Its done is the style of the old Muscle Cars, dog dish hubcaps and Firestone wide oval tires. Its powered by a 351 Cleveland engine, FMX automatic transmission and tuff 9 inch rear-end. The body is straight when you look down the sides, the red paint slick, the black interior looks good, the lights work, the glass is clear and the chrome real good. This is not a $100,000 roll out of the trailer show queen, but to me its a extra nice car. UP FRONT, please read this: I bought this car as a Fastback and can not tell that it was born as a Grande. Some time in the past the car must have been converted to a fastback and I think the builder did a great job. You can buy the kits to convert, google it and you can see what it take to convert. I think it would cost at least $10,000 to do it right. The only way I could tell its a conversion was when I ran the VIN 04 numbers and it came back as a Grande. Mustang fastbacks are cost so much now that you see this done to get a good body. It does affect the price, but if its done right you have to run the VIN to tell. I am not adverting this as a born fastback, I'm advertising it as a very good replica, its sort of like converting to GT or SS. LOTS OF PICTURES BELOW, JUST SCROLL DOWN! LOTS OF DETAILS BELOW, JUST SCROLL DOWN! VIN: 0F04H159898 HOW IS THE PAINT? I consider the paint nice! It is the bright red, it looks like the candy apple red from Ford in the day. I see no dents, no dings and no rust bubble. The door jambs and under side of the trunk and hood are painted very presentable. The worst thing I see is a touched up chip or two. The paint has a extra good shine, very few swirl marks. I consider it as good as I want to driver. HOW IS THE CHROME? It all looks nice to me. Bumpers good, door handles good, stainless around the windows nice, window divider has a few pits. HOW IS THE GLASS? The windshield must be new, I see no marks or chips. The side window roll up and down decent. The back window is good with some very minor marks. HOW IS THE INTERIOR? It looks good, the carpet nice, dash pad has no cracks, seat covers good with very minor wrinkles, door panels real good, headliner looks new (it could have been pulled tighter). DO THE LIGHTS WORK? The turn signals work, tail lights work, brakes lights work, side markers work, head lights work, interior side lights work. HOW IS THE ENGINE? Its a 351 Cleveland with the Ford 2V carburetor. I hear no knocks, no pings and see no blue smoke. It has a manual choke added and its dressed up nice. Its a good engine, I don't have a clue on the history as far as it being rebuilt. HOW IS THE TRANSMISSION? It looks like the Ford FMX automatic to me. DOES THE CAR LEAK FLUILDS? I would consider no bad leaks, I would consider some minor weeping. Fact is most of these old car weep some fluilds and leave a few drops on the clean floor. The worst thing I noticed on my rack was the dampness around the transmission pan, I did tighten the bolts, they were loose, I will not promise you it will not leave a drop. HOW ARE THE BRAKES? The are 4 wheel disc, the rear disc added. No parking brake, the cables look to be in place, I will check it closer and repost. HOW DOES THE CAR DRIVE? I think it drives good for a early Mustang, it is power steering. GAS GAUGE WORKS! WIPERS WORK! HEATER BLOWER WORKS! SPEEDOMETER WORKS! OIL AND TEMP WORK! HORN IS NOT WORKING! HAVE ANY BODY PANELS BEEN REPLACED? Yes, part of the floors and the quarter panels, it looks like they did a real good job. WHEELS AND TIRES: Factory steel wheels with nice dog dish hubcaps and Firestone wide oval bias belted tires, they sure don't ride as good as modern radials. Past owner liked the plain old school Muscle Car look. I think several old school Muscle Cars had this look, like the CoPo Camaro. EXHAUST SYSTEM: Good used condition, the mufflers sound like Flow Master, but I am not famalier with the brand. I hear a some rattles, I will try to fix them befor it sells. WHERE IS THE CAR LOCATED? Its done is the style of the old Muscle Cars, dog dish hubcaps and Firestone wide oval tires. Its powered by a 351 Cleveland engine, FMX automatic transmission and tuff 9 