This old Z sat forlornly under a tree, waiting for me. I talked with the old timer and he relinquished possession much to his neighbors glee. Turns out he pulled it into his swanky digs, turned it off and never looked back. Soon the squirrels settled in, hiding acorns about the place. Yes the rodents had a field day here. The body is straight with a small ding by the gas flap. There is rust and I have documented it in the pics. It will need everything massaged back into place after you have cleaned it. The light at the end of the tunnel is faint, do you have what it takes to turn this ship around?

Thanks for looking at this beautiful 1976 Datsun 280Z. I am selling this car for my brother-in-law. He has owned the car since 2008. It has the fuel injected straight 6 with 4 speed manual transmission. Body is in great shape and paint looks very nice. Car was repainted at some point of time, but we don't know when. (You can see some tape line on molding around windows, so car was not taken apart to paint) There are 3 rust spots that I have noted. One in the driver door jamb on rocker. Two on the passenger outer rocker. (See pictures) New fuel pump & fuel lines in 2012 from car sitting so much and not being driven. Tank was also cleaned at this time. Nissan dealer also did a new master cylinder for brakes in 2012.Car also has brand new wheels to look era correct along with brand new tires. Less than 5 miles on them to drive the car home! Bridgestone Potenza tires 205/55R16 all the way around. Rear main seal and oil pan gasket were replaced back in 2008 when the car was purchased, but there is still a small leak coming from somewhere. Interiors is in very nice shape. Only issue I noted was material on sun visors has separated. Car can be inspected in person. Its located in Ocala, FL 34476. Please call me to schedule a time to come look at it. Joe 352-425-zero99eight.

Up for sale is this rust free series 1 Datsun 240z. With a build date of 11/70, this particular car falls under the series 1 grouping of the 1st Datsun 240z's. The series 1's are 200 pounds lighter than the other 240s', have higher compression E31 cylinder heads, and have various other unique factors such as emblems, speedo, and vents on the rear hatch.I bought this particular car from a guy that had got it from the original owner's family in Sacramento California. Before that, the car had spent almost its entire existence in Phoenix Arizona. Because of the dry climates, this car is virtually rust free. There is a small bubble the size of my thumb on the rear wheel well on the passenger side, and some slight surface rust, on the passenger door. Originally orange, the car was repainted blue with silver accents but it's old and faded. I was planning on keeping this car and painting it orange again but I've come across another series 1 that's also in great shape. I'm listing both and keeping whichever one doesn't sell 1st.The interior is in great shape with new carpet, a full dash cap, and a headliner that still looks new. All the gauges work except for the clock (typicall of all z's) and the seats are clean but have a couple of tears. This car does have the matching number L24 with the E31 head but it's not in the car. The head has bent valves and needs a rebuild. Currently the car is running a strong L26 (it has been fully painted and looks great). It burns a small amount of oil but runs great. It also has 2.25 inch exhaust from the y-pipe back with a Magnaflow muffler. Sounds great. The brakes are new (including the master cylinder), the tires are new, the clutch is new, the alternator is new, and I've upgraded the radiator and cooling fan to that of the larger 280z.Things that need attention are listed below. Please give me a call with questions. I'm asking $10,000 OBO. This has widely been thought of as the last year to get 240z's for $10,000 or under before they start taking off. The series ones are already bringing in a premium. I have personally driven this car across multiple states and can vouch for its reliability. Everything from the engine to differential has Royal Purple Full synthetic oil and I'm religious on keeping to regular change intervals.-Fuel filler hose has shrunk and leaks a bit if you overfill the tank. (I have a new one from Nissan, still in the package that I will include)-There is an exhaust leak at the y-pipe. If you drive with the window down you'll smell like exhaust.-The pressure differential switch (proportioning valve) is finnecky and sometimes causes the car to pull when braking hard.

Hello Z's lovers out there; I hate to do what I'm doing right now, but I don't have any other choice. We ran in to some financial issue and want to sell one of my favorite lovely toy. She is 1971 Datsun 240z with 280z engine. Previous owner (92 years old) bought it new from Fresno dealer in 1971 and drove it until late 90' and decided to swapped out original engine with brand new 280z ordered from Japan. During that time he modified body to race car looks (as you see) and repaint areas that he custom build body to original color. This car is 100% original excepts outside paint at the front and spoiler, rims, 280z engine, and 2 seats; 2 original seat look almost new and will go with the car. I have all maintenance records for this car from the first day that she got out dealer til today. There is NO RUST at all and she looks almost like a new car.I'm locating in Round Rock-Texas-78665. Please contact me if you have any questions. This is one of the best 240z in the country. Please come in and see her; she looks better than pictures. If you're out of states, please ensure bring someone to inspect her before buying. There will be $500 deposit through Paypal in 24 hours after you win the bid. The rest of the fund will be pay in pull with in 7 days and I only accept bank check (cashier check). I can help with arrange/schedule for shipping, but you have to pay for that.

