That's really all we need to say to build excitement for our latest investment grade Ford. Of course, the car HAS benefitted from a professional, rotisserie restoration that was completed in May of 2015. So I guess that bumps the word count to eight with: rotisserie restored Shelby Nationals Concours Heritage Gold GT500KR. Then again, it's also a fully documented piece, which lands us at: fully documented, rotisserie restored Shelby Nationals Concours Heritage Gold GT500KR. But wait, I almost forgot about its gleaming coat of killer Lime Gold pigment. So how about: fully documented, rotisserie restored Shelby Nationals Concours Heritage Gold GT500KR that's decked in correct Lime Gold 2-stage? Yeah, that sounds good. But trust us, if you like the sound of that sentence, you're going to LOVE the car it describes! BODYWORK/TRIM According to Ford expert Kevin Marti, this registry-listed Shelby was produced on May 14th, 1968 and delivered down south to Rivers Ford of Monroe, Louisiana. After four decades of excellent maintenance and accident-free living, the car was purchased by its present owner and enjoyed as a solid driver. As we all know, drivers are fun, and the car racked up quite a few MCA Concours awards in that state, but sometimes it's just better to take things to the next level. So, in 2014, this clean Mustang benefitted from a professional, rotisserie restoration that was completed by Shelby specialist Tim Lea of North Andover, Massachusetts. When the car emerged from the shop in May of 2015, everything was 100% correct all the way down to original, assembly-spec oil and air filters. And today, sporting correct Lime Gold Metallic 2-stage under familiar Shelby side stripes, it rolls as a first-class showpiece that secured a Gold at the 2015 Ford/Shelby Nationals in the Concours Heritage Class, and a Silver at SAAC 40 in Division II Concours judging. Naturally, a build this extensive involved quite a bit of original bolt-ons that, according to this KR's owner, were professionally re-plated as needed. At the front of the car, original fiberglass centers a stainless-trimmed grille behind clear Ford headlights, big Lucas driving lamps, a bright chrome bumper and bullet-style parking lamps. At the top of that grille, a familiar "S H E L B Y" script leads the eye to an original fiberglass hood, which is founded beneath mirror-like stainless and a SuperGlass-massaged greenhouse. At the sides of that greenhouse, a straight profile hangs original scoops, ornate Cobra Jet emblems and original fender extension around traditional door handles, a correct chrome mirror and NOS rocker guards. And at the back of that profile, a smooth silver valence centers correct taillights and a detailed fuel filler between a second chrome bumper, bright reverse lamps, KR-exclusive exhaust tips and an original, "S H E L B Y" branded decklid. ENGINE While the car's professionally rebuilt engine isn't original equipment, it is a highly accurate, date-correct 428. Long regarded as one of the most iconic mills ever created, factory-supplied Cobra Jets utilized a strengthened medium block, heavy-duty rods, a nodular crank, and larger valves and ports to produce an advertised 335 horsepower. At the top of the engine, ram air cowl induction centers a correct, SM8S-equipped air cleaner over a date-correct carburetor and high performance intake. At the sides of that intake, cast iron heads hang crinkle-finish Cobra LeMans valve covers over fully restored exhaust manifolds. The fires are lit by a familiar points distributor, which sequences sparks through fresh Autolite Radio Resistance plug wires. Cooling comes courtesy of a re-cored radiator, which circulates water through pliable Autolite hoses and vintage screw clamps. And charging is provided by squeak-free V-belts, which spin a rebuilt alternator between correct power steering and correct smog equipment. Aesthetically, the marked and decaled engine bay appears very close to original, featuring an even combination of Satin Black and Ford Blue paint. And everything, from the car's factory brake booster and fresh Autolite battery to its tidy Ford washer tank and fresh Autolite voltage regulator, is fully sorted and ready to show. DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION Take a look under this Mustang and you'll find correct, Oxide Red floors that are such a close interpretation of the car's original foundation that they back correct Lime Gold overspray with factory-accurate paint drips. A tough C6 3-speed utilizes a correctly marked Dead Nuts On driveshaft to spin a correct