The best way to describe "Albert" is that this 1970 911T is simply one of the most honest early 911's I've seen in some time. The cars history is documented not only with paper documentation and receipts (books, tools, complete service records, COA) it has always been owned by someone here in Spokane AND all of Albert's owners not only know one another, they are best of friends and every one of them a PCA member..... It just starts getting interesting there. I'm the dealer who has Albert on consignment , but, I also know the car. You see in 1971 my father ran the Porsche dealership here in Spokane. I was his lot boy at the time, I was 13. I washed and drove this very car 46 years ago and now get to help sell it, very cool. ...there is more to the story and I'd be happy to share it with you, should you have more interest. Let's just say that there is NOTHING about this car that isn't known or documented; nothing. Albert was delivered new in July of 1970 in Boise, Idaho (the Porsche dealership did not open its doors here in Spokane until 1971) to a Gonzaga University professor. The car was serviced here at Valley Porsche/Audi as service receipts verify until 1982 when the dealer closed its doors. The car was later sold it on to one of Spokane's longest and most loyal Porsche owners. The car was going to be made into a race car but given the cars rare color, a different car was sourced for that mission, thank god ! Albert has been bought and sold between 5 Porschephyiles here in Spokane and has actually been in one of their hands three times ! Every receipt for the car has been kept (see photo) The car received a respray to its correct color in 1983. The paint work was done properly with all glass removed. It still looks great ! Cosmetics; As stated, the car received a proper respray in '83. The paint shines wonderfully. Yes, there are a few touch ups and expected as the car has always been properly used and driven. Chrome is excellent as is the glass. The original chrome wheels are date code correct and in excellent condition as well. The car can and certainly should be proudly driven and shown as is. I wouldn't touch a thing! The interior is in lovely original condition. The drivers seat could use new stuffing but, the seat covers are in very nice condition, again, honest and original. I've been told, by those who really want to pick stuff apart, that the dash pad has been replaced. If so, there is no receipt and the only thing I cannot confirm, yet :) Headliner and carpeting are simply superb. Both door cards are in very nice condition though the door pockets could use a little love, they aren't terrible. Electrics: EVERYTHING on the car functions. All lights, gauges, dash lights, radio (Original radio was sent out and upgraded with modern electonics) wipers, etc. The car is still equipped with two batteries. Mechanicals; The engine was rebuilt at about the 98,000 mile mark. The engine runs strong. No smoke on start cold or warm. No smoke on accel/deccel cold or warm. Throttle response is excellent. The motor is a bit cold blooded which I'll attribute to the wonderful gasoline's that we are forced to use. Once up to temp the car runs truly great. The transmission was just recently overhauled and shifts perfectly. The engine does not drip oil. Front and rear mains are damp but, not leaking. Chassis; Albert has NO RUST and never has had any. All pans are original to the car. Rockers and jack mounts are perfect. The car has never been damaged. Doors still ping ! Drive it? Bad idea....... The car drives perfectly. Steering is spot on with no play and the car tracks perfectly. Brake pedal feel and modulation is excellent. Clutch take up is slip and chatter free. I love driving this car, it drives like they are supposed to, not like a car that has been disassembled and rebuilt; this car is rock solid. Folks, ... This isn't a car to flip, it's one to hold on to. 3-4 years from now.... I think it'll double, conservatively. Pretty safe bet I think. I've been around these cars for some time; longer than many :) I am not the walking, talking encyclopedia that some are but.....this is one very, very honest 911 and in this color...... very rare. I promise you this, had I the money, the car simply would not be for sale! Please note: I've been told (yup, by the same walking talking encyclopedia guys) that the photos are too blue....glad you have time for that. 1966 Corvette Stingray Convertible "427 390HP L-36" Vehicle 1966 