This is a San Francisco Bay Area original having been built 12 miles down the road from where it sits in Milpitas at Fords San Jose plant nearly 50 years ago. This car was a recent trade in at a large San Francisco import dealership. Apex is the highest volume independent dealer on the West Coast with over 200 automobile transactions per week. We get all the trades from all of the major highline dealers from Monterey to Silicon Valley, from San Francisco to Napa County we have many vehicles pass through are hands on a daily bases and this classic 1969 Mustang Convertible is an example. I just bought this car last week so I know very little about it other than the previous owner has spent a great deal of money restoring the car and the dealership gave a $20,000 trade in allowance. I am offering it today to a worldwide audience exactly the way I bought it. I have tried to show every angle of the car and will describe what I see as well as include a condition report from the inspection of out shop. As you can see it is a very clean, good running driver. She fires right up and sounds great with Flowmaster exhaust. It is a very clean car with shiny red paint that looks like a quality base coat and clear coat with lots of clear and looks to be a quality job. I have no idea of who did or when it was done but visually looks very nice. The negatives are a little bit of over spray in the engine compartment and the door jams. I believe the original color is white. The hard part is done with a little detail work in an afternoon this could be a very affordable show car. The car has the optional 210HP "F" code 302 which runs very strong. It seems like a low mileage engine but have no idea of what the miles are or when it was rebuilt. It has what looks like a brand new Edelbrock carburator and an aluminum Edelbrock intake, has headers and bright chrome Edelbrock valve covers. The 3 speed automatic shifts smooth as it should. The brakes are like new. It has the optional Magnum 500 chrome wheels with very nice tires. The hard work has been done with a little bit of detail you could make a super clean little show car that will only go up in value. This is a very clean classic Mustang Convertible driver, it fires up and runs great as it is however a work in progress that at this point a great deal of money has been invested. It is however not a show car and we have compiled a extensive condition report on the car so please read carefully as this car is being sold as you see it. When it comes to classic muscle cars if the top goes down the price goes up. You really can't go wrong with a convertible Mustang from the 60's. **** ESTATE SALE **** Selling for the ESTATE of the second owner who purchased the Car in 1968 ....... A 1960 Buick LeSabre Convertible. A California Car with only 109,000 original miles and this Car get's more attention than anything you can imagine driving. Quite simply ...... This car makes people smile........ No matter where you go with it ..... everyone young and old has a positive reaction to this Car. We are selling this Car for the son of the longtime second owner. His father purchased the Car in 1968 and owned it until his death in January of this year. About 15 years ago his father undertook a light restoration of the Car and the exterior was re-painted the original color and the some exterior trim pieces were replaced that were showing pitting. The Chrome on this Car is very nice today with no pitting or rust. The interior was also spruced up with new interior carpeting and the black and white Tuxedo interior is quite striking. All of the 150 photos in the slideshow at the bottom of this listing were taken in the past few days and represent the current condition of this classic. At the same time the cylinder heads on the original engine were done and things like a new exhaust and new shock's were installed. Since this has always been a California Car ....... it is NOT a rust bucket as you might expect to find in a Car that is 55 years old. The only noticeable rust spots are just in front of each of the rear tires and both spots are smaller than a deck of cards. Please take the time to watch the slideshow and you will see easily the parts that were replaced and parts that are still original. This Buick even has the original owner's manual in the glove compartment. A box of original parts is in the trunk and goes with the Car. I think one of the strong points for this Car is the fact that it can be enjoyed NOW ........ without doing anything at all to it. This is NOT a project Car needing a lot of work before you can enjoy it ....... All this Car needs is a full tank of fuel and it is ready to be driven. No matter how you figure it ..... this Car has not been driven very much. In 55 years it has averaged about 2,000 miles per year and according to the owners son ..... only about 85 miles per year in the past 15 years. No smoke when you start this LeSabre and no leaks on the garage floor after you turn it off. This is a tight un-molested California Car that will give the new owner's years of pleasure and for not a lot of money. Certainly this is a good platform for anyone who wants to restore one ..... but even better for someone who wants to buy one and enjoy it now. Buick and the rest of Detroit was