Regulator, Receiver/Dryer everything replaced that had to do with cooling including vent motors and servos behind the dash. I recently replaced the drive shaft flex plate’s front and rear and rear CV axels, new belt tensioner shock and Bear Alternator and super heavy duty Battery. Also all services have been performed, Transmission, rear Axle, Radiator with Mercedes Blue Coolant and New Hoses top and Bottom. I have about $7500 invested in making the car reliable, safe and sound. Was it worth it? to most probably not but to me I like safety and convenience and could care less about expense if I am enjoying the ride and creature comforts of today’s technologies in yesterday’s classics. Now for the bad, cruise control does not work and the sunroof is intermittent. This Mercedes is very economical averaging 20 miles in the city and up to 34 on the highway on average. I have done both better and worse with the mileage. I am selling my 300D because it has become time to upgrade to a large Diesel S Class to take on my monthly 1200 mile road trips. Below is additional information about these super cars from Wiiki. W124 is a mid-sized vehicle platform. Due to the high cost of German engineering and build quality, the W124 was designed to last many miles, with awards actually given and worn by high mileage versions. Front suspension uses a separate spring and damper with a rubber top mount. The rear suspension of the W124 features the Mercedes multi-link axle introduced in 1982 with the Mercedes 190 and which is now standard on many modern cars. Estate cars (and optionally, saloons and coupes) had Citroen-like self-leveling rear suspension with suspension struts rather than shock absorbers, gas-filled suspension spheres to provide damping and an under bonnet pressurizing pump. Unlike the traditional Citroën application Mercedes opted for a fixed ride height and employed rear coil springs to maintain the static ride height when parked. Much of the 124's engineering and many of its features were advanced automotive technology at its introduction, incorporating innovations that have been adopted throughout the industry.[6] It had one of the lowest coefficient of drag (Cd) of any vehicle of the time (0.28 for the 200/200D model for the European market with 185/65 R15 tires) due to its aerodynamic body, that included plastic molding for the undercarriage to streamline airflow beneath the car, reducing fuel consumption and wind noise. It had a singlewindscreen wiper that had an eccentric mechanism at its base that extended the wiper's reach to the top corners of the windscreen (more than if it had traveled in a simple arc). The saloon/sedan, coupés and convertibles had optional rear headrests that would fold down remotely to improve rearward visibility when required. This feature was not available for the T-model because of its specific layout (no space to store the retractable headrests), but the station-wagon serially came with a "neighbour-friendly" rear door that was pulled in the shut-position silently and automatically by a sensor-controlled servomotor. With the exception of the 200, which was equipped with a Stromberg or Pierburg carburetor but was not available to the United States, fuel injection was standard, and the engines incorporated features that maximized performance. The most notable such feature was the addition of an oxygen sensor in the exhaust system which, in conjunction with a semi-electronic fuel injection system, could make the engine run more efficiently. This improved fuel consumption while simultaneously meeting stricter emission regulations. Mercedes-Benz's four-wheel drive system, the4Matic was first introduced on the W124 in 1986. The 603.96 engine has a capacity of 2996cc and was an engineering marvel in pre-chamber design and a technological leap forward from the earlier 5 cylinder OM617. It produced 143 hp at 4600 rpm (euro market without catalytic converter produced 148hp) and 195 ft.lb at 2400 rpm with a compression ratio of 22.0:1. Versions 603.96x and 603.97x are turbocharged. Only turbocharged models of the 603 series were available to the U.S. market. The camshafts and injection pump are driven by duplex chain from the crankshaft. A separate single row chain drives the oil pump. The camshaft operated the valves via hydraulic bucket tappets; valve clearance adjustment is automatic. Fuel is injected into a pre-combustion chamber. A Bosch M in-line injection pump is used, with a mechanical governor and vacuum-operated stop control. The pump is lubricated by a connection to the engine oil circulation and the fuel lift pump is mounted on the side of the injection pump. Preheating is by glow plugs with automatic control of preheating time.