Corvette Stingray Convertible 427 "C2 Turbo Jet" 390HP L-36 Owner: Mike Contact Brian Location: Eagle, Idaho Email: Click Here Phone: 208-890-0337 Description Let's start with the known 2-owner history, this Corvette Stingray was purchased new by an American Falls, Idaho resident from the then Intermountain Chevrolet in Pocatello Idaho. The owner stored the Corvette when he was drafted into the Army. When he completed his service, he purchased a newer car, and asked his father to list and sell the Corvette thru the Pocatello based Idaho State Journal classifieds. The current owner of 40 plus years purchased this Corvette in June of 1974. At the time the car was "original" Rally Red and as equipped from the factory. In 1978 he repainted the car a 1966 Corvette factory yellow and was professionally returned to its original colors about 15 years ago along with a complete mechanical once over of the "Original Power-Train", all performed by a well known Idaho Corvette professional's. The above/below is a recap of the Corvette's history (to the best of our knowledge): Engine and transmission rebuild about 15 years and 4,000 miles ago. Cylinders were bored out .0030 and new pistons and rings installed. Engine and flywheel were balanced, new cam shaft installed, all bearings replaced. Cylinder heads were reworked to accept the use of unleaded fuel. The engine runs great with no pinging with the use of premium unleaded fuel (15% ethanol fuel also). Push rods, rocker arms, valves, springs and lifters were all replaced. New distributor shaft gear, and tachometer drive gear and cable were replaced. The original points and condenser were replaced with a solid state unit that fits under the distributor and retains the stock appearance without the annoyance of setting points and dwell. In the hot summer months the car always had a tendency to run warm, especially when driving at slow speeds around town, in parades, or at idle. I found this to be a common problem with the early big block engines. I replaced the original water pump with a high capacity unit and the original radiator with an oversized aluminum radiator, and dual electric fans. The car runs cool at the hottest summer temperatures at any speed. The original radiator, shroud and fan are included. New stock factory original side pipes were installed, and panels below rear bumpers were replaced with units without exhaust openings. Work by Corvette and Performance Auto (Steve Dobbins). Rear leaf spring replaced, and front coil springs reset to stock specs. New shocks installed. Front and rear sway bars replaced, and all rubber parts replaced with neoprene. Front and rear aluminum disk brake piston & sleeves replaced with stainless to prevent leaking. Installed after-market knock-off wheels. They are "actually" knock-offs. Dunlop radials. Power brakes and power steering installed by Corvette and Performance Auto (Steve Dobbins), Boise. All parts stock. This has made a tremendous difference in the handling, braking and parking of the car. Body work and paint by Dale Hopkins of Body and Paint Center, Boise Idaho. The Body was media blasted to bare fiberglass to check for cracks or separation of body parts (and to rid the car of all yellow and original red paint). There were no body joint cracks or separations. Body panels were blocked smooth, some minor repair around wheel wells and under front bumpers, and car painted Rally Red. Paint color was matched to the original 1966 shade of red. All rubber in doors windows, hood, deck and top, replaced. Front and rear bumpers re-chromed by Salt Lake Chrome. All body hardware replaced. All glass replaced. Front stainless windshield frame reworked and polished. New black soft top installed. I have the original hard top, but did not have it painted, as it would be stored, and was concerned about damage. The hard top has never been installed by me. The seats have light patina, but are in good shape. I replaced the carpets. Gauges were freshened and are like new. The clock was replaced with an electronic look-alike. Head light door motors were rebuilt, and relays replaced. The car is Radio delete, however years ago I installed a radio and speakers behind the seats. I installed an antenna. When we did body and paint, I neglected to tell Dale Hopkins to fill the hole for the after-market antenna so the antenna still exists to fill the hole. I installed an after-market luggage rack, as there is no storage when the top is down. Three