inch rear-end. The body is straight when you look down the sides, the red paint slick, the black interior looks good, the lights work, the glass is clear and the chrome real good. This is not a $100,000 roll out of the trailer show queen, but to me its a extra nice car. UP FRONT, please read this: I bought this car as a Fastback and can not tell that it was born as a Grande. Some time in the past the car must have been converted to a fastback and I think the builder did a great job. You can buy the kits to convert, google it and you can see what it take to convert. I think it would cost at least $10,000 to do it right. The only way I could tell its a conversion was when I ran the VIN 04 numbers and it came back as a Grande. Mustang fastbacks are cost so much now that you see this done to get a good body. It does affect the price, but if its done right you have to run the VIN to tell. I am not adverting this as a born fastback, I'm advertising it as a very good replica, its sort of like converting to GT or SS. LOTS OF PICTURES BELOW, JUST SCROLL DOWN! LOTS OF DETAILS BELOW, JUST SCROLL DOWN! VIN: 0F04H159898 HOW IS THE PAINT? I consider the paint nice! It is the bright red, it looks like the candy apple red from Ford in the day. I see no dents, no dings and no rust bubble. The door jambs and under side of the trunk and hood are painted very presentable. The worst thing I see is a touched up chip or two. The paint has a extra good shine, very few swirl marks. I consider it as good as I want to driver. HOW IS THE CHROME? It all looks nice to me. Bumpers good, door handles good, stainless around the windows nice, window divider has a few pits. HOW IS THE GLASS? The windshield must be new, I see no marks or chips. The side window roll up and down decent. The back window is good with some very minor marks. HOW IS THE INTERIOR? It looks good, the carpet nice, dash pad has no cracks, seat covers good with very minor wrinkles, door panels real good, headliner looks new (it could have been pulled tighter). DO THE LIGHTS WORK? The turn signals work, tail lights work, brakes lights work, side markers work, head lights work, interior side lights work. HOW IS THE ENGINE? Its a 351 Cleveland with the Ford 2V carburetor. I hear no knocks, no pings and see no blue smoke. It has a manual choke added and its dressed up nice. Its a good engine, I don't have a clue on the history as far as it being rebuilt. HOW IS THE TRANSMISSION? It looks like the Ford FMX automatic to me. DOES THE CAR LEAK FLUILDS? I would consider no bad leaks, I would consider some minor weeping. Fact is most of these old car weep some fluilds and leave a few drops on the clean floor. The worst thing I noticed on my rack was the dampness around the transmission pan, I did tighten the bolts, they were loose, I will not promise you it will not leave a drop. HOW ARE THE BRAKES? The are 4 wheel disc, the rear disc added. No parking brake, the cables look to be in place, I will check it closer and repost. HOW DOES THE CAR DRIVE? I think it drives good for a early Mustang, it is power steering. GAS GAUGE WORKS! WIPERS WORK! HEATER BLOWER WORKS! SPEEDOMETER WORKS! OIL AND TEMP WORK! HORN IS NOT WORKING! HAVE ANY BODY PANELS BEEN REPLACED? Yes, part of the floors and the quarter panels, it looks like they did a real good job. WHEELS AND TIRES: Factory steel wheels with nice dog dish hubcaps and Firestone wide oval bias belted tires, they sure don't ride as good as modern radials. Past owner liked the plain old school Muscle Car look. I think several old school Muscle Cars had this look, like the CoPo Camaro. And today, the car sits as a revered collection of well-aligned panels and ridged character lines that presents a stunning, show worthy appearance. For 1970 the Mustang received a smoother body, a less aggressive face, a flat rear valence and a variety of balanced trim tweaks. The idea was to tame looks that some believed were hindering sales and better the car's performance in crucial SCCA Trans Am events. At the leading edge of this super slick Boss, a correct, Mustang-branded grille hangs bright halogen headlights between familiar 'fender