Before we begin, I want you to know that like you, I'm a classic car and truck fanatic. I've also been an eBayer since 1998 and take pride in only receiving positive feedback over the last 16+ years. I've owned dozens of cars over the years and have made many sight unseen deals (many here on eBay) to acquire or sell cars across the country. In addition, I strongly believe in the saying "a picture is worth a thousand words." The Internet has allowed us in our hobby to search for cars nationwide and it's my hope to make you as comfortable as possible with this purchase. I own this truck and I personally took all of the photographs and video. Please sit back with your favorite beverage and enjoy the lengthy description, video links, and 198 photos of this incredibly special, true survivor, 1995 F150. The Truck! I have the honor of sharing an incredibly clean, rust free, survivor 1995 Ford F150 XLT shortbox two wheel drive pickup with you today. I purchased this truck from North Carolina and was in love with this beauty since day 1. As you know, these 1992-1996 F150's are getting incredibly hard to find in original, rust free, unrestored condition. Because of their reliability, these pickups were driven two and three hundred thousand miles over the last 20 years and only a handful seem to be around with low miles. Even fewer were used just for pleasure and weren't really used as pickups. This is one of those examples. On top of its original, unrestored condition, this F150 has the XLT package, it's a highly desirable Short Box, and it features my favorite Ford truck paint scheme of all time. This truck was originally purchased as a Sunday driver and shows just 54,500 miles on it nearly 20 years later. This gorgeous pickup has changed hands a few times over the years in North Carolina and each owner recognized how special the truck is and kept the miles low. The truck has only seen minimal foul weather, as the undercarriage is free of accumulated dirt and debris that we see on our daily drivers. Inside and out, this truck is a time capsule that runs and drives as good as it looks. Exterior Painted in its factory E4 Vermillion Red and White paint scheme, this F150 seems to glow out in the sun. Many people refer to some paint as looking a "mile deep", but this truck honestly fits that description. I will refer you to the detailed photos below, but the truck shows incredibly well. There are NO signs of rust on the rockers, wheel well lips, cap corners, or dog leg areas of the box. The body is straight, the paint is swirl free, and the doors close like they're new. Looking at the trim, the chrome looks bright and shows minimal wear. You can see some chrome pitting on the aftermarket bed rails and the window trim has some light oxidation to it, that doesn't detract from the truck. The stance of the truck looks fantastic too. It's a two wheel drive that has a an aggressive stance and many people think the truck is a four wheel drive. As you're looking at the photos, please remember that the truck is still nearly 20 years old and it isn't perfect. Notice there are a few paint chips, two scratch touchups (rear tailgate and hood ornament area), and a few other light scratches that only show if you're inspecting the truck with your nose a foot away from the paint. Every person who has seen the truck has complimented it immensely, but the truck has been driven a bit over the years, so it isn't absolutely perfect. But with that said, it still looks damn nice. The box has been lightly used over the years and shows VERY nicely. Please notice there are a couple touchups in the box floor that you can see in the photos, but it's pretty clear that this truck saw very little hauling over the years. Interior Inside, the F150 shows incredibly well too. The seat and the carpet actually look better than a 54,000 mile truck to me. The truck was sold to me as a non-smoker, but I did notice two small flaws in the seat and one on the carpet that appear to be burn marks. The truck does NOT smell smoked in and the ash tray/lighter are clean, but maybe one of the previous owners snuck a smoke in his pickup once in a while. Although there, these flaws don't really detract from the overall cleanliness of the interior. The dash is uncracked and all of the climate control vents operate properly. The leather wrapped steering wheel also has just minimal wear and looks very nice. The headliner doesn't sag and the door panels look nice. All power options work, including the windows, locks, and mirrors. The radio works, cruise works, and all gauges operate properly, including the tach. The AC blows cold and note the photo of the interior with the thermometer in the vent with the AC running. Engine and Mechanicals The truck starts, idles, runs very smoothly. Quite frankly, it drives better than any of the other 4 F150s I've owned over the years. The 302 is quiet, the transmission shifts smoothly, and the truck drives straight down the road. I think what has impressed me most with this truck is how quiet it is. The suspension is tight, there aren't things rattling around, and it the truck rides much more like a car than a pickup. Again, none of my other F150s rode like this, so I'm pretty impressed. Please check out the video of the truck being driven for some other insight. Under the hood, note the photos of the factory, date coded wires, hoses, clamps, and emissions equipment. Just the battery appears to have been replaced. The underside of the hood is grease free, as well as the inner fenders, and hood hinges. Undercarriage As a Wisconsin native, I don't see '92-'96 F150s that look like this underneath. I've even owned other southern trucks that don't look this nice. The gas tanks, bottom of the box, and suspension are all incredibly clean, with just minor signs of surface rust on items like the drive shaft and the other uncoated metal pieces. I think what saved thsi undercarriage is not being driven in rain and other foul weather. The moisture hasn't gotten to it like it does with so many others. It looks like the undercarriage had some very light undercoating tastefully applied many years ago to the frame rail areas. It appears this was done professionally, as the undercoating