We purchased it from a local fleet on lease return. It has a clean no salt California / Colorado history with good service documentation on Carfax. The van runs great, drives nice, tires are very good and chair lift works properly. This 2500 is the shorter wheelbase, not the Maxi-Van, much easier to park and navigate. It'll carry 4 people plus 2 chairs easy. The van has a high top ceiling and is easy to get around in. These vans are very durable and this one has a long ways to go yet! 12183ramvan3500wcA exterior condition The body and paint on this van are in good shape overall. It has nice gloss and was just waxed. There's no obvious issues, no body rust, and no hail. It hasn't seen any road salt. The wheels look fine and tires have good remaining tread left with matching spare. The fronts were a little choppy from weak shocks, so we installed new shocks and rotated them to the rear to even out. The spare has been mounted under the van. The glass is good, no cracks, windshield actually looks fairly new. There's a few little nicks and light scratches, nothing obvious though. The rear bumper is new, front bumper has been touched up and looks good. The doors all open and close easily and everything matches. We had the left rear door painted and a small part of the left lower rocker due to a crease. The roof that always fades out on these was also shot. Basically we wanted it to look perfectly fine for business use, despite being a little older. It stands tall, just like the photos. cabin condition The interior is clean and well kept. It doesn't smell like smoke. This is a pretty basic model, but what is there works fine. The air blows cold and it came in that way. The lift also works nicely and did on arrival. The flooring all looks ok, and rear bench is in good shape. The front seats have a few cracks in the vinyl. It has the normal wear you'd expect on the inside of the rear back doors. We went ahead and welded up the crack in the left very back door, shown in the photos. We have a host of tie-down seat belts at the shop here, likely something that will fit this type of track, but I don't believe the van came in with anything. mechanical This van was very well maintained per the original fleet. We've bought and sold several from this outfit and have had good luck. The Carfax shows a ton of maintenance records which is nice. We've had the van through our shop, done the front shocks, changed the oil and filter and tidy'd up a few other little things. It really didn't need much. The van fires up and idles smooth, it doesn't make any odd noises, no wet drippy leaks, no drivability issues, just a good ol' van. This van was loaded up from the factory and then a conversion was performed by Chariot, a well known Dodge conversion company. After that, a lift was added several years later when the owner required it. I sell a lot of handicap vehicles and generally they are stripped down and lack the comforts you would like if you want to take longer trips or use the vehicle for the rest of the family. This van would work great if you also needed to use it as regular family transport. This is also the first one I've seen with wireless controllers for the lift, and that makes a huge difference so you don't need to reach for a remote while in a chair. It really is an amazing van especially given its age. The seating is all clean, the carpets are free of stains or odors, and the paint is in great shape (rare on the high top vans). One-touch, triple-flash turn signals and wide-angle mirrors are standard. Sprinters have an independent front suspension, rear leaf springs and power rack-and-pinion steering. Two people sit up front. Sprinters have a flat cargo floor and tapered rear wheel housings. Cargo volume is 127 cubic feet. Air conditioning is standard. Other features include a tilting and height-adjustable steering wheel, a CD player and power windows and locks.
