They saw extensive use during the Korean War and stateside. They are still widely recognized as one of the most capable, hardcore, go-anywhere off road vehicles ever produced! This beast looks awesome as she sits and gets a ton of attention looking naturally beautiful. MotoeXotica Classic Cars is pleased to present the 1953 Dodge M37 you see pictured. This truck has been used as a small town search-and-rescue vehicle in and around the Onawa, Iowa area since being decommissioned from military use. It may look a little rough around the edges but it never fails to perform and will go just about anywhere you can imagine! When the H1 Hummers can’t make it and it’s time to call in the big boys – this is what you use! As you can tell – this truck has withstood the test of time. The truck retains its solid original body. Over the years, the olive drab paint has “earned” its natural patina. You can still see many of the original military markings through the patina. Patina is defined as “a film of oxide formed on the surface of a metal, especially the green oxidation of bronze or copper.” The canvas olive drab top is removable, newer and in great shape. This old military truck could almost pass as a neat rat rod! It should be mentioned that the floors and truck bed are solid and show no sign of rust through. The interior is just about as original as it gets. The original seat springs and cushions are intact and have just been reupholstered with olive drab canvas which closely matches the roof. The original dashboard with original gauges is still intact. It should be noted that the horn and righthand windshield wiper are currently inoperable. The split windshield does have cracks in it. Under the hood, the M37 is powered by a 230 cubic inch T-246 6 cylinder engine. This particular engine can get the truck to 55mph with a cruising speed of roughly 45mph – that’s saying a lot for a truck that weighs 5,917lbs! The truck starts right up with a 24V ignition and starting systems. It should be noted that this truck does have a VERY rare auxiliary gasoline heater! Mated to the motor is an NP88950 3-speed manual transmission and NP88845 transfer case with twin lever operations. The axles are full floating with 5.83 gears. The truck sits upon a set of massive 14-17.5 tires. The former owner put a lot of money into refreshing the M37 mechanically within the last year. Services done include: new batteries for the 24 volt system, rebuilding the cylinder head with new valves, rebuilt carburetor, new fuel pump, new gas tank, new “underwater capable” spark plugs/wires, new wheel cylinders and a new master cylinder. This truck runs like a champ. Simply turn the switch, hit the floor start and this beast roars to life. This is a rarely seen military Dodge M37 and its likely that you will never see another one like it! The VIN is 80257344 and the mileage currently shows 16,903, which is believed to be actual. It is being sold on a clean and clear title. GET OUT AND DRIVE!!! We will not be responsible for buyer’s remorse or problems found to said vehicle once they have left our property. We are just being realistic; most of the cars we deal in are vintage and by their very nature will need TLC and some degree of attention sooner or later. These are not new cars and your expectation should not be of a perfect, new car. Once full payment has been received, Seller will email or fax a copy of clear title, Bill of Sale, Buyers Guide and additional DMV forms to the Buyer to sign and return via email or fax. The fully-executed forms must be returned to the Seller prior to the shipment of said vehicle. All you have to do is collect the car at your nearest port and enjoy! Please note that we are not a transport company and only offer this service as a convenience to our customers. You are more than welcome to arrange your own shipping. Transportation will commence only after final payment and signed documentation are received. The vehicle is available for inspection prior to bidding. If you are the high bidder and unable to inspect said vehicle before auction close, you or an agent will have (7) days to inspect said vehicle after the close of auction. I encourage a physical inspection strongly to avoid any misunderstandings or representations. All used vehicles should be assumed to have some degree of wear. No vehicle is perfect to everyone. Each vehicle has its strengths, styles, tendencies and shortcomings. Therefore, despite our best efforts to verify a vehicle’s mechanical condition, we are not able to warranty a manufacturer’s workmanship or previous owner’s diligence in care. It is for this reason that all vehicles are sold ”WHERE/IS, AS/IS”. We have described the above mentioned vehicle to the best of our ability. However, with all classic and exotic vehicles, the condition is subjective. Please be advised that no oral or written statements concerning any vehicle constitutes a representation or warranty of the