Traction-Lok differential around correct 3.50 gears. At the front of that drivetrain, a rebuilt suspension centers a beefy sway bar and the aforementioned power steering between correct power disc brakes. At the back of that drivetrain, correct C7ZA leaf springs hang correct drum brakes at the edges of a clean stainless fuel tank. At the center of that suspension, fresh exhaust pipes funnel spent gases through an H-shaped crossover, small resonators and a transversely mounted muffler. And power meets the ground through E70-15 Kelsey repros, which wrap correct, KR-exclusive black sidewalls around appropriate Shelby 10-spokes. INTERIOR Naturally, Ol' Shel focused most of his energy on the performance and appearance of America's most revered pony car. And when those attributes were combined with Ford's already excellent interior, it paid big dividends. The first thing you'll notice is a snazzy wood-rimmed and chrome-trimmed steering wheel. Behind that wheel, a great looking dash frames a correct 140 MPH speedometer and 8,000 RPM tachometer beside a correct Philco radio. Opposite that dash, knitted vinyl seats are in spectacular shape, presenting hardly any evidence of use. Between those seats, a full-length console anchors small Stewart Warner accessory gauges in front of a slick Shelby shifter and correct, cobra-branded armrest. Beneath that console, like-new carpet rides tight between Shelby-branded sills. Opposite that carpet, a Shelby-spec roll bar and decaled sun visors perfectly complement a fresh headliner. At the base of that roll bar, which serves as a requisite foundation for Python-restored seatbelts, pliable door panels mix bright stainless trim and spotless chrome handles and clean wood accents. And at the back of the cockpit, a fully restored trunk sandwiches a matching Kelsey spare between a new mat and fresh decklid decal. HISTORICAL INFORMATION 1 of only 1,053 KR fastbacks produced for the 1968 model year, this award-winning Mustang is pretty much everything anyone could ask for when it comes to investment grade muscle. I am Tom Klein. I am now 70 years of age. I’ve been into all kinds of performance cars and motorcycles since the 1960’s (boats and airplanes too). I built my first Hot Rod during 1963 and ’64 while in high school, a 392 Hemi powered 1933 Plymouth 5 Window Coupe. Muscle cars and Corvettes soon followed and later BMW’S & Porsche’s. I’ve built, driven, raced and restored pretty much all of the above and more. This offering is my 1934 Dodge Pickup Street Rod A Hot Rod. Not A Rat Rod! PURE HOT ROD & DOLLAR FOR DOLLAR MORE FUN THAN ANY THREE MEGA-BUCK$ FIBERGLASS PLUSH-RODS ON THE ROAD! A several year evolutionary build done the way we built them back in the ‘50’s & 60’s. This is a real HOT ROD for a Real Hot Rodder! 1934 Dodge Cab. Suicide doors. Body channeled 4 inches over a custom Hot Rod shop built frame. A now unrecognizable 1937 Studebaker pickup bed channeled 4 inches, narrowed & shortened 18 inches with 1960 Chrysler New Yorker fin’s, tail lights and trunk lid expertly grafted on. 1934 Chevy Grille. Genuine original mid '30's Ford Headlights. A center tail light, additional to the Chrysler tail fin tail lights, is a unique two into one customized unit made from 1959 Chevy tail lights. The Rod is wired with an E-Z Wiring Harness & Fuse Box. The flames are rattle can by yours truly and the pin striping by pro pin striper Darin Allen of Killer Designs by Darin, Flatwoods, KY. Darin is a GoodGuys Events Pin Striper. The engine is a fine running internally stock early 1980's 350 four bolt main small block Chevy painted and dressed to 1960’s appearance with an early Edelbrock “Patent Pending” aluminum high performance intake manifold & the original Quadra-jet carb. HEI High Performance Electronic Distributor. Ceramic Coated Headers & Aluminized Cherry Bomb Side Pipes. The transmission is GM’s excellent 4 speed overdrive 700R4 . A Lokar shifter selects the gears. A Ford Mustang radiator keeps it running cool at 180-190 degrees. This Hot Rod runs great on 87 Octane but I generally use 93. The front axles is a real deal original unbent 1930's Henry Ford manufactured axle and trailing arms with original stampings. Front suspension is stock Ford leaf spring with Monroe air shocks (good for adjusting ride height), plus GM power Rack and Pinion Steering and GM front disc brakes! Stock 1999 Chevy S-10 pickup differential with drum brakes and a cab mounted brake bias valve. The rear suspension is chrome coil over shocks, fully adjustable for ride and ride height plus a pan hard bar and