1970 Datsun 2000, motor rebuilt in early '90's, paint is cracking in many places, has some small dings and dents. Chrome is all there most in good shape, interior is ok for being restored 30 years ago, softtop in fair condition. Car runs and drives but needs attention due to sitting for the most part of last 15 years. Very minimal rust on door bottom edges and some wheel well edges. Have a hard top and original luggage rack. Trunk mount air conditioning was working in Texas about 20 years ago but since the compressor froze. Great car to drive while fixing up. Please ask questions.

Second black roadster included on price as donor car (Incomplete. 65% body 50% drive train, maybe less) Right front fender already replaced, original wreck fender still available and more than likely repairable. No visible signs of rust. Original paint. 4 new tires were bought and install before placed in storage, full tread, will inflate to try to roll out. I have titles to both vehicles. I purchased this vehicle in 2001 from another private seller. The car is a hybrid between the 2000 and 1600 models.The VIN is for a 2000, but the body looks like a 1600 (and has 1600 identification on the back and side). I do not know if the engine is a 2000, or a 1600--engine block number listed above. Someone told me it has a 2000 grille. It's been a long time, but my speculation is that the seller had a 2000 and a 1600 and put the best parts together. The car I am selling also comes with an additional engine (as pictured; I don't know the make of the engine or year– the prior seller gave it to me "for parts"); some sort of hardtop; and what appears to be some transmission part. I am not a car buff, but bought the car because it looks terrific and fun to drive. Over the years, I have used it rarely – about four or five times a year. I've always had it garaged, and inspected once a year (last inspection 4/10/15). 5 speed (overdrive). If you are a purist looking for a vintage model that's unadulterated, this is not the car for you. But for me it was fantastic and it turned a lot of heads when I puttered around town, believe me. Other than yearly inspections, I did not do much with the car other than put on Panasport wheels. The prior owner also put in a radio and I think a revved up muffler. I was going to think about getting a convertible roof, but never got around to it. It had a roll bar but I lost it. The odometer is broken, so no realistic sense of mileage. I put in 100k as a placeholder.As mentioned in the summary, the exterior is in pretty good shape with just a couple of dings. However, the interior needs work, and this might be a fun hobby for someone who wants to continue the restoration. My guess is some things like heat, etc. don't work – I never checked--I just made sure the window wipers worked. Vinyl torn, missing driver side visor, left turn signal doesn't snap back, the rubber cover gear shift boot pops out, etc. Anyone buying this should assume there is work to be done if they want to get it up to snuff. I didn't bother because I used it for its exterior look and great ride. A buyer for this car should assume they will find other defects. The alternator failed and I parked it planing on doing a small overhaul, which I never go to. The body and chassis are in great condition, there is a small amount of rust on hood and trunk under the paint. My mother was previous owner, not sure of how many owners there were previous. I have had it since 2003. It really is in good shape and ready for some one to love 'her'. It needs a small restore, however, its not far off from being a true head turner. DESCRIPTION: You are bidding on a 1970  Datsun 2000 Roadster. This is a numbers matching east coast barn  find that I purchased 2 years ago with full intentions to  completely restore it. I now have too many projects and this one  is a major project but definitely worth saving in my opinion. I  have owned 2 other roadsters and as anyone will know you never  find one with a perfect dash. The interior of this car is truly  a time capsule and was well preserved. When I received it the  top was still on and the interior was musty but preserved. The Good The interior of the car is in  excellent condition, and all original, untouched. The seats are  original, the vinyl is still soft and pliable needs to be  cleaned but there are not any rips or tears to the original  interior. The dash is perfect no cracks, all of the gauges and  knobs still have a like new look all of the lettering is crisp  and clear. The glove box front is perfect. The floor pans are in excellent  condition, only minor surface corrosion, no rot. all of the  components for the convertible top are intact and actually in  very good condition. The front bow where the convertible top  attaches is in perfect condition. We removed the valve cover and  inside it looks excellent. The tension on the timing chain is  tight, very clean. We removed the fuel line from the gas tank to  see if it would crank and it does turn over. The information I have on this car  was it was pulled from a barn in Pennsylvania, where it had sat  since the mid 70's. I have a title from Pennsylvania in 1973.  The seller informed us it was original mileage but other than a  story and the condition of the interior and how clean it was  under the valve cover I have no way to document actual mileage. The Bad RUST! This does have a bunch of  rust, however from what I can see it is mainly on the exterior  panels and some underneath but the frame seems solid. Almost  every single body panels needs some sort of body work to it. the  rear funders are rotted through above the tires. We removed the  passenger fender to get some pictures and show the condition of  the frame. When we tried to remove the spark  plugs one of them broke off in the the block, meaning the  corrosion was so strong it wouldn't break loose and it snapped  in half. This is how it has sat for the last year while I have  been working on other projects and trying to decide which  direction to take with this car. There is a ton of corrosion  from the humidity and sitting inside, so every bolt that we have  taken off has been a chore. Gas has sat in the gas tank for a  very long time and it will need to be drained. cleaned or  replaced. I am sure almost every bushing and suspension piece  will need to be replaced. In summary this is not a project for  the faint of heart or inexperienced (like me) however it can be  a very unique car if properly restored. Thank you for looking and  considering my old project. Beautifully restored, Bright Red, base-coat/clear-coat Fairlady with the legendary Nissan SR20DE double overhead cam engine and five speed manual transmission...engine and transmission are low mileage, apx 35,000. Engine internals are stock, but it breathes through a cold air intake and the exhaust is large diameter and free flowing. This car is absolutely rust-free and has just completed a ground-up restoration. Front suspension is completely rebuilt and tuned for street and track days...rear suspension stock and very solid. All chrome and rubber is new. Five tires are new and mounted on genuine Minilite wheels. New period-appropriate Speedhut instrument package. Volvo front disc brakes with braided steel brake lines. New rear hubs. I have the hard-top and soft-top for this car, but have never run it with either, preferring that it be a sunny day, dry weather, open car only. Roll bar just installed. This is the best looking, strongest pulling, best handling example of a Datsun roadster that I have ever seen. I bought the car last Spring in supposedly restored condition, and what been done was very well done, but it wasn't complete. Over the summer I had the suspension and steering rebuilt, instruments installed brakes upgraded, wiring completed, a remote oil filter installed, competition bushings installed on key suspension parts and a roll bar installed.