condition of the said vehicle. INDUSTRY UNIQUE RETURN POLICY: If for any reason you receive your vehicle and have buyer’s remorse, are not happy with the vehicle or just don’t want it for any reason we will purchase the car back from you. We must be notified in writing of your decision to return the vehicle within seven (7) days of your receipt of said vehicle. The vehicle may not have more than 75 additional miles on the odometer from the time it left our possession and be returned in the same condition that it left. You WILL be responsible for a restocking fee that will equal 20% of the purchase price of the vehicle, no exceptions. You will also be responsible for shipping the vehicle back to our shop at your expense. Copyright © 1999-2015 MotoeXotica. All Rights Reserved. A 1958 Dodge M37 retired military truck in running and driving condition. Converted to 12 volts and starts easily. It has a newer stainless steel fuel tank with an electric fuel pump. Four speed manual transmission with four wheel drive. There is a heavy duty PTO driven front mount winch with about 200 feet of cable. It was once owned by the Spotswood fire department and was converted to a brush truck with heavy front bumper, grill guard with reinforced fenders and running boards. The body is a very solid as most fire trucks receive inside storage. The truck has working Headlights, Tail lights, Brake lights, Turn signals, Horn, Wipers and Back up lights. The removable metal hard top roof has some rust as seen in the pictures. It will need a new muffler, Valves should be adjusted, and a general going over. It will make an awesome off road beast as the M37 are proven to be tough as nails. There are many parts suppliers for these trucks. The odometer reads 3362 miles but I am sure that it is not correct. There is a working oil pressure gauge as well as an amp. and temperature gauges. I have a clear NJ. title in my name. I urge buyers to come to Ringoes N.J. to inspect it as everybody's idea of condition varies. Please do not bid if you do not plan to follow thru with the purchase as I have had trouble with buyers changing there minds without seeing the vehicles. It cost money to relist items. Take the roof off and be ready for summer cruising or use it to tow those Jeep people out of the mud. The truck is for sale elsewhere and I reserve the right to remove the listing if sold. I am relisting this on a three day auction because of a disagreement with Ebay. If you ever tried to reach a live person you know it is futile and just relist the item. To everyone who bid on this already I am very sorry,(EBAY) felt the need to do a needless automated security verification, apparently felt the need to kill my add and waste are time, because I guess it is suspicious that I would be selling a car. So again I am sorry..... and GOOD LUCK

Its 99% complete . The engine doesn't turn over but ran when it was parked . It sat in a barn for 15 years. It doesn't have a title. It a really cool piece. It is a great winter project. The whole underside is solid including the bed. The model # is T245With the success of the World War II military Dodges, it was only natural that the Army turned to Dodge for an updated design in the late 1940s when the M-series vehicles were in their infancy. These vehicles incorporated the lessons learned during the war, including the key M-series design elements of 24-volt sealed, waterproof ignition, improved weather protection, organic deep water fording ability and standardized ancillary equipment.A synchronized transmission replaced the World War II-era crash box, and a two-speed transfer case was used, allowing manual engagement of the front axle as well as an additional reduction range. The six-cylinder engine of the WC-series was lengthened and reinforced for the new trucks. Steel doors with roll-up glass windows were a major improvement. The M37 had a slightly lower silhouette than the World War II vehicles, a tactical benefit, and also were narrower, a definite improvement when operating off-road in wooded or rocky areas.Production of pilot models for the new design was begun in the spring of 1950 and, in January 1951, mass-production began. The initial series production ended in January 1955.The M37 tooling was placed in storage until February 1958, when it was dusted off and slightly modified to incorporate minor changes to accommodate a new style transmission and relocated spare tire mounting. The first of these new vehicles, designated M37B1, was completed in April of 1958. Except for 1960, the demands of the military, especially as the war in Vietnam escalated, were such that M37B1s were built every year through 1968.The M37 family was the last series-produced, medium weight, specially-designed tactical truck purchased by the U.S. military until the advent of the HMMWV.- See more at: http://www.militarytrader.com/military-vehicles-news/buyers-guide-m37-dodge-three-quarter-ton-truck#.dpuf
