Nowhere on this car does it try to hide its speedy intentions, which means everyone will hide from your 640 hp coupe on the street and the strip. This Mopar is a serious contender from every angle. From its menacingly aggressive leaning forward stance to the exterior mounted fuel gauge, this is intimidation on wheels. There are so many stickers from the performance parts that you can barely see the cool red stripe that stands out against the glossy black paint. This one even has flashy pieces of chrome, but this is more in a functional role on places like the wheelie bar and the extra wide Weld wheels in back. But we can't talk about the exterior without addressing the elephant in the room, or more appropriately on the hood. The huge fresh air hood scoop on top of the lightweight fiberglass hood looks like it could swallow lesser cars whole, and this piece sits above the hood like a big flag warning others not to mess with what's directly below it (more on that in a moment.) The interior is civilized enough for street use, but the hardware is made for the track, which is the essence of pro-street. You get a set of racer bucket seats that include Simpson five-point harnesses. The driver has a custom Auto Meter gauge setup. The big tachometer is essential because the real fun of this toy comes from running through the Cheetah SCS Turbo Action shifter. If you were still doubting how serious this car is about getting on the track, just look at the full overhead toggle switch panel for all major components. You also get a full 12-point roll cage and a Lexon windshield. So yes, this one is ready for NHRA down to 8.50. Ok, we won't leave you in suspense any longer about the monster motor. It's a 410 cubic-inch V8 with some serious power upgrades. This includes Comp Cams solid rollers with a .691 ratio, Holley 1050 CFM carburetor, Edelbrock Super Victor intake, MSD distributor, aluminum radiator, and custom long tube headers. That last component not only makes for more power, but also its near free-flow setup below the car that makes the kind of rumble that others feel in their chests. The full package is rated at 640 horsepower. That much muscle reliably gets to the road via three-speed automatic with separate fluid cooler and custom aluminum driveshaft. As you know with any good drag motor, there's also plenty of torque ready to twist the body like taffy. That's why this Mopar has its frame reinforced with added bracing in front, and support bars built into the coilover rear suspension. The tubbed rear end makes room for the wide racing slicks, and the fuel cell and battery in the trunk help keep weight where you want it. Plus, when it comes time to stop all this power, there are four-wheel disc brakes built with aerospace components to disparate the heat that comes from this wicked Demon. This Dodge Demon Pro Street is so mean, it's just barely enough on the right side of the law enough to get a license plate hung on the back. Are you the one to tame it? 1970 Dodge Challenger Pro Touring This is a one of a kind built Pro Touring 1970 Dodge Challenger designed by Eric Brockmeyer with over $200,000 invested. This car features XV Motorsports Level II Suspension front and back, Level II brakes, a new Indy Cylinder Heads all aluminum 528 cubic inch Street Legend Hemi, functional T/A hood with factory air cleaner and a host of unique features. This was a ground up restoration with a real 1970 Challenger body disassembled and strip at the start of the build. Paint and body work on this car are show quality. The vehicle took three years to build and has 900 miles since the build. Never been shown or presented in magazines. Make no mistake, this isn’t an amateur build with a few bolt-ons, this is a high end custom build with best of the best components and unmatched engineering to deliver ride quality on par with modern performance vehicles. Started with a rust free 1970 original Dodge Challenger, removed all the glass and completely disassembled the complete car. All the undercoating was stripped from the undercarriage. Then all the paint was removed and soda blasted the complete body. Cars by Haines painted the complete car and undercarriage Dodge Hemi Orange Pearl. The bottom of the car looks and shines like the top. The car is powered by a balanced and blueprinted Indy Cylinder Heads all aluminum 528 cubic inch Street Legend Hemi. The engine is topped with a 850 Mighty Demon which puts out 730HP @ 6600 RPM with 660 Torque @ 4800 RPM on 92 octane pump gas. The engine is mated to a hydraulically actuated Keisler TKO 5-Speed transmission which transfers power via an aluminum driveshaft to a built 8-3/4 rear with a limited slip differential, alloy axles and 3.90:1 gear set. Exhaust is handled by a set of, custom built by hand by James Vega, headers with 3” pipe out of stainless steel with electric cutouts. The complete exhaust system, from the headers to the exhaust tips are stainless steel and the cutouts allow you to adjust the exhaust to the sound you want. The engine bay also features a Be Cool aluminum radiator with twin electric fans, March Serpentine system with all billet components including the hood and trunk hinges. This car features top of the line XV Motorsports Level II suspension system. Up front, this includes and aluminum K-Member, billet Aluminum CNC’d upper control arms, forged aluminum spindles and lower control arms, quick ratio variable rate power steering with adjustable