This 280z is in very nice condition as you can see from the pics. I've had this car 2 years but have driven it very little due to lack of time. I purchased this car from a dealer in Virginia and they said they had purchased it from someone in North Carolina so it has been a southern car for some if not all of its life. The motor runs nice and smooth. The steering (which is manual) works well as do the brakes. The transmission is a manual 5speed. Even the stock radio works if you raise the manual antenna. The windows/doors/hatch all work as they should. It has air conditioning but it is currently not working however the fan does work. All of the AC components appear to be there. I installed new tires on it shortly after i got it so they are brand new. Car is complete and is missing nothing that i am aware of other than the spare tire and jack. The paint on the car looks nice but it is not a flawless show car. Just a very nice car you can drive and enjoy.

Shell is great for someone with a rusted body looking to transfer as it is very clean. Currently in primer. It will need a nes hood or to have current hood fixed as it has a few rust spots, not unfixable though. Car was setup for v8 swap and has fuel cell installed, coilovers on all 4 corners, shaved engine bay ( battery tray removed). I have the interior for the car I am missing one a pillar trim piece. Dash work was started for removing the side ac vents since roll cage and vintage air was going into the car. This isn't a 2k z so don't ask. If its your first z you won't understand the cost of Zs and why the body is so important as you will almost always pay more to bring the body back to life than the car itself. Rear spoiler is shown in pictures but not included with car. Car has 2 spots left that need to be addressed. I was just going to grind that out and prep with por15 as that is covered by door seal. No need to waste 100 getting that cut and replaced. Underneath the car is nice and clean (dusty as its in storage) Video: Underneath. https://youtu.be/ZlAWtCVXYCo Walk around. https://youtu.be/YKHwfF0BaM4 Feel free to call or text 2817047534 Kevin

Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE Entertaining offers on my classic fastback z car that would be a unique addition to any collection. Not for the faint of heart or those who avoid drawing attention. I've never taken it on the street without someone taking a pic or shooting a thumbs up. Even gotten praise from 'jdm' purists on more than one occasion. ZERO rust anywhere. Laser straight body, back halved, reinforced frame and custom metal work. Stronger front springs and struts to handle the extra weight. Emblems and rear bumper shaved for a super sleek look. Engine is a freshened, built 400 crank horse small block chevy with a rowdy solid roller crower cam, trw 30 over pistons, higher compression gm heads, port matched, pete jackson noisy gear drive (sounds like a blower motor), MSD ignition and a custom quick fuel 750 carb under realistic crower/hilborn injection cover. Carter electric fuel pump. The transmission is a th700r4 built to handle 500 ft lbs, with stage 2 b&m kit. In the rear is a Ford 9 inch detroit locker connected to mark williams 35 spline axles and Micky's 28x18 dot's. Suspension is a 4 link built into custom rear chassis section with adjustable dampening coilovers. 4 wheel disc brakes with corvette style booster, accessible through a flip up panel atop the fender. Rack and pinion steering. Custom seats with 4 point harnesses matched to steering wheel. Painless wiring harness, tidy and organized. Autometer phantom gauges - tach, speed, water temp, amps, oil pressure. All lights, signals and wipers working. Custom 4 core radiator with twin electric fans and a tranny cooler. Stays cool in the sun all day even in traffic! STREET LEGAL -- ALL LIGHTS, BRIGHTS, SIGNALS, ETC WORKING CLICK HERE TO HEAR MOTOR Cool nostalgic pro street look but very streetable and weighs under 2300 pounds! Hooks up, accelerates hard and leaves straight. It’s a bit dirty in the pictures as I haven’t really had the time to enjoy it the past couple months. Never had a chance to take to the strip, only cruise nights and some shows. Could use a roll cage if used primarily for racing. Some paint blems, chips, scrapes and a few cracks from road usage. Small crack on lower left headlight case. Needs a gas gauge (have to use dipstick) and there's no speedo cable hooked up, so I DO NOT KNOW THE EXACT MILAGE..its low as its only been a pleasure vehicle. Also needs a new latch on left side of the rear hatch. Currently, the exhaust goes straight out through the collectors/reducers which might be too loud for the street but there is also a full custom flowmaster exhaust that sounds awesome as well as wheelie bars for an over the top pro street look. Video to show engine sound and ease of starting:YouTube (Note: had just installed new pro billet MSD dist and timing / idle were a bit high) Will consider any REASONABLE offers, as we live in a world of dreamers and lowballers (I've already had two deals fall through). I'd like to get some debt payed off on a new project and could use the extra space. This is a great chance to own a well sorted, affordable hot rod or an excellent platform for a more serious race car build..all the arduous stuff is DONE. Current reg/collector plates and clean open CO title in my name. Deposit due within 48 hours and full payment due one week from deposit. Buyer is responsible for any shipping fees. The car is sold AS-IS. I've done my best to accurately and honestly present it, feel free to call or text with any more questions at (303) 807-7379. Thanks for lookin!