radius rods. 15 Inch Chrome Smoothies all around with Firestone 255 70R 15’s front and 215 70R 15’s rear. This Hot Rod was built to drive and set up to run the twisted Blue Ridge Mountain roads of western North Carolina. It frequently gets driven year round. INTERIOR: Is basic with bead rolled, seam sealed & carpeted floor and carpeted door panels only. The rest is bare metal, as it should be to keep it light (2,400 lb wet weight). Black leather bucket seats from ‘99 Chevy S-10 Pickup. Competition lap belts (shoulder belts included but not installed). Blue Metal Flake steering wheel matches custom blue metal flake tuck 'n roll upholstered removable sun roof. Pro-Comp Indi-glo gauges in the dash. Lexan light weight door windows done the old school way with straps and snaps to raise and lower to desired height. Mojave 12,000 BTU heater keeps it comfortable even on the coldest days. It's been on the road when the temp was in the teens many times. Driver’s side electric windshield wiper. This Hot Rod is legally North Carolina titled as a Dodge Street Rod, which was properly done through my regional DMV Inspector. It runs, drives, stops, turns (turn signals) and handles great on the twisted Blue Ridge Mountain roads here in western North Carolina and liesurely cruises down the Interstate at 70 mph. For almost 10 years it has been my project and my pleasure to make it what it is, totally a one of a kind. She squeaks and rattles a bit like a real rod should but it has been utterly reliable and never fails to be a blast to drive. Also draws a crowd anytime she’s parked for more than 2 minutes. No cookie cutter fiberglass or steel replica aftermarket recreation here, this Real 1930's Steel Hot Rod epitomizes the way real Rodders scrounged salvage yards for parts and bare knuckle built and drove 'em way back when I was young and a bit more crazy. I may not be so young anymore but I am still young at heart, and cruisin' this Rod around makes me feel like a kid again. I have owned many Corvettes (still do), Porsche 911’s, and Muscle Cars and love them all, but honestly, I have gotten more raw pleasure out of this Hot Rod than any other. It takes me right back to the 1933 Plymouth Coupe a buddy and I built, drove and drag raced while in high school. This is a one-of-a-kind that couldn't be duplicated if you tried. This Dodge-Studebaker-Ford-Chevy Classic Hot Rod can be yours for a third the price of a same old, same old cookie cutter, and believe me, it's twice the fun! Anyone who has built one like this knows what it takes and what it costs to just find and procure all the original classic parts. Then you have to build! This Rod was lovingly built from scratch from the ground up, including the frame. Countless man hours and a lot of busted knuckles, not to mention $$$ went into her. It wasn’t show car time, money and parts but she can be driven without worry of getting scratched or dirty. Been there and done that show car thing. Hot Rodding should be fun, not stressful! I have put what I consider to be a very reasonable and non-negotiable price on her. She’s worth all of it and more and she won’t go anywhere until she’s worth that much to someone else. As mentioned above I have owned and enjoyed this Hot Rod for almost 10 years. The only reason I have for offering it for sale is because I must be crazy. However, I did just buy a new 2017 Corvette and have run out of garage space, so that might have something to do with it. Be sure you know what you are doing before selecting Buy It Now and committing to your purchase because there is no taking it back. Payment of cleared fund in full is required within 5 business days, preferably via Bank to Bank wire transfer. You must also take delivery within 14 days. Before you buy I will be more than happy to discuss this Hot Rod at length and answer any questions. You are welcome to come see and drive it. I can also provide a serious potential buyer with a link to additional photos. but only after we have discussed the car on the phone. Please call between the hours of 8:30 Am and 6 PM Eastern time. 336-372-7400 is my cell number. It goes with me everywhere so you can always catch me during those hours. Thanks you for your interest. I can assure if you buy this Hot Rod you will assure yourself a very Happy New Year!