fins', a pristine bumper, clear parking lamps and an aggressive chin spoiler. At the top of that grille, a solid Mustang hood leads the eye to like-new glass that's framed in satin-finished wipers, correct sport mirrors and straight stainless trim. At the sides of that glass, re-fashioned fenders combine with chrome-trimmed marker lamps and classy chrome door handles to provide an aggressive, yet finished appearance. And at the back of those fenders, a Satin Black valence anchors an ornate fuel filler and segmented tail lights between a correct decklid spoiler, a fresh "MUSTANG" script, a second pristine bumper and wide-set reverse lamps. But hey, never mind all that talk about how pretty the trim is, what really matters is under the hood! Never disassembled, and still churning to factory specifications, the car's 302 cubic inch Windsor small block utilizes Cleveland-style heads, a race prepped crank, a solid lifter cam, heavy duty rods and forged pistons to create over 290 horsepower. At the top of the Ford Blue mill, a finned and "COBRA" branded air cleaner feeds two Holley 4-barrels that are seated on a big Shelby intake. In front of those Holleys, a traditional points distributor sequences fire between an Autolite coil, an Autolite voltage regulator and fresh Autolite Radio Resistance plug wires. At the sides of that distributor, long-tube headers funnel spent gases into a menacing, side-exit exhaust system. And in front of those headers, a tagged radiator sends water around a big fan via pliable hoses and tight screw clamps. As you can probably tell, the raucous engine has been trimmed in chrome and crowned with sweet aluminum valve covers. That bejeweled appearance contrasts well against Satin Black fenders and a full array of decals. And everything, from the car's correct Autolite rev limiter to its tagged Autolite Sta-Ful battery, looks 100% authentic and complete. Aesthetically, the bottom of this clean Ford has been restored to the same high standards as its striking exterior and pristine engine compartment. Behind the motor, a wide-ratio 4-speed spins a correct Traction Lok differential around competent, road-ready gears. Holding that awesome drivetrain off the ground is a correctly restored suspension which mixes fresh paint with new Koni shocks. At the ends of that suspension, standard manual steering combines with power front disc and rear drum brakes to provide competent track capability. Overhead, clean, oversprayed floorpans, the only place the car has ever needed new metal, look solid and ready to show. In the middle of those floors, a fresh true-dual exhaust system pipes roasted dinosaurs through an H-shaped crossover and thin, glasspack-style mufflers. At the sides of that exhaust, mirrored Magnum 500s twist meaty 245/60R15 BF Goodrich Radial T/As around galloping horse center caps. And everything, from this Mustang's stainless fuel tank to its factory sway bars, is fully sorted, ready to show and itching to go! Inside this blue oval beaut, a correct black interior features freshly re-covered seats and simple stainless accents that blend seamlessly with the car's awesome exterior panels. Everything from the tight headliner to the fade-free carpet appears restoration-fresh. The dash is loaded with rebuilt and re-chromed gauges, features a correct stereo, and looks good in wood trim that's as vivid as the day it rolled through the showroom. At the floor, a traditional Hurst T-handle rides inside a stylish, hard-lined console. In front of the driver, a Rim Blow steering wheel spins a bright wood rim around a tri-color Mustang emblem. Behind the passengers, a completely restored trunk features a correct jack, correct lid decals and a collapsible spare tire. The flat-head engine runs sweet, the red paint is nice, the tan interior shows no wear, clear glass, gleaming chrome, 3 on the tree shifting is good, over-drive transmission works, it drives and runs like a dreaM. 