Selling \ trading my project to do something bigger. Car has had extensive body work done to it. Fuel cell in place, coil overs on all 4 corners, big brake upgrade for front desk, complete original interior, new bushings everywhere. Car will need a new hood prior to paint. Also comes with front air dam new in box from MSA. Work was started on dash to cover the side vents so that vintage air unit would blow from center only. Vintage air unit not part of the listing. The VQ motor is out of a 2007 NISMO 350z that had 22k miles. I personally drove the car and verified the miles prior to pulling. I pulled the motor as well and the harness is complete, the only wire that was cut goes to the brake controller. Also have the drive by wire gas pedal and the ignition with original key. Transmission is still connected to motor. All accessories are also still on the motor. McKinney motor sports sells the items needed for the swap (Drive shaft, engine mount, trans mount and shifter relocating bracket) for 1800. I kept the wiring harness complete so that I could use the existing NATS on the car. I would prefer a project I will be able to enjoy with both of my kids when wife's not around. Will consider trades 2 doors with 4/5 seats, No 4 door, nothing past 1986 and no rust buckets. Rolling chassis are welcomed if its the right one 55/56/57 no post rollers, nomad, hudson hornet, pontiac safari wagon and so on are welcome. I like classics a lot. I've done a lot of Zs and this was going to be my favorite one of all, but have to be practical at some point. I still have the donor car I pulled the motor from so if there is any other part you think you may need off of the car feel free to let me know. Shipping will require a shipper who will crate the motor and trans for you. Calls are welcomed 281-704-7534 Kevin

1976 Datsun 280z was freshly painted 7-8 years ago by a professional shop. while it was repainted the motor was also rebuilt. the paint has a few blemishes (please see photos) the motor runs good and strong. the gas tank needs to be replaced it will clog so currently the car is not drivable but will start and run to get it on a trailer. just can drive long distances without the tank plugging up. the interior is mostly there just needs to be re installed. does not have front carpet and is missing door catches. the body is mostly rust free except the rear of the chassis rails need refurbishment. Please ask ANY and ALL questions before bidding! I strongly suggest you come look at the car in person or schedule to have someone look at it on your behalf. deposit of 500 required within 24hrs.

For sale is a beautiful 1972 model (Manufactured 09-71) Datsun 240Z. The car was sold new by Robinson Motors, in Gadsden, Alabama on December 22nd, 1971 to its original owner, original Warranty Booklet and Warranty Card is in good condition, and confirms that this is a matching number car, with the original E88 head. The car even comes with both numbered original keys, and both keys match the key numbers listed in the Warranty Booklet. It is believed that this is a true 2 owner car, our research shows that the car was originally titled in Alabama, then re-titled in New York (without change of ownership), and in November 2004 the car was sold to a new owner in Central Florida. Mileage on the odometer reads 95351, it is unknown if this is the actual mileage, we just changed shocks on the car, and the old shocks seems to be the original ones from 1971, so the mileage might be actual, but I cannot guarantee it. The car is in excellent condition, with only small spots of surface rust in spare tire well and under battery. The original floor pans had some very small holes, we grinded the floor pans down to bare metal, and welded in new metal in a couple of places. After repairing the floor pans, the whole area was treated and painted with POR-15 rust inhibitor, and then sprayed with bed-liner. Frame rails are in excellent rust free condition, so is trunk area. I did have to replace the rear quarter front section on both driver and passenger sides (the lower section just in front of the rear wheels); there was a little bit of rust there, when the car was sanded down for paint, we could see that area had previous repair done. The car has the Dealer Installed Air Condition system. Smog pump and other emission related items on the car have been removed. Car has the original tool kit, jack and tire stops. Original wheels are mounted with Uniroyal tires, 185/75-14 in very good shape, the original hub caps are still mounted on the wheels. This car was delivered in Blue Metallic (Paint Code 115) with a white interior. The interior was redone by owner in 2005, and the exterior of the car was just repainted (September 2015) in the original color. There is a crack in the original dash, I have selected not to cover this up, and would rather leave it up to the new owner to decide what to do with this. All weather-stripping was just replaced, together with all four shocks (Replaced with KYB shocks). Please be aware that pictures was taken before new shocks was installed, after the installation of the new shocks the rear end of the car sits higher than pictures shows. The car starts and runs fine; there are no grinding noises while changing gears, motor just received a general tune-up, oil/filter, air filter, and new plugs and wires. Clutch and brakes are in excellent condition, the car steers and brakes in a straight line, and there is no apparent slack in the front or rear suspension and steering components. New battery and battery tray/hold down (original Nissan Parts) was just installed. Original radio works fine.Over 100 pictures are available, please message me, and I will send you the link to the Dropbox folder.INTERNATIONAL BUYERS: PLEASE EMAIL ME FOR SHIPPING INFORMATION, SELLER CAN HELP ARRANGE SHIPPING WORLD WIDE.