And while it eventually spawned some of America's premier stoplight warriors, the brand itself started as Chrysler's entry level marque to rival Ford and Chevrolet in both sales and popularity. That means many of the storied muscle cars enthusiasts know and love began life like this stylish 1964 Sport Fury. This all-American cruiser HAS to be one of the coolest Plymouths on the planet! And if you're a dedicated MoPar collector who's itching for some early American Muscle that'll be the star of every cruise night in town, it's your hot ticket! BODYWORK/TRIM The beneficiary of an 18-month nut-and-bolt restoration, this clean B-Body currently mixes a correct, 383 cubic inch V8 with timeless good looks. Even though the car originally left Newark in PP1 Ruby paint, we can't help but think its current coat of bright White 2-stage is much more stunning. Fit and finish is better than anything that rolled off the factory's now antique assembly lines. And, thanks to 1,262 hours of carefully planned labor, you can rest assured that those stunning aesthetics are built to last! In the early '60s, Plymouth designers, working directly with the brand's sales team, were being instructed to make their cars look as wide as possible. At the front of this sedan, a bold, "PLYMOUTH" branded grille floats quad headlamps above a thick, wraparound bumper. Behind that grille, a Plymouth 'gun sight' hood ornament leads like-new glass that's framed in original stainless trim. Below that glass, original aluminum trim splits the difference between chrome mirrors, chrome door handles and conservative "SPORT FURY" scripts. And at the back of the car, a polished valance founds clear taillights between a flashy deck emblem, original trunk trim and a second wraparound bumper. ENGINE Pop the hood and you'll find a potent, 383 cubic inch V8 that's restored, refinished and ready to roll! The block, which wears a correct 2468130 casting number, is layered in era-correct Turquoise that contrasts nicely against its white backdrop. Under the flat black air cleaner, a correct Carter 4-barrel delivers fuel and oxygen to a cast iron intake. That atomized energy travels to 516 heads that feature hydraulic lifters and hardened valve seats. Spark is sequenced by a MoPar electronic ignition system that was added for the ease of modern convenience. Speed Pro pistons, re-conditioned rods and a Howard cam, which hover between a .010 crankshaft turndown and .040 overbore, perpetuate combustion. And spent gases leave correct exhaust manifolds on their way to dual, 2.5-inch tail pipes. DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION Under the car you'll find rock-solid floors that serve as the perfect backdrop for a fully restored suspension. At the front of that suspension, a powder-coated K-frame hangs fresh Monroe shocks at the edges of old school manual steering. Opposite that rack, re-arched leaf springs ride under a fresh fuel tank that's fitted with a 5/16-inch sending unit. Behind the motor, a correct A833 4-speed treats gear selection with authority. From there, power travels to an 8.75-inch axle that's equipped with clutch-type posi-traction and 3.55 gears. Stops come courtesy of four massive drums. And in front of those drums, 14-inch steelies turn 215/70 Michelin all-season whitewalls around correct spinner hubcaps. INTERIOR This Plymouth originally left the factory with a Red interior that perfectly complemented its Ruby paint. But today, thanks to extensive help from Legendary Interiors, it sports miles of blue vinyl that serve as an excellent contrast to its fresh 2-stage. Swing the doors and you'll be greeted by firm vinyl buckets and a stylish console that's centered on a reliable Hurst shifter. Below that console, color-keyed floor mats protect stain-free carpet. At the front of that carpet, a reconditioned, original dash has been painted to match the new bits. At the sides of that dash, pick-free door panels back impressive stainless trim. And in front of the driver, a restored steering wheel twists a full horn ring around a patriotic Plymouth logo. [email protected] 5527 Lakeview Road, Charlotte, NC, 28269, US 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air Frame Off Built Bel Air Pro Touring EFI LS1 T56 6 Speed Penske 9" Leather A/C Year: 1955 Type of vehicle title: Clear Primary color: Black Mileage: 2518 Transmission type: 6 Speed Manual Engine: LS1 V8 Interior color: Gray Vehicle info If you've been following our email blasts, you know all about the killer '55 Bel Air we just sold for $125K. And you've probably seen the awesome '55 custom we recently shipped for $99K. In fact, you might even remember the striking '55 210 which left late last year for $112K. The market seems to have an insatiable appetite for super nice tri-five pro-tourers. And those Chevys were not only some of the