Original car with the exception of hydraulic brakes. This is older restoration of a very solid older original car. Factory original working radio. New tires and tubes, battery, gas gauge , wiring as needed with reproduction wiring harness last year. Since it is older restoration top and chrome grill reflect their age but as you can see from the pictures this car is in good condition. Good engine, fun car to drive. This is a low production model and the last year with side curtains. Pictures will be added tomorrow.

First off, to clear the confusion of the year model, this is a 1937 model. The only difference in the three years are the grills and hoods. I didn’t really like the 37 grill, but a 35 will not fit the 37 hood, so I found a nice 35 grill, cut the 2 grills and mig welded the back half of my 37 grill to the front half of the 35 grill. The truck is all genuine Henry Ford Steel except for the reproduction tail gate. I installed a 1969 Camaro subframe with Hotchkis 2” lowering springs. A 69 Camaro 10 bolt rear end on S10 leaf springs with 3” lowering blocks. The frame was blasted, smoothed up and painted with black base/clearcoat along with all suspension components and then assembled. It has power steering and power front disc brakes. A local machine shop built the .030 over 350 with a mild Lunati Voodoo cam. Topped off with a fully polished aluminum intake, Holley 650 w/ vacuum secondarys, new GM HEI with Accel super coil and module. Hooker shorty headers w/Xlerator turbo mufflers. A turbo 350 was rebuilt and a custom driveshaft was built by a local driveshaft shop. It rolls on 15X7 Truspokes with real knock off spinners. Cooper 215/60R15’s on the front and 295/50R15’s on the back. The tail lights are stainless reproductions with glass lenses and blue dots. New stainless front and rear bumpers. New RCI 17 gallon aluminum fuel tank with filler in the bed. The headlights are NOS Lucas units. The cowl lights are original ones I pulled off a 32 Coupe about 30 years ago. The door handles are off a 29 Cabriolet. The original radiator was modified into a new 4 core by a local radiator shop. Polished billet aluminum flame embossed oval air cleaner and valve covers. Polished alternator, Sanden 508 and pulleys. Dual electric cooling fans. New clear glass was installed in the windshield which still retains the original crank out. New grey smoked door and back glass was installed with power windows. I used a 1969 Camaro tilt column, topped off with a Grant Banjo steering wheel. New Stuart Warner winged gauges. EZ black labeled wiring harness. Autolock 2 speed electric wipers. Southern Air A/C, defroster and heater with in dash vents. A local upholstery shop did a custom interior with a 60/40 seat out of a 1994 Ranger narrowed 2”. There are courtesy lights in the door panels that operate off the door switches. The dome light has the switch on it. The stereo system features a Kenwood receiver with CD player, blutooth, auxilary input and usb input, mounted overhead. It runs through 2 0ld school Rockford Fosgate amps. One pushes a set of Kenwood 5 way 6X9’s mounted below the seats facing your heels. The other pushes a 10” Cerwin Vega between the seats. I removed the original stamped steel bed floor and installed a custom stained and varnished red oak floor. I installed an original old steel trunk for the floor jack, 4 way, towels, etc. All the body panels were blasted, body worked, epoxy sealed and painted with base/clear all separately, then sanded and buffed before assembly. The flames were then laid out, painted base/clear, sanded and buffed then hand outlined with light blue One Shot lettering enamel. When I first did the mock up on this I was sitting, taking a smoke break trying to decide on the paint color. I happened to look up on the wall at a picture I have of Pete Chapouris’ California Kid ( my favorite car of all time) and it hit me, since I live in rural Arkansas and the truck looks more like a 34 Coupe than the 34 trucks do, why not a rural version pickup? And everyone that sees it loves the concept. If the buyer wants, I can wet sand the lettering off and buff it out. I will not do it until it is paid in full and will need a couple of days to do it. The speedo and odometer quit working at about 300 miles, but I have probably driven it about 2000 miles. It lives in the garage and I only take it to local shows, cruise nights, parades, etc. I finally fixed the speedo last weekend. The plastic gear in the side of the tranny was stripped. Put in a new one and that took care of it. Everything works as it should and I would drive it anywhere without worry. A video of it has been loaded on Youtube so you can check it out. Just type in 1937 Ford Arkansas Kid. I have the truck for sale locally, so I reserve the right to stop the auction if it sells. I will require a $1000 non refundable deposit via Paypal within 24 hours of auction end. The balance must be paid within 7 days via cash in hand or Bank wire transfer. If you can’t agree with this, please do not bid. If terms are not met, I will immediately relist it. If you choose the wire transfer option, I can overnight the title to you. It is a clear Arkansas title as a 1937 Ford ½ ton pickup in my name. I can store it locked up inside up to 30 days if you need the time to pick it up or send a transport. I can be available anytime for pickup. Thanks