1988 Nissan Pao Limited Edition Japanese Domestic Market Car 127,000 original kilometers = 79,000 original miles Very original example with accessories Up for auction is a car you don't often see in the United States. In the mid 1980's Nissan celebrated opening it's new "Pike" factory by making and selling 4 different limited edition retro cars based on existing Nissan Micra and Sentra models. To purchase this car you had to reserve a car a special Nissan Cherry Store from January 15th to April 14th 1988 and then wait for your car to be built. This car is the second in the series. It is more "retro" than the first car, the Be-1, as well as more usable with it's 2 piece hatch back with fold down tailgate. The car evokes the original mini with it's exposed door hinges, the Renault 4 with it's basic shape and flat (almost windshield), the Citroen 2CV with it's corrugated sides and 2 piece horizontally split rear seat windows. Inside it's the same with a flat body colour painted dashboard, quasi military looking radio, and simple single analog round speedometer. This example sports the rare manual transmission, with the rare khaki paint, and the rare hardtop, instead of a power canvas sunroof. The car is 25 years old with 79,000 miles. There is wear evident with that much use on the car. It runs and drives fine, but the tires are an older matching set with more age than tread wear, the driver's door pins need new bushings, and the brakes are a little squeaky sometimes(new pads were recently installed and I don't know if it's a bedding in issue, or the fact that the pads did not come with shims to help squeaks and rattles). You cannot see it in the pics but on the right side of the vehicle under the rear seat window there is patch of clear coat that has peeled about the size and shape of a football. From 10 feet away it completely blends in. The radio has been converted so that it gets North American frequencies (Japan uses 76-90 for it's FM), but dial still shows the Japanese frequencies. I also have the car for sale locally and reserve the right to end it due to a local sale. The car is registered in Washington State in my name. Washington state will allow you to keep the car registered in Washington even with an out of state license, meaning you will keep Washington plates on it and renew your tabs through the mail if you wish to do it that way. Sorry I couldn't post the serial number in the VIN spot. It's JDM 10 digit serial number: PK10108157. Reserve: Out of fairness this is an auction and the reserve is held in confidence. Please bid whatever you would like to pay for the car. Please only bid if you intend to honor the bidding process as a contract to buy the car. I welcome any and all questions about the car and will answer them in a timely manner. Thanks for looking! On Jul-05-14 at 15:45:17 PDT, seller added the following information: I've had several requests for a phone number. My number is 360-752-1395. Please call at a respectable time, Pacific time zone. [email protected] 5527 Lakeview Road, Charlotte, NC, 28269, US 1982 DeLorean DMC-12 1,418 Actual Mile DMC-12 Back to The Future! Year: 1982 Type of vehicle title: Clear Primary color: Gray Mileage: 1418 Transmission type: 3 Speed Automatic Engine: 2.85 L V6 Interior color: Gray Vehicle info What's the first thing you think of when you see a pristine DeLorean DMC-12? Doc Brown's crazy hair? Marty McFly's '80s slang? How to source enough Plutonium to perfect your attempt at time travel? Well, some folks here at RK Motors Charlotte DO have crazy hair. And we make it a point to include era-correct slang in many of our write ups. But, unfortunately, we can't source Plutonium or attempt time travel. While that might seem a bit 'heavy', we can sell you a showroom-fresh classic like this 1,418-mile DeLorean that's so nice it's virtually timeless. So, if you're willing to limit your time travel to something that's more akin to a time capsule, step into the realm of this stunning DMC-12 where, as John Z. DeLorean put it, "unique is a virtue"! Production of 'The DeLorean' was a direct result of many automotive forces combining their skills to create something universally beneficial. In America, Detroit visionary John Z. DeLorean had quickly climbed the ranks of Chrysler, Packard and General Motors in hopes of establishing his own automotive entity. In Italy, world-renowned stylist Giorgetto Giugiaro was in the midst of introducing a crisp design language dubbed 'folded paper'. And in the UK, storied Lotus founder Colin Chapman was looking for engineering work to fund his troubled automotive boutique. In 1975, DeLorean officially chartered the DeLorean Motor Company. By 1976, he had