nicest cars to ever roll through our Charlotte showroom, but also some of the fastest cars to ever transition from "featured" to "sold" on our RK Motors website. In keeping with the tradition of offering enthusiasts the best of exactly what they want when they want it, we've found another red hot '55 custom that's sure to be our next quick sale. Sporting a stellar combination of classic style and modern performance this awesome coupe wraps a 375 horsepower LS1 Corvette motor, a rock solid T56 6-speed transmission and a track-ready Penske Racing rear end in a custom leather interior and a clean black exterior. If you're one of the many enthusiasts who missed out on our last '55 pro-tourer, here's your chance for redemption! The timeless look of the tri-five Chevys will never go out of style, and the most successful show cars are those which build on the universal appeal of their original design. The goal is to create a custom that's as nice as possible without altering Chevrolet's basic goodness. And in the case of this awesome '55 coupe, that translated to a two year professional frame-off restoration which features superb bodywork and 100% stock sheetmetal. That sheetmetal was topped with a slick coat of black basecoat/clearcoat paint which adds a sinister twist to the car's traditional 50s class; and as hot rodders tend to do, that paint's finish work was carried well beyond anything the factory could have imagined. At first glance, this old-school bowtie looks like a simple black collector car that's been well-preserved and fitted with a new set of wheels. But upon closer inspection, excellent gaps and panel fit combine with paint that is MUCH more robust than any rain beaten survivor to provide a modern dynamic which original 50s luster simply can't touch. In a victorious attempt to appeal to a younger audience, Chevrolet gave the '55 Bel Air Ferrari-inspired detailing which has become some of the most beloved 'car art' of the past 60 years. Up front, a trademark body-width Bel Air bumper rides below a pristine stainless grille, clear parking lights and modern tri-bar headlights that are lined in traditional chrome trim. At the top of that grille, a factory fresh Chevrolet crest is centered below a new 'jetbird' hood ornament which looks fantastic against the car's shiny black paint. At the back of that hood, smoked glass sits inside of new stainless windshield trim, bright stainless wipers and a trick driver's side mirror. On the sides of the car, factory optioned front fender trim accents sharp fender lines, and straight stainless quarter spears are highlighted by bright white paint and pristine chrome "Bel Air" scripts. Behind that trim, crystal clear LED tail lights hang over small chrome Chevrolet emblems. And at the back of the car, a second body-width bumper hangs between a second pristine Chevrolet crest and great looking stainless exhaust tips. Take a peek under this car's smooth, rolled hood and you'll find a stout 5.7 liter LS1 Corvette V8 which produces a solid 375 horsepower. Straight from GM, this fully-sorted package combines a sturdy aluminum block with lightweight aluminum heads, coil-near-plug ignition and aluminum flat top pistons to create razor sharp throttle response and a torque band that's as wide as Texas. At the front of the engine a modern serpentine system, which is complete with a full set of chrome pulleys and polished brackets, spins a chrome alternator and a chrome AC compressor at the sides of a chrome air cleaner that's equipped with a fresh re-usable filter element. Once air enters that filter, it flows through a factory LS1 throttle body into a factory LS1 intake which is bolted down over completely stock internals. High octane fossils are provided by a GM electronic fuel injection system. Sparks are sequenced through high performance MSD plug wires. Spent gases are whisked away by a slick pair of ceramic coated shorty headers. And cooling comes courtesy of a polished Griffin cross-flow radiator that's complete with corrugated hoses, a polished overflow tank, a chrome bowtie branded cap and a large electric puller fan. Not a detail has been missed under this Bel Air's fully finished hood. Niceties such as a chrome brake booster and master cylinder, polished hood hardware, braided hoses and trick braided dipsticks add just the right amount of flash and detail to make people stop and take notice. And the car's glossy engine compartment combines with the LS1's clean silver casting to provide a natural contrast which oozes performance appeal. The '55 Chevrolet is an extremely