Shows/Three Awards including “First Place Sports Car” and “Outstanding Sports Car” Boise Roadster Show “Best Corvette” Valley Corvettes Corvette-Only Spring Show When I bought this car about 2 1/2 years ago is was a good running and nice appearing car with 70,000 original miles but I wanted to completely restore it. When I purchased it, the car was fairly original but (as you will read below) the original engine and transmission were long gone. The previous owner gave me the ownership history back to the original owner who lived in Florida. I have all the names of those owners, addresses and telephone numbers most of which have surely changed over the past 50 years. The last three owners let it sit for ten years each so most of the 70,000 miles per put on the car during the first twenty years of its life.Then the car was 6 months old it was stolen from the owner in Florida and recovered in Georgia. In the state of Georgia they still have a law that says if a stolen car is recovered in Georgia it gets a new VIN. That's what happened to this and many other Corvettes of this era. I am sure this point will be of concern to a buyer just as it was to me. Since the reVIN, the car has been bought and sold several times without a problem. When I bought the car out of state and had it retitled in Idaho I had to have it inspected just because it came from out of state. There was no problem getting it retitled in Idaho since the paperwork is all in order.I also have a document from the time the VIN was changed that shows the original VIN plus the new VIN. Possibly is some states the original VIN can be reinstated but not in Idaho. It only really matters if you wanted to have this car judged as original and since it is a resto-mod it probably doesn't matter.I wanted to make this car look very special and stand out from all the other C2 Corvettes. 1965 was the last year of old-school Rochester mechanical fuel injection. I like the look of the Rochester FI but not the dependability. I started out with a GM Performance Ram Jet intake manifold and electronic ECU controlled fuel injection system. I sent the intake manifold to Arizona Speed and Marine in Phoenix. They modified it to look like a Rochester dog-house FI set-up. The throttle body was moved from the front to the drivers side as you can see in the photos. I built a custom intake system to look similar to (but flashier than) the original. Finally the ECU was reprogrammed for optimum performance with the ZZ4 Fast Burn motor. I am very happy with the results. It is really fun to see the puzzled look on Corvette enthusiasts faces as they look at the motor and try to figure out what they are looking at.As you will read below, I have made many updates to the car to make it more modern and fun to enjoy without changing the best parts of the original design. When Peter Brock signed the dash he was very complimentary on the car and how it turned out.Finally, I am a detail oriented person so I have included a complete build list of all the parts I have put on this car. No particular reason for selling- the vehicle, it is in excellent condition, everything works, nothing inoperable... it's just time for a change... it is getting very few miles annually and someone needs to own it who will get it out of the garage more often than I. With that said.. the price is on the high side of "blue book" value... I have no desire to rush a sale or give it away. If your are looking for a really excellent low miles 911 that turns heads everywhere this may be the one for you. If you are just looking for a deal... this isn't the one for you. You can ask... I won't be offended... but a low offer will be a "no deal". I'd probably truly prefer to keep it...but a good home at the right price would be fine with me too. Specs: 2000 Porsche 911 Carrera with Aero Kit and Rear Spoiler (factory installed - not an aftermarket kit) 19" factory option wheels with Pirelli Porsche Spec P-Zero Asimmetrico tires on all four wheels (installed approx. 