This car has been in storage for the past 22 years and I had recently acquired it from the owner. I brought it home with the intentions of getting it looking and running new again but my wife convinced me I don't have the time for it. The engine looks great, but the carburetor floods the engine with too much fuel. It will start but the carburetors will flood quickly and need to be drained for it to start again. Other than very minor spots of surface rust, the car appears rust free. It has been in a Georgia barn for the past 22 years. Didn't mess with it, but it would take very little time to get it running. Brakes also need attention and need to be bled with new brake fluid at the least. My wife is making me get rid of it ASAP. call me with cash offers and come pick it up today. The windshield is missing but can be found fairly inexpensively. All the tail lights and other lights as well as rear view mirror are in the trunk. They were were removed to have them re-chromed because of pitting and surface rust. There is no rust in the floorboards or trunk or underbody as you can see in the pictures. Very rare car that is extremely hard to find not completely rusted through. As far as I can tell everything is original to the car including engine, transmission etc.. Georgia did not issue titles to cars prior to 1961 and they only issued titles on SOME cars from 1961 to 1985. This one is not titled. 1967 Datsun 1600 Roadster in excellent condition with low, original mileage. This car has been well maintained since new. I am the third owner. The car was originally purchased by a man in California for his mother in 1967 who did not drive the car very much. Later, it was purchased by a collector in California who did some cosmetic restoration such as a repaint and some interior work. A new clutch was installed at 32k miles, and I have had the brakes completely redone per original. It has never been wrecked or damaged. The paint is very nice but not a concours quality paint, but fine as is. It is the original color which I think was popular on these cars at that time. The interior is beautiful and compliments the exterior with the red piping on the seats and red trim throughout. The original radio is intact and working as does everything else on the car. It is a fine running car that is dependable and a pleasure to drive. Please look at the pictures as they are representative of the car and part of the description.

Very rare and special 1967.5 Datsun Roadster. It is the most coveted year of all the roadsters the Japanese made. Car was purchased through dealer in Washington State. The car had not been registered since 1984 and sat in a heated garage with exception to running the car on sunny days. There are 46400 miles on the odometer. Since I've had the car it had been in my mechanics shop for 8 months undergoing much tender loving care. There is absolutely no rust on the car. My mechanic and I have done much work to this car mechanically and interior. I had a custom built Ron Davis radiator installed along with an electric fan, thermostat, radiator cap, all new hoses, alternator 85-115 amp, all new cables to starter,alternator and battery, hood bumpers, pedal pads, shift boot. Parking brake was fixed. New Retro Sound radio, AM/FM, MP3, and USB capable. 2 Speakers in wall behind driver/passenger. New tires and switches. 2 new reflectors in rear and new rubber gaskets in tail lights. Doors were taken apart and realigned so they open and close perfectly. Console was taken out and refinished. All interior hardware is new stainless steel. All gages work including the clock. The car was painted in early 2000's and still has a nice shine. It has a new tonneau cover which I use exclusively. I have the top, original radiator,shroud and fan blades which I had sand blasted and repainted. The engine bay is as clean as a whistle. The car is running perfect and feels very tight. The car has been very reliable and I enjoyed driving it around town and to work a few times. I believe that I am the third owner of this car. I bought the car on eBay and was provided maintenance records that seemed to substantiate the sellers claim that the miles were original. I kept the records and can try to find them if the new buyer is interested, but no guarranties. Everything on the car work including the radio that understandably Crankles. Just had the car gone through by a local repair shop that specializes in classic cars. I did not like the fact that the car dripped "Oil" on the garage floor. I purchased this vehicle in 2001 from another private seller. The car is a hybrid between the 2000 and 1600 models.The VIN is for a 2000, but the body looks like a 1600 (and has 1600 identification on the back and side). I do not know if the engine is a 2000, or a 1600--engine block number listed above. Someone told me it has a 2000 grille. It's been a long time, but my speculation is that the seller had a 2000 and a 1600 and put the best parts together. The car I am selling also comes with an additional engine (as pictured; I don't know the make of the engine or year– the prior seller gave it to me "for parts"); some sort of hardtop; and what appears to be some transmission part. I am not a car buff, but bought the car because it looks terrific and fun to drive. Over the years, I have used it rarely – about four or five times a year. I've always had it garaged, and inspected once a year (last inspection 4/10/15). 5 speed (overdrive). If you are a purist looking for a vintage model that's unadulterated, this is not the car for you. But for me it was fantastic and it turned a lot of heads when I puttered around town, believe me. Other than yearly inspections, I did not do much with the car other than put on Panasport wheels. The prior owner also put in a radio and I think a revved up muffler. I was going to think about getting a convertible roof, but never got around to it. It had a roll bar but I lost it. The odometer is broken, so no realistic sense of mileage. I put in 100k as a placeholder.As mentioned in the summary, the exterior is in pretty good shape with just a couple of dings. However, the interior needs work, and this might be a fun hobby for someone who wants to continue the restoration. My guess is some things like heat, etc. don't work – I never checked--I just made sure the window wipers worked. Vinyl torn, missing driver side visor, left turn signal doesn't snap back, the rubber cover gear shift boot pops out, etc. Anyone buying this should assume there is work to be done if they want to get it up to snuff. I didn't bother because I used it for its exterior look and great ride. A buyer for this car should assume they will find other defects.