solid platform that is still being enjoyed to this day; and one look underneath this Bel Air shows a fully restored, 57 year old chassis that has stood the test of time exceptionally well. During the restoration, the car's straight frame was covered in a slick coat of Charcoal Gray urethane and fitted with new stainless hardware. Above that frame, solid floors have been coated in thick black undercoating for added durability; and in the middle of that frame, a proven Borg Warner T56 6-speed transmission easily handles anything the stout small block V8 throws its way. Behind that transmission, pocketed leaf springs, Caltracs style traction bars and wide mini-tubs frame a new Penske Racing Ford nine inch nodular rear end that's equipped with both a Penske stamp and 3.45 gears. And in front of that transmission, Charcoal Gray double A-arms frame a modern power rack and pinion steering system. The car's handling is enhanced by a five inch drop that eschews a rough ride thanks to four fresh Monroe Sensa Trac shocks. Stops are provided by a power four wheel disc system which utilizes big Wilwood calipers to squeeze equally large rotors. Exhaust is handled by an aluminized true dual system which features two fresh turbo mufflers and two rear mounted stainless tips. Grip comes courtesy of sticky 225/45ZR17 front and 275/35ZR18 rear BF Goodrich G-Force Sport radials which rotate around slick Billet Specialties Fast Lane wheels. And everything from this double nickel's new stainless brake lines to its Rockport stainless fuel tank is fully-sorted and exceptionally well-done. Inside the car, traditional Bel Air style has been augmented by a high level of customization and a close attention to detail. Front and center you'll find custom power front bucket and rear bench seats which wear a striking combination of gray leather, red accents and polished trim. Overhead there's a pliable suede headliner that's propped up by a traditional courtesy lamp and a chrome rearview mirror; and at the floor, upscale gray carpet rides beneath a combination of color-keyed carpet and heavy duty rubber floor mats. In front of the seats, a painted silver dash hangs pristine billet trim, a re-imagined Bel Air clock and speaker combo and satin-faced Classic Instruments gauges above controls for the car's Vintage Air climate system and a custom, leather wrapped vent panel. At the sides of the seats, custom leather door panels look great behind custom leather armrests, bright silver toppers and a full set of Billet Specialties door hardware. And between the seats, a custom, leather wrapped console anchors a remote controlled Pioneer Premier CD player between a custom booted shifter, a padded storage compartment and stylish courtesy lights. In front of the driver, a polished and leather rimmed steering wheel spins around a chrome tilt steering column that's complete with a full set of billet stalks. And behind the cockpit, a custom leather package tray hangs two large Alpine speakers above a hidden Alpine amplifier and a custom upholstered trunk. Included with the sale of this cool tri-five Chevy is a California black plate and component manuals for the car's first rate Pioneer/Alpine sound system. If you add up all the ingredients which make this 1955 Bel Air such a unique car, the final tally is much larger than our asking price. And when you look at the quality of the work and detail of the car's build, it becomes very apparent that someone really spent a lot of time and money making sure everything is right. There are no shortcuts, no marginal parts, and nothing that looks out of place on what is a uniformly high-quality car; and thanks to the modern small block under its hood and modern drivetrain under its floor, this Chevy is as reliable as it is handsome. Good quality and good taste never go out of style and this '55 Bel Air is all the proof you'll ever need! About this auction & rk motors charlotte Please note that all sales are binding and final. If you're a Mopar collector who's itching for some early Mopar American Muscle that'll be the star of every cruise night in town, this '64 Fury is your ticket! Before we get too far, let's first decode the VIN and fender tag: VIN: 34462068623: Plymouth 8 cylinder 4: Sport Fury 4: 1964 6: Built in Newark, DE 206862: Basic production numbers Now let's decode the fender tag: SO: 0619 Planned Production date June 19th 1964 Number: 0227 Production sequence BDY: 342 2-door Sports Fury hardtop sedanTRM: P4R Red Vinyl Interior PNT: PP1 Ruby Paint The beneficiary of a complete 18-month nut and bolt