bump steer, NASCAR style adjustable splined tubular sway bar with billet aluminum arms and mounts. The rear is XV Motorsports Level II suspension which is a three link design with adjustable panhard bar, billet aluminum trailing arms, adjustable third link and an adjustable splined tubular sway bar with billet arms mounted through the frame rails. Both front and rear shock absorbers are custom calved, single adjustable nitrogen charged monotube coil-overs. The coil-over feature allows for adjustable ride height. These shocks are road race quality, custom valved by application, with matching spring rates that have been professionally tested on the track and street. To allow the suspension to work its fullest, the car has a XV Motorsports Chassis stiffening system installed. The system includes laser cut sub frame connectors contoured to the floor pan, inner fender braces. Brakes are road race quality featuring 14” 6-piston in front and 13” 2-piston in the rear. Rotors are true two piece design with billet hats and slotted discs. The pistons are sized to the application including the matched master cylinder and use of hydro-boost. Since the brakes were professionally engineered for this car the result is a vehicle that brakes hard and flat. System is plumbed with braided stainless hoses, stainless hard lines and high temp fluid. Wheels are custom Boze three piece billet aluminum 18” X 9.5” in front and 18” X 10” in rear with275/35-18 and 295/35-18 BF Goodrich KDW high performance tires For creature comforts this car has a lot to make the ride more enjoyable. The interior is all custom covered in leather, features wool carpet and sound deadener throughout. The complete interior was designed and built from scratch by AJ at Street Seats. It was the final year for these first generation muscle cars, and its model year was even cut short, making it the rarest of the E-bodies. But just in case you weren't already tempted by rarity, you'll be drawn in by all the desirable options and a performance-built 400+ hp V8. This particular car has been owned by the same caring owners the past 20 years; they are MOPAR enthusiasts and have only given this car the best. The Challenger's shape is one of the most popular muscle car profiles in history, but there's something on this one that makes it look exceptionally nice. The factory A57 Rallye Package that gives you the hood scoops, blacked-out grille and bold side strobe stripes. When this one was restored there were also some nice extra aggressive touches added such as matte black paint on the hood, hood pins, and the black rear spoiler. It all looks great on brighter update to the factory KY5 Yellow Blaze paint on an exceptionally straight body. The pristine black vinyl interior is the right choice to complement the exterior motif. The moment you slip into the high-back bucket seat, it feels like 1974 all over again. You've got the desirable center console with the iconic pistol-grip gearshift sitting boldly in the middle. The Rallye Package comes through again with a full set of gauges, including the big tachometer in the center. In fact, the only piece that doesn't feel factory-correct is a set of newer aftermarket gauges, which is clear indication that there is something big going on in the engine bay. Under the hood is a 360 cubic-inch V8 that's been bored to now make a monster 410 ci, but the performance improvements don't stop there. It was rebuilt 3,000 miles ago with solid lifters, cam, and pushrods. Plus, this one includes a 750 CFM Demon carburetor, high rise Edelbrock Air Gap intake, electronic ignition, and MSD distributor. It exhales deeply through ceramic long tube headers on its way to the new 3" stainless exhaust with performance X-pipe construction. So now this is not only make some serious power (400+ hp), but this big dog also has the bark to back it all up. Best of all, that pistol-grip shifter you noticed in the interior is linked to an upgraded four-speed manual transmission so you have full control to keep this monster motor in the powerband. Also, those stylish Magnum wheels are attached to aggressive BF Goodrich rubber, and there are even disc brakes in the front. There were less than 11,400 Challengers built in 1974. That rarity only get better when you go through the binder full of paperwork that includes the original dealer invoice and window sticker, and soon you'll see how special this Mopar really is. It was a well-optioned car when new, and it has kept all of those elements intact. The only upgrades it has are the ones that will make you love driving it the long way home. 1974 Dodge Challenger for Sale 1974 Dodge Challenger for Sale Stock # 0097-TPA Charlotte Showroom 5400 West WT Harris Blvd Charlotte, NC 28269 Local/International: (704) 598-2130 Toll-Free: (866) 542-8392 Hours: Tues - Fri: 9AM - 6PM EST Sat: 9AM - 5PM EST Email: [email protected] Atlanta Showroom 213 Thornton Rd Lithia Springs, GA 30122 Local/International: (678) 279-1609 Toll-Free: (877) 367-1835 Hours: Tues - Fri: 9AM - 6PM EST Sat: 9AM - 5PM EST Email: [email protected] Dallas/Fort Worth Showroom 5400 Sandshell Dr Fort Worth, TX 76137 Local/International: (817) 764-8000 Toll-Free: (855) 877-2707 Hours: Tues - Fri: 9AM - 6PM CST Sat: 9AM - 5PM CST Email: [email protected] Tampa Showroom 4610 Pet Lane Lutz, FL 33559 Local/International: (813) 501-1630 Hours: Tues - Fri: 9AM - 6PM EST Sat: 9AM - 5PM EST Email: [email protected] TERMS OF SALE 1.