96 pictures blow, just scroll down to see them. HISTORY: This car was restored by my good friend Danny. He bought it at a car show just South of us in Cleveland, Tennessee. He is now in his 70s and has too many cars to enjoy and take care of. I have sold one and he has decided to keep his 40 Ford coupe and 1956 baby bird. TITLE: Clear Tennessee title in hand. HOW IS THE PAINT? Very slick PPG concept paint. I see no dents or dings, I see 2 super tiny chips that are touched up. The car is very straight to look down the sides and the panel fit is good. Original paint can with code comes with the car. HOW IS THE CHROME? Bumpers, grill and emblems look new. All I see is a couple of scuffs on the trim on the windows that roll up. HOW IS THE GLASS? All I see is crytal clear glass. HOW IS THE CONVERTIBLE TOP? Looks new, it is power. HOW IS THE INTERIOR? No wear and it is clean, chrome trim nice, paint nice. HOW IS THE ENGINE? The flat head engine runs like it should. HOW IS THE TRANSMISSION? It shifts good and does not jump out of gear. The over-drive is working. CAR IS ORIGNAL 6 VOLTS, it has a 8 volt battery and the voltage regulator is adjusted for it. DO THE LIGHTS WORK? The only thing I see is the left turn signal flashes fast. HOW DOES THE CAR DRIVE AND STOP? To me it drives like new and stops real good. HOW IS THE UNDERSIDE? Frame is very solid, original under coating, I see a couple of welded in metal patchs and the bottom of the spare tire drum is ugly. The car has lots of the original under coating. To be honest Danny did a beautiful job on outside cosmetics, but the under side is ugly, but solid. He built it to keep and drive, not to jack up at a car show. If you want beutiful on the under side pay somebody to sand, bush and paint. THE ORGINIAL RADIO IS IN PLACE, it does not work. Car now has a nice JVC AM/FM CD player mounted under the dash. HOW LONG HAS THE CAR BEEN RESTORED? It looks like it was done a few months ago, but it has been near 15 years. To me this is better than a fresh job that covers things up. WHERE IS THE CAR LOCATED? The flat-head engine runs sweet, the red paint is nice, the tan interior shows no wear, clear glass, gleaming chrome, 3 on the tree shifting is good, over-drive transmission works, it drives and runs like a dreaM. 96 pictures blow, just scroll down to see them. HISTORY: This car was restored by my good friend Danny. He bought it at a car show just South of us in Cleveland, Tennessee. He is now in his 70s and has too many cars to enjoy and take care of. I have sold one and he has decided to keep his 40 Ford coupe and 1956 baby bird. TITLE: Clear Tennessee title in hand. HOW IS THE PAINT? Very slick PPG concept paint. I see no dents or dings, I see 2 super tiny chips that are touched up. The car is very straight to look down the sides and the panel fit is good. Original paint can with code comes with the car. HOW IS THE CHROME? Bumpers, grill and emblems look new. All I see is a couple of scuffs on the trim on the windows that roll up. HOW IS THE GLASS? All I see is crytal clear glass. HOW IS THE CONVERTIBLE TOP? Looks new, it is power. HOW IS THE INTERIOR? No wear and it is clean, chrome trim nice, paint nice. HOW IS THE ENGINE? The flat head engine runs like it should. HOW IS THE TRANSMISSION? It shifts good and does not jump out of gear. The over-drive is working. CAR IS ORIGNAL 6 VOLTS, it has a 8 volt battery and the voltage regulator is adjusted for it. DO THE LIGHTS WORK? The only thing I see is the left turn signal flashes fast. HOW DOES THE CAR DRIVE AND STOP? To me it drives like new and stops real good. HOW IS THE UNDERSIDE? Frame is very solid, original under coating, I see a couple of welded in metal patchs and the bottom of the spare tire drum is ugly. The car has lots of the original under coating. To be honest Danny did a beautiful job on outside cosmetics, but the under side is ugly, but solid. He built it to keep and drive, not to jack up at a car show. If you want beutiful on the under side pay somebody to sand, bush and paint. THE ORGINIAL RADIO IS IN PLACE, it does not work. Car now has a nice JVC AM/FM CD player mounted under the dash. HOW LONG HAS THE CAR BEEN RESTORED? It looks like it was done a few months ago, but it has been near 15 years. To me this is better than a fresh job that covers things up. WHERE IS THE CAR LOCATED?