8k miles ago) Exterior is in very good condition - has a few (4-6 by my count) small rock chips on front hood and two small indentations on the passenger side front fender top and two similar indentations on the rear quarter panel drivers side. I tried to take pictures of these for display but could not get any photo angle or lighting that made them visible. These are the types of results of daily living that are hard to see unless the angle or lighting is current. Vehicle has been detailed 2x annually in the 4+ years I have owned it... my detailer has used P21S products on this vehicle. I always garage the vehicle and it is always covered in the garage. It looks really nice... the deep blue color turns heads and gets lots of comments. When people learn it's 14 years old they are very surprised. Interior is also in very good condition... this vehicle has the desire able full leather interior... I think the color is Savanna but some Porsche expert probably knows better than I. The interior overall is in very good condition... notable places of age/wear include some fading/wear (but no cracking) on the drivers side left seat bolster (see image) and on the dashboard where the is some minor shrinking of the leather dash near the defrost vents. Additionally the trim piece (faux wood grain plastic) between the dashboard panel and windshield has cracked and needs to be replaced. The small lid on the middle console storage "cubby" has one broken hinge. The wood steering wheel has some cracking on the wood portions but no separation from the steering wheel foundation. Overall pretty minor wear and tear for a 14+ year old vehicle as reflected by the mileage. I have replaced the navigation/stereo head unit with a more modern Bluetooth enabled system from Pioneer. The original head unit was retained and will be sent with the vehicle. Mechanically the vehicle has been unremarkable... other than a ton of fun to drive... in my ownership I have completed normal maintenance items. At 19,600 miles I had the intermediate shaft bearing retrofit kit that had just become available installed. Receipt proving such is included - when buying this vintage Porsche I am told you need to be sure this retrofit has been completed at the potential risk of a catastrophic (and expensive engine failure). It has been done on this vehicle... at the same time I replaced the clutch... didn't think it needed it but since it was apart it seemed like a reasonable investment. Feast your eyes on this absolutely gorgeous all Henry Ford steel 1934 Ford 5-Window HiBoy, built by California Hot Rod builder, Craig Wallace! Back in 1992, Craig sold the Coupe to Dick Brooks, a legendary Hot Rod builder from Idaho. The Boise Autorama named Dick Brooks a ‘Master Builder’, and many of his cars were featured in well-known national Hot Rod publications. Unfortunately, Mr. Brooks, passed away on Wednesday Nov. 13, 2013, at his home in Idaho, forcing his family to sell his prized collection. His all-time favorite Hot Rod was this all-steel 1934 Ford HiBoy, which was chosen as one of ‘American Rodder’s’ Top 40 cars! Also, Mattel created a die-cast replica 1:24th & 1:64th set of this ’34 Ford Coupe for their ‘Hot Wheels Legends’ series (see photo). One of the 1:24th die-cast replicas in the original box will go with the car! Another fun fact: this Hot Rod held the track record at Firebird Raceway in Boise, ID for several years in the Nostalgia Drag Class. The fastest time was 10.2 seconds @ 127 mph. Keep in mind, this was back when she had a blown motor and not the engine that is currently in the car. This is a very special '34 Ford HiBoy w/ outstanding history! Please look at these photos closely! The stance on this HiBoy is absolutely second to none, and the 3.5” chop is absolutely perfect! The roof is filled and louvered, as is the roll pan and trunk lid. There are actually 760 louvers, which I think looks absolutely incredible! The bodywork is absolutely outstanding and laser straight all around the car. The Taxi Yellow paint (PPG Deltron) really pops and looks incredible on this Coupe! There are (2) hoods that will go with the car, one with cut out for blower/tunnel ram. The custom black leather interior was done by Dale Woods and was meant to be simple and race ready. Features include: custom built adjustable seats covered in rich black leather, original steel color-matched dash, full set of (6) Auto Meter gauges, w/ separate Auto Meter Tachometer, 4-spoke racing wheel, Hurst ratchet shifter w/ Skull knob, 5-point Simpson racing harnesses and full roll cage. The interior is very comfortable and highly functional! Under the 3-piece hood lies a built 350 SBC w/ Holley 600cfm carburetor, Isky solid lifter camshaft, Mallory dual point ignition, custom built ceramic coated headers w/ cut-outs, etc., linked to a TH400 automatic transmission w/ B&M Holeshot converter, which feeds power to a Stock Car Products ‘Quick-Change' rear