1963 Ford Falcon Futura Convertible Red/White200 cu in inline 6 cylinder engine (NOM)Original 4 speed manual transmission No power steering, no power brakesPower top, manual windows30626 miles on odometerWhen I bought this car in October 2011, I was told it was a California car that had been repainted by a restoration shop in Toledo, OH five years earlier. I spoke with the shop to confirm that the car had NO damage and NO rust prior to paint. I have owned hundreds of cars in the past 50 years; this is one of the most rust free cars I have ever seen! Without exaggeration, it is 98% rust free. It appears to have all the original panels, drivetrain (except engine), gas tank, windshield, most trim pieces, seats, convertible top frame, boot cover, dash, console and more. I have original registration papers from 1990-1999 showing this car was registered in Torrance, CA.Somewhere along the way, a 1966 Mustang 200 cu in 6 cylinder motor was installed (casting # 6CDE 6015-B). It is a very strong motor! NO smoke and NO leaks! The previous owner had a new convertible top installed (plastic rear window), it and the frame are very good. New carpet and a dash repaint too. There are two small holes in the dash pad as seen the accompanying photos. They could be repaired.Since purchasing the car I have made the following performance and convenience modifications:Alternator: Installed new (from NAPA) internal regular alternator and conversion kit to replace the original generatorComplete alternator wiring and relay kit from MAD in CaliforniaIgnition: Pertronix Solid State Distributor and coilDual out header from Ford Six Performance Parts Custom dual exhaust installed by Waldrons Exhaust in Centreville, MI with chrome extensionsCarburetor: Weber 32/36 DVG 2 barrel carb and kitSunpro Mini Tachometer %26 Mini triple gaugesRadio: Classic Car Stereos FM radio with MP3 and custom in-dash speakerAmerican Racing Outlaw II 14x7 aluminum wheelsKelly Aquator steel belted red line radials; 205/70R14 on the rear %26 215/70R14 on the front Air shocks on the rear and new Monroe shocks on the frontOE style front seat beltsCustom carpet floor mats; front %26 rearTurn signal switch %26 horn switchNew Radiator in May 2014Spark plugs, fluids %26 filtersFront wheel cylinders %26 hosesGas tank sending unit2 new outside mirrorsPrior to purchasing this car, the previous owner had the following work done on the car in the summer of 2011:Diehard batteryNew clutch2 lower control arms2 upper ball joints2 lower control arm sway bar links %26 bushingsAll of the original parts that I removed have been retained (see photos) and could be re-installed on the car if the owner wanted to return this car to OE configuration.Every car needs something. Bumpers could use a re-chrome (see photos). Appearance of the grille is a little tatty and could use a re-fresh. The seats appear original (or they are just very old) and so is the boot cover. If you wanted a perfect interior, these would need a re-cover as would the door interior arm rests and interior rear side panels. The door panels have already been replaced. However, the slightly worn interior adds a certain cool factor to this 51 year old car. Most people comment about this as well as all the original trim and moldings and like the appearance. I get compliments everywhere I go with the car because it has a California hot rod look, runs great, sounds nice with the dual exhaust and the vintage look interior. The windshield appears to be original; it has a few stone bruises and a couple of scratches, but nothing that takes away from the drivability of the car. The Weber carb does not have a working choke because I only use the car in warm weather; it doesnt need one. It could be hooked up using the existing manual choke cable with the control on the dash. Its possible that this is really a 30K mile car. All of the California paperwork I have on this car from the 1990s does not have mileage information. But the fact that so much of this car is original could be a factor. So why am I selling this great car? Im bored and its time to get back to my GM roots with a Chevelle or a GTO. The car is in Traverse City, MI. Has been stored inside for at least the last eight years (since repaint), and has not been outside in any kind of bad weather. I use it as a nice-day driver and would not hesitate to drive it anywhere!I have a Michigan title for this car.