doesn't extend all over, just to those few areas. I'll let the photos and video do the talking with this, but the level of care this truck has received over the years shows underneath as well. Bottom Line If you've been looking for an original, unrestored 1992-1996 regular cab, short box F150 that has been cared for over the years, please consider this one. It's truly a no excuses pickup truck that you can take to shows (AND WIN!), get decent mileage with, and flip on the AC when it's warm out. It's new enough to be comfortable, yet old enough for you to get compliments wherever you go. He has owned this truck for a number of years now, I think around 5. It was purchased from its original owner from Texas which took exceptional care of it and it was not subjected to the harsh winters here in Wisconsin. My dad travels to Florida for the winters so the truck is not driven in the winter and doesn't get beat by the salt and nasty road stuff that really just tears vehicles up here in WI as you already know. There is no rust on this truck. The truck is in great shape. There are minimal chips or scratches in the truck. The truck looks great and drives great. Being the guy he is my dad always has the oil changed and whenever anything comes up he always has it fixed or addressed. This truck is primarily used as his daily driver. 99% of the time its just him inside with nothing in the back. He does occasionally pull a trailer with ATV's on it a few times a year and of course you got your normal runs to home depot or menards type stuff. The interior is just as clean as the exterior. There are no rips or tears in the seats. Its not all beat up inside. Its got your standard am/fm stereo, cruise control, crank windows, vinyl floors and seats. My dad likes the basic interior, he says its a lot easier to keep clean. The previous owner prior to my dad had some stuff mounted to the dash, so there are some screw holes that will remind you, something used to be here. The truck has been well cared for and maintained, oil changed every 3k miles, tires rotated all that stuff. With presently 161,780 miles it is his daily driver so this will change. the truck runs just like it should. The engine fires right up and idles smoothly. The engine has tons of power and pep to get things moving. The transmission is in perfect working order and it shifts though all of its gears just as it should. The tires are all in pretty good shape all around. The spare tire cable underneath is broken, but my dad doesn't even carry it with him. He has the spare tire but says if he gets a flat he isn't going to change it, he has triple A. If he takes the truck on a longer trip he will throw the spare in the bed just in case but locally doesn't even bother. The truck is a 4 door super cab. It has the extended cab or half cab whatever you want to call it with the bench seat in the back that folds up. It has a 6' bed. The bed is lined with the paint on diy kit you buy from the auto store. It actually holds up surprisingly well. Well again overall its an original texas truck, then my dads who goes to florida in winter. So its a salt free rust free truck. It has been maintained with the best of care by its first and second owners. It has no issues whatsoever. It is my dads daily driver, he just drove it up north twice within the last month and would not hesitate to drive it anyplace in the country right now. truck. He has owned this truck for a number of years now, I think around 5. It was purchased from its original owner from Texas which took exceptional care of it and it was not subjected to the harsh winters here in Wisconsin. My dad travels to Florida for the winters so the truck is not driven in the winter and doesn't get beat by the salt and nasty road stuff that really just tears vehicles up here in WI as you already know. There is no rust on this truck. The truck is in great shape. There are minimal chips or scratches in the truck. The truck looks great and drives great. Being the guy he is my dad always has the oil changed and whenever anything comes up he always has it fixed or addressed. This truck is primarily used as his daily driver. 99% of the time its just him inside with nothing in the back. He does occasionally pull a trailer with ATV's on it a few times a year and of course you got your normal runs to home depot or menards type stuff. The interior is just as clean as the exterior. There are no rips or tears in the seats. Its not all beat up inside. Its got your standard am/fm stereo, cruise control, crank windows, vinyl floors and seats. My dad likes the basic interior, he says its a lot easier to keep clean. The previous owner prior to my dad had some stuff mounted to the dash, so there are some screw holes that will remind you, something used to be here. The truck has been well cared for and maintained, oil changed every 3k miles, tires rotated all that stuff. With presently 161,780 miles it is his daily driver so this will change. the truck runs just like it should. The engine fires right up and idles smoothly. The engine has tons of power and pep to get things moving. The transmission is in perfect working order and it shifts though all of its gears just as it should. The tires are all in pretty good shape all around. The spare tire cable underneath is broken, but my dad doesn't even carry it with him. He has the spare tire but says if he gets a flat he isn't going to change it, he has triple A. If he takes the truck on a longer trip he will throw the spare in the bed just in case but locally doesn't even bother. The truck is a 4 door super cab. It has the extended cab or half cab whatever you want to call it with the bench seat in the back that folds up. It has a 6' bed. The bed is lined with the paint on diy kit you buy from the auto store. It actually holds up surprisingly well. Well again overall its an original texas truck, then my dads who goes to florida in winter. So its a salt free rust free truck. It has been maintained with the best of care by its first and second owners. It has no issues whatsoever. It is my dads daily driver, he just drove it up north twice within the last month and would not hesitate to drive it anyplace in the country right now.