a running prototype of the 'Z Tavio', an innovative coupe that would be offered to the public for roughly $12K. In 1978, DeLorean Motor Company broke ground on its first factory in Dunmurry, Northern Ireland. And in 1981, with the help of Giugiaro and Chapman, the DMC-12 was officially introduced. DMC's sensational coupe takes shape thanks to Glass Reinforced Plastic that's cloaked in brushed, 304-grade stainless. The idea was to create a profile that wouldn't chip, fade or blemish. And, knowing stainless is notoriously hard to re-shape, DeLorean made sure every panel could be replaced as needed. Designed to be both fun and efficient, that profile achieves a super slick .35 Coefficient of Drag. Noise and vibrations are isolated via Lotus-developed polyurethane foam. And plastic, body-matched bumpers ensure years of low-speed durability. This particular DMC-12 differs from typical low-mileage examples in that its current owner conducted a $30K update which was designed to address known durability issues. That means you can purchase this showroom-fresh gem with the confidence of knowing everything, from its fresh tires to its re-grained steel, is right, tight and ready to roll! A late 1982 build that was actually assembled by Consolidated International, this car represents the very best of what Dunmurry had to offer. And, as a fully-sorted garage queen that's only seen three owners, it's one of the nicest DeLoreans on the planet! At the front of its body, a freshly painted valence hangs clear headlights, amber parking lamps and a familiar, "DMC" branded grille over a wind-cheating spoiler. At the top of that grille, a '82-exclusive hood founds a '82-exclusive "DeLorean" script in front of dark-tint glass and functional engine louvers. At the sides of those louvers, freshly striped fenders center power, partitioned windows between sporty hash marks and clean "DMC" call-outs. And at the back of the car, a second freshly painted valence centers new taillights above small stainless exhaust tips. During the DMC-12's development, engineers considered a variety of powerplants. For example, DeLorean's original prototype utilized a Citroen rotary mill. When that engine went out of production, Ford's Cologne V6 was heavily considered. But, ultimately, the 2.85 litre Peugeot Renault Volvo V6 was chosen for its combination of performance and durability. Utilizing aluminum construction, overhead camshafts and 2 valves per cylinder, this proven powerplant turns smooth 8.8 to 1 compression into a 130 horsepower and 162 lb./ft. torque. And, despite moving a relatively heavy payload, those respectable numbers provide great fuel economy! Aesthetically, everything on this PRV, from its stock internals to its Bosch fuel injection, reflects a history of fastidious maintenance. Twist the key and the cylinders rumble to life, sending their rhythmic notes through a subtle exhaust system. And with one tap of the throttle, the engine zings smoothly toward redline. Take a look under this factory-spec cruiser and you'll find straight, freshly-sorted mechanicals that are clean and weather-free. Originally intended as a mid-engine platform, the DeLorean ultimately slid its V6 rearward to accommodate a 3-speed Peugeot Renault Volvo transaxle. The car's body rides on a 2-piece Glass Reinforced Plastic monocoque that's mated to a Lotus-inspired double-Y chassis. That chassis' fully independent suspension combines speed proportional rack and pinion steering with two 10-inch rotors, two 10.5-inch rotors and four power-assisted calipers. Exhaust rolls through stainless steel pipes that, like the car's stainless exterior and epoxied chassis, were built with ultimate durability in mind. At the corners of the floor, a-symmetrical alloys spin 195/60R14 Falken Ziex ZE-912s in front of 225/60R15 Falken Ziex ZE-912s. And, if you're a stickler for absolute authenticity, the car's original Goodyear NCTs ARE included with our sale. DMC offered strictly monochromatic leather inside their futuristic creation and, accordingly, this 12's clean cabin is decked in factory-fresh gray. Hoist the LED-lit doors and a plush driving environment kicks off with a pair of comfy buckets that were specifically designed to accommodate the 6'4" stature of creator John DeLorean. In front of those buckets, a pliable dash anchors correct 80 MPH gauges above electronic climate control and a modern Pioneer CD player. Below that dash, a stitched leather console centers a decidedly 80s shifter and factory power window switches on fresh carpet that's protected by "DMC" branded floor mats. Opposite that console, padded side panels hang controls for both power mirrors and power door locks above sculpted armrests and