end w/ 3.73 gears. Several sets of additional gears will go with the car, to change out as desired. She starts, runs and drives beautifully and is very FAST! The early Ford disc brakes up front w/ Buick drum brakes on the rear make stopping easy and the Vega Steering Box makes driving around own effortless. Underneath, the coil-overs w/ shocks, spring & hairpins up front & Magnum axle make handling nice & easy. Please look closely at all of the photos including the undercarriage shots, which show just how nice this all-steel Hot Rod really is. I mentioned the stance earlier but it’s worth mentioning again, as she sits just right and looks perfect from every angle. She sits on American Racing 5-spoke wheels w/ spinners (12x16 on the rear & 4x15 up front) wrapped with massive BF Goodrich LT345/55/R16 on the rear and skinnies up front. In a world full of wannabe glass Rods and cookie cutters, it is so nice to get my hands on a ‘real’ Hot Rod! Feast your eyes on this absolutely gorgeous all Henry Ford steel 1934 Ford 5-Window HiBoy, built by well-known Idaho Hot Rod builder, Dick Brooks! Unfortunately, Mr. Brooks, passed away on Wednesday Nov. 13, 2013, at his home in Idaho. His true passion, way before he could even drive, was always Hot Rods. In 1992, the Boise Autorama named Dick Brooks a ‘Master Builder’, and many of his cars were featured in well-known national Hot Rod publications. One of his all-time favorite builds, was this all-steel 1934 Ford HiBoy, which was chosen as one of ‘American Rodder’s’ Top 40 cars! Also, Mattel created a die-cast replica 1:24th & 1:64th set of this ’34 Ford Coupe for their ‘Hot Wheels Legends’ series (see photo). One of the 1:24th die-cast replicas in the original box will go with the car! Another fun fact: this Hot Rod held the track record at Firebird Raceway in Boise, ID for several years in the Nostalgia Drag Class. The fastest time was 10.2 seconds @ 127 mph. Keep in mind, this was back when she had a blown motor and not the engine that is currently in the car. Please look at these photos closely! The stance on this HiBoy is absolutely second to none, and the 3.5” chop is absolutely perfect! The roof is filled and louvered, as is the roll pan and trunk lid. There are actually 760 louvers, which I think looks absolutely incredible! The bodywork is absolutely outstanding and laser straight all around the car. The Taxi Yellow paint (PPG Deltron) really pops and looks incredible on this Coupe! There are (2) hoods that will go with the car, one with cut out for blower/tunnel ram. The custom black leather interior was done by Dale Woods and was meant to be simple and race ready. Features include: custom built adjustable seats covered in rich black leather, original steel color-matched dash, full set of (6) Auto Meter gauges, w/ separate Auto Meter Tachometer, 4-spoke racing wheel, Hurst ratchet shifter w/ Skull knob, 5-point Simpson racing harnesses and full roll cage. The interior is very comfortable and highly functional! Under the 3-piece hood lies a built 350 SBC w/ Holley 600cfm carburetor, Isky solid lifter camshaft, Mallory dual point ignition, custom built ceramic coated headers w/ cut-outs, etc., linked to a TH400 automatic transmission w/ B&M Holeshot converter, which feeds power to a Stock Car Products ‘Quick-Change' rear end w/ 3.73 gears. Several sets of additional gears will go with the car, to change out as desired. She starts, runs and drives beautifully and is very FAST! The early Ford disc brakes up front w/ Buick drum brakes on the rear make stopping easy and the Vega Steering Box makes driving around own effortless. Underneath, the coil-overs w/ shocks, spring & hairpins up front & Magnum axle make handling nice & easy. Please look closely at all of the photos including the undercarriage shots, which show just how nice this all-steel Hot Rod really is. I mentioned the stance earlier but it’s worth mentioning again, as she sits just right and looks perfect from every angle. She sits on American Racing 5-spoke wheels w/ spinners (12x16 on the rear & 4x15 up front) wrapped with massive BF Goodrich LT345/55/R16 on the rear and skinnies up front. This one-of-a-kind Hot Rod has been featured on the cover of several Street Rodding magazines and has won countless First Place/Best Of Show awards & trophies! It can be driven anywhere at anytime and is very reliable for cruises & long distance Rod runs. It can also kick ass at the Drag Strip if you choose to do so!