restoration by Mopar creations in Massillon, Ohio, today this 1964 Plymouth Super Fury sits with a date code correct potent 383 under the hood and a timeless look. A total of 1262 hours went into making this the ultimate B-body to polish off the collection of any Mopar collector. Originally leaving the factory in a PP1 code Ruby paint, today it sits in a vibrant shade of white that is absolutely stunning. Plymouth designers were working directly with the sales team and were being instructed to make the car's look as wide as possible in both the front and rear. The quad lamps that you see set within the body wide front grille were chosen to help achieve that look. Above the quad lamps Plymouth lettering sits just below the hood, while below, a wraparound chrome bumper gives the front end an incredible look. In fact all the aluminum and stainless trim was reconditioned and buffed to perfection. On the hood is a Plymouth hood ornament that frames the numbers 383 and sits at the end of the chrome trim that travels the center of the long hood. Down the sides, more chrome trim splits near the end of the front fender by a red white and blue emblem to form two chrome strips that run to the rear of the car. On the back quarter panel and rear of the trunk you'll find chrome 'Sport Fury' lettering, and another red white and blue Plymouth emblem. More chrome trim encompasses the rear tail lights, and a chrome rear bumper sits above the dual exhausts. Pop the hood and you'll find a potent 383cid V8 that cranks out 320hp. The block, which wears a correct 2468130 casting number, features era correct turquoise paint that contrasts nicely against the white back drop. Under the flat black finish air cleaner, a correct Carter four-barrel carburetor delivers atomized fuel to the intake manifold. From there the fuel mixture travels through the intake, to 516 heads that were built by Precision Machine in Canton, Ohio. The block has a .040 oversized bore and a .010 Crankshaft turndown. Speed pro pistons and re-conditioned rods help achieve combustion. The spark is delivered by a Mopar electronic ignition system that was added for the ease of modern conveniences. The original dual point distributor is included in the sale. After combustion, the spent gases travel out the exhaust manifolds into the 2.5" dual exhausts. Look under the car and you'll find an equally clean undercarriage. The floors are rock solid, painted in black and provide the perfect backdrop for the restored suspension. Behind the motor, a correct A833 4-speed manual transmission takes care of gear selection with the same authority it did in 1964. From there the power travels to the 8 3/4-inch rear end that has been equipped with 3.55 clutch type positraction differential. Up front, you'll find a powder coated K-frame that was completely rebuilt with new upper control arms, bushings and ball joints. New Monroe shocks were used in the front and rear and color coded to match OEM colors. Out back, re-arched leaf springs house the 8 3/4 rear-end, and a brand new gas tank with a 5/16" sending unit was also installed. Stopping power comes courtesy of 4-wheel drum brakes, and in front of those brakes you'll find 14" rims that feature period correct spinner hub caps. Those rims have been wrapped in Michelin X radial tires that feature a thin white line on the sidewall that ties into the body color. As you might have noticed, this car originally left the factory with red interior to match its ruby exterior. However thanks to an extensive amount of work from Legendary Interiors, today the vinyl blue interior accents the white exterior very nicely. Swing open the doors and you'll be greeted by blue vinyl front bucket seats that are separated by a middle console. Below the seats, brand new blue carpet shows no signs of wear, while in the center of the floor a correct Hurst 4-speed allows quick gear changes. In front of the driver is the reconditioned original dash that was painted to match the rest of the interior. Just in front of the dash is a restored Sport Fury steering wheel that houses Plymouth lettering and their red, white, and blue logo. Above the driver, a brand new taught headliner finishes off the incredible look of the interior. Included in the sale of this immaculate Sport Fury is a binder full of receipts from its extensive restoration, warranty booklets, and operating instructions. This '64 Plymouth is extremely cool and has been extremely well restored. It could act either as a super cool cruiser or with over 300hp, it easily pushes into the sleeper category.