small pull straps. Above those panels, a new headliner frames small reading lamps and a self-dimming mirror. In front of the driver, a leather-wrapped, 3-spoke steering wheel laps a fully adjustable column. Behind the passengers, a small cargo hold features a requisite Flux Capacitor. And in front of the cockpit, a forward-tilt bonnet reveals four cubic feet of storage space. The sale of this would-be time machine includes an original owner's manual, an original service manual, a stack of restoration receipts, a re-graining kit and an original cassette player. In many ways, The DeLorean's story mimics the Back to the Future franchise that was built around it: a passionate belief in infinite possibility, and how the past and present relate to the future. With a forward-thinking mindset, the car's creator looked around and saw things he could improve upon. He used established design and engineering to promote progress and create something significantly advanced. And today, thanks to its unique design and pop culture fortune, this DMC-12 reminds us of optimal times reminiscent of Marty McFly's 1985. One thing is certain: like McFly, this righteous classic has a very bright future! About this auction & rk motors charlotte Please note that all sales are binding and final. It runs great, looks great with no problems found. Don't miss out on this beautiful collectible! Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow Factory Specs The Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow is a luxury car that was produced in Great Britain in various forms from 1965 to 1980. It was the first Rolls-Royce to use a monocoque chassis, a response to concerns that the company was falling behind in automotive innovation. To date, the Silver Shadow has the largest production volume of any Rolls-Royce. Overview Following in the manufacturer's tradition of building luxury vehicles, the standard wheelbase Silver Shadow measured 224 inches (5,700 mm), 4,700 lb (2,100 kg) and had a book price of pounds6,557[2] in the first year of production. The Silver Shadow was produced from 1965 to 1976, and the Silver Shadow II from 1977 to 1980. Design and engineering The design was a major departure from its predecessor, the Silver Cloud; although several styling cues from the Silver Cloud were modified and preserved, as the automobile had sold well. The John Polwhele Blatchley design was the firm's first single bow model. More than 50% of its predecessor had been sold on the domestic market where, by the standards of much of Europe and most of North America, roads were narrow and crowded.[4] The original Shadow was 3 1?2 inches (8.9 cm) narrower and 7 inches (18 cm) shorter than the car it replaced, but nevertheless managed to offer increased passenger and luggage space thanks to more efficient packaging made possible by unitary ("monocoque") construction.[4] Aside from a more modern appearance and construction, the Silver Shadow introduced many new features such as disc rather than drum brakes, and independent rear suspension, rather than the outdated live axle design of previous cars. The Shadow featured a 172 hp (128 kW) 6.2 L V8 from 1965 to 1969, and a 189 hp (141 kW) 6.75 L V8 from 1970 to 1980. Both powerplants were coupled to a General Motors-sourced Turbo Hydramatic 400 transmission, except on pre-1970 right-hand-drive models, which used the same 4-speed automatic gearbox as the Silver Cloud (also sourced from GM). The car's most innovative feature was a high-pressure hydraulic system licensed from Citroen, with dual-circuit braking and hydraulic self-levelling suspension. At first, both the front and rear of the car were controlled by the leveling system; the front levelling was deleted in 1969 as it had been determined that the rear levelling did almost all the work. Rolls-Royce achieved a high degree of ride quality with this arrangement. Silver Wraith II Initially, the long-wheelbase model did not have a separate name, but in 1976, with the introduction of the Silver Shadow II, the longer car was dubbed the Silver Wraith II. The Wraith II is identified by all of alterations found on the Silver Shadow II and additionally an Everflex covered roof (also available as an option on the Silver Shadow II), a smaller rear opera-style window (some customers deleted the smaller back window: for example Joe Bamford of JCB) and different wheel covers. Some Silver Wraith IIs were also fitted with electric divisions which took up the extra four inches of leg room in the rear. Vehicles fitted with the division are now considered highly desirable WE DO REQUIRE A $500 DEPOSIT VIA CREDIT CARD OR CASH IN PERSON WITHIN 24 HOURS AUCTION OR LISTING CLOSE. WE DO NOT ACCEPT PAYPAL.