$19,500 is the asking priceAll reasonable offers will be considered. Please dont make a low-ball offer; this is NOT a distress sale!107 photos can be seen here:http://s1265.photobucket.com/user/Crownline202/slideshow/1963%20Ford%20FalconPhone calls only please! Here it is! Enveloped in History and One of the Rarest Cars on the Planet! A Factory 1969 Cadillac Fleetwood Hardtop 9 Passenger Station Wagon with Sunroof and Luggage Rack 472 c.i. 375 h.p. @ 4400 rpm 10.5 to 1 Compression Ratio 525 Torque ft. lbs. @ 3300 rpm THM-400 3 spd. Trans. Rochester Quadra-Jet 4V Carb. 19'2" Over-All Length 130" w.b. 5200 lb. Gross Vehicle Weight, $10,961 MSRP in 1969 With only 14 manufactured in 1969 it's said that only 6 still exist in the world today! Body by Fisher and Conversion by Custom Craft Division of Automobile Specialty, Detroit, Michigan. Other wagons were owned by Supreme Court Judges, Country Singers, Dean Martin and Jeff Dennis to name the few... Jeff Dennis a Real Estate Developer and Founder of the R-Ranches of California purchased this "First and Favorite" of many Cadillacs for his Personal and Business Collection. Besides this 1969 Fleetwood Wagon he also owned a 1972 Fleetwood Wagon and a 1976 Fleetwood Wagon and several Eldorado Convertibles, this 1969 Station Wagon is the only Hardtop and the last cadillac from that collection. These vehicles were all purchased by Mr. Dennis "brand new" for his personal use while on the Ranches and as Courtesy Cars to accommodate his prospective and current customers thus the Low Mileage on this Classic, they pretty much just stayed at home and on the range! In 1969 several Cadillac Fleetwood Wagons served as Indianapolis 500 Courtesy Cars to shuttle the V.I.P's of the Speedway, Racing Team Big Shots, Drivers, Team Members etc. to and from the Track, Hotels and Airports. It's been stated that up to 6 vehicles were in service and although the odds are good that this may one of those vehicles we have not as of yet been able to certify or document that. The reason for bringing this up is that there is a "Commemorative Plaque of Appreciation" mounted on the dash. With an Offical Seal of the Indianopolis Motor Speedway, saying "in Appreciation of Courtesty Service 1969". We have been trying and still are in touch with the Indy 500 museum and searching the internet to get this documented or at least a picture of it in service, Mr. Dennis passed away so as of this writing all we have is the plaque on the dash. : FYI Mario Andretti in his Hawk III / Ford won that race over Dan Gurney with an average speed of 156.867 mph and paid $206.727 in winnings for his Victory... After spending most of it's traveling life in the state of California as a Courtesy Car for the R-Ranches it was taken out of service and stored back in 2001. Resting peacefully at one of the R-Ranches the R-Wild Horse Ranch in Redding, CA. Then around 2010 brought to Smith River, CA. to the home of Bill Dennis recently retired Drift Boat owner, Outfitter, Avid Fisherman and one of Jeff and Shirley Dennis' four children. There it has sat in storage, again peacefully resting in his garage until this July (2014). Bill contacted me to resurrect this last remaining Classic Wagon and get it ready For Sale. Stating he wanted the car to be driven and appreciated rather than just sitting in storage, he wishes he had the time to dedicate to this Rare One Owner Family Vehicle but recently admitted he just does not. Thus this "Once in a Lifetime Chance" your only chance to own and conduct the restoration of this Classic Historical American Road Ruling Timepiece! Why me, well Bill and I grew up together since back in the 50's and Bill knows of my Expertise and Experience with Classic Cadillacs, Performance Hot Rods and Show Cars. Having recently retired myself from Vic Hubbard Performance Auto Supply a World renown Speed and Marine shop and parts supplier since 1949, where I managed the Wholesale Division for the last 20 years. I know Hot Rods and I know Classics! The work on the Fleetwood thus far: Engine and Transmission both completely flushed, filters changed and worn gaskets replaced.