just starting to downsize American Cars in 1960 as the fins and the Cars began to get a bit smaller. This Le Sabre was one of 13,500 examples produced and sold in 1960 and it would have set you back about $3,150.00 to own one. By comparison the top of the line GM convertible of the day was a Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz that cost $7,400.00. .........This Buick has the standard 364 cubic inch V-8 producing 250 horsepower with 10.25:1 compression and that is coupled to a smooth shifting automatic transmission. A great running car made for the U.S. Interstate highway system that was just being completed when this Buick was produced. After the restoration was completed about 15 years ago the owner's son reports that the Car was used sparingly for events like a family wedding's , local parades in Rio Vista, California and other special afternoon outings. All told he thinks the Car was driven about 600 miles in the past 15 years ....... until we picked up the Car in northern California in July of this year and DROVE it south about 550 miles to our shop in Indio, California. The Car drove great and is most comfortable around 70 miles an hour. The Car has been cleaned & waxed and we improved the brake system with a new master cylinder and brake booster but that is all that was needed ..... as we wanted to preserve it as it is. The Car starts easy and drives like a dream. This Car is NOT a trailer queen and it is not a project Car ....... It is a very sharp driver that you will have fun with ........There are some chips in the paint plus the 2 rust spots that we mentioned ...... but as the photos clearly show ...... it is a striking example of pure Americana and very usable just as it is. No rips or tears in the tuxedo interior and the convertible top is in better than average condition. If I were keeping the Car I might replace the plastic rear window but would not replace the top at this point. The electric bench seat still works and the electric radio antenna works ..... plus the power top is still functioning. ...... For Sale - 1967 Ford GT Mustang S Code VIN 7R02S174013. True GT S-Code 4spd car. Not many of these come up for sale as these are quite rare these days. Marti report details Car was built in San Jose, sold out of S & C Ford in San Francisco. Back then S & C Ford was one of the top dealers known for high performance vehicles, they sold quite a bit of Shelbys and Cobras. This fastback has been in San Jose all it's life. I believe I am the third owner, I purchased car in 1987. It was sitting under a tree covered in leaves here in San Jose area, the original engine had been taken out, not sure why, but I made sure to bring it when I bought the car. The car had a very mild 302 engine in it. I have since then always ran small block engines in it. The 390 engine has been sitting on an engine stand the whole time so if you plan on putting that back in it will need to be refreshed. But as you can see it has the correct S CODE stampings, GT exhaust manifolds and correct 4bbl carb. I believe I also have the air cleaner as well. The current engine is a small block ford race 302 full roller motor, it has the e 303 race cam, Edlebrock performer aluminum heads, and victor jr intake, 7qt race oil pan, MSD ignition. The engine only has about 2,000 miles on it, if that. I have used the car as a show and track car. The engine runs strong on the track and is also very streetable and reliable. This engine runs very, very cool with the aluminum big block radiator. The trans is the original big block toploader, so it does have the shorter input shaft, the small block top loaders have a longer shaft. So running a small block on this requires a special input shaft bushing that is longer. A scatter shield is also used. Clutch is a Mcleod performance series, so it is a bit heavy. But not too bad on the leg. Rear end is the original 9 inch big block setup so it is a 3.0 gearing, which doesn't take full advantage of this engine, should have at least 3.70 gears for this setup but I did want to keep it stock and original. It does cruise very nice on the highway with these gears. Rear drum brakes which were just re done at Borelli Motorsports. The brakes have been changed over to manual brakes and the booster was removed, I like the real feel of manual brakes. It requires more pressure and more leg power but for me not having the booster and having a better feel of the brakes was a better trade off. You could always switch it back. I do have the other brake pedal setup. Front brakes have brand new rotors, pads with rebuilt Kelsey Hayes calipers. Steering is also manual, power steering was removed from this car a long time back. The suspension was recently rebuilt. Features some nice, upgraded parts from Cobra Automotive, including a massive hollow front sway bar, custom fabricated reinforced center link only made by Cobra Automotive, new steering box, Koni shocks in the front, all new bushings, ball joints, spring perches. You can see the original paint markings on the Big Block Springs. New rear leaf springs are the reverse mid eye 5 leaf high performance springs from Mustangs Plus. The car handles quite nice on the track. Alignment was done by Freeman Automotive in San Jose. Paint is great. It looks very