Up for sale is this 1976 Dodge Aspen with less than original 21K miles. The wife of the previous owner got in an accident that required a new right front fender. It scared her enough to quit driving. That was in 1992 when she stored it in her garage. That's where it sat until I acquired it in 2006. Body is straight, no dents, but small spots of rust starting to show in bottom fenders and rear wheel area. Missing side moulding for right door, right fender moulding is in the trunk. Vinyl roof is in great shape. Interior needs new carpeting and window and door rubber. The seats are in great shape, drivers head rest has a crack in it. Cardboard? headliner has a mouse gnawed 1/2" hole otherwise looks great. Door panels and interior panels in fine shape except for two 1/2" tears. heat works,AC works but blows cool instead of cold, needs Freon. It has a 225 cu. in. slant 6 engine that runs, but has a carb issue I think. you have to pump the gas pedal about 10-15 times the 1st time you start it, after that its starts up fine every time for the rest of the day. Sometimes when driving, it stalls out like its out of gas. After sitting a minute or 2, its fine. Been told it might be the reluctor or that the gas tank needs cleaning. It has new parts, alternator, fuel pump, ballast resistor, ignition coil, ignition module, new plugs. Both front and rear bumpers are in excellent condition, shine like new. If youre looking for a 70's car that's an easy, inexpensive restoration project, this is it. Restore to original or clone it to an R/T. Feel free to email me with any questions