very nice for having been re-painted in 1996, the Dark Moss Green is the original color, in 68 they changed name to Highland Green the Bullitt color. All fenders are original to the car, car was stripped down to metal, had a couple of very small rust bubbles under the back window but that was removed and fixed. Car was shot in it's original color. All glass is original, although the front windshield recently got a small chip in it, coming back from Monterey Auto Week last year a truck kicked up a rock and it hit the window, Ack, so it has a very small crack that could be sealed and left as is or you could replace the glass. Weatherstripping on side roll up windows is also original and does need to be replaced, but that is something I just never got around to as it never bothered me. The car also has the rear louvers in the tail light section, these were sitting in the trunk when I bought the car so I believe to be original dealer items not repros. Floor pans are all original and in fact have the original undercoating red oxide paint which shows the heat drip marks in the paint from the factory. Not something you see too much these days. This is a very clean, original dry California car. Interior was re done about 15 years ago, still shows very nicely. The interior is a different one in this car. It features a green carpet, not black as most green cars had. This is how this car was made, the original carpet was green. In fact the carpet on the rear fold down seat is still the original carpet, that was not replaced when the interior was redone. Unfortunately the original seats are gone, currently the car runs Pro Car Race seats with 4 point harness belts. Rear seats are still the original black seats in very good condition. No rips or tears or stains. I had a rear fiberglass shelby style deck in the back for a long time so the rear seats were stored and subsequently not used at all for a long time. Headliner is in perfect condition. Dash is also flawless with no rips or cracks. Car has the deluxe aluminum bezel cluster, this is original not repro. Also has the deluxe door panels, not in the best shape but are nice. Aluminum on the door panels has a little wear and small scratches. The car has a bolt in roll bar installed, rear side interior panels have the cutouts for the roll bar but was done to look almost factory a very clean mount. Battery is mounted in the trunk, the trunk liner mat I believe is also original. It is stained but since I believe it is original I have never replaced it. The car currently does not have a heater, but the unit will go with the car. This car runs strong. Has a nice throaty, old school race sound. The exhaust has a crossover tube and runs glasspaks. They are older ones and probably should be replaced at this point. This car is a driver not a trailer queen or just for the shows. It loves to get out and gallop at full pace. Yet it is not too crazy so you can still cruise around town on a nice sunday afternoon. Real S CODE cars are rare, 4 spd even rarer, GT's even more so and in this original color, well good luck finding that. As you can see this car does have some restomod bits such as the fiberglass shelby hood, the front shelby style fiberglass race apron, front bumper is fiberglass as well. But...all the original parts come with this car, meaning original turn signal hood, original front valance, chrome front bumper, As mentioned I do not have the original seats. But have the original wood GT steering wheel, GT fog lamps and bars, original GT dual exhaust tips, original am radio and radio bezel mount, a few boxes of brackets, and various misc. items all go with the car along with the original GT 390 engine. This car has never undergone a complete nut and bolt restoration. The car has been well preserved and well maintained. Therefore it is what I like to think still in a close condition as to when it was first sold. It can easily be put back to it's stock condition if you so choose or can be left as is or modified a bit more. Obviously the 390 engine being put back in would be the final touch. I just preferred to run it with small block engines throughout the years. I have never been in an accident with this car, when I bought it it had a few very small dents which were fixed. It is a very very straight car. The tires are almost brand new, they run on vintage torque thrust 15 inch rims. As you can see the car also has a real signature from Carroll Shelby, real and comes with authenticity certificate. This signed dash piece will ONLY be included with the Buy It Now price. As mentioned I do have all the original parts, if you are interested in buying this car with the original parts and not wanting some of the restomod items we could possibly make a different deal. My mustang restoration guy has his own shop and we could replace any of the items and install on the car for you. So we can discuss all options and configurations. The car is driver, not a sitter. So it has a couple of small little nicks here and there, nothing serious or that noticeable but it does have a few little marks. I am not saying this is a concours restored car, it is a car to be driven and have fun with as I have for the past 28 years or so. These are rare cars and rarely come up for sale, don't hesitate.
