Swivel front seats make it easy to get in and out. Lap seat belts. Will need front brakes adjusted as it wants to pull to the right when stopping, I just haven't had the time to look at them. This 1951 Ford coupe is such a vehicle, offering an ultra-clean California body, fresh paint, a rumbling 302, and a gorgeous interior, all at a very attractive price. Look closely and see if you don't think this is a slam-dunk in every possible way. It's true, California cars really are better, and this handsome Ford is more proof. It was repainted two years ago using Ford Performance Red, a single-stage urethane that's as sizzling bright as the California sun. The 2-door coupe and cleaner 1951 nose give it a sporting look and the proportions are exactly right, making this one of the best-looking Fords of the period. Of course, they didn't look this good in the showroom, and a few subtle mods make it look sleek and clean without erasing its character. You'll note the door handles have been shaved, the hood ornament was deleted, and much of the stainless body trim was removed and the holes filled, but it looks so right that most folks might thing that's how it came from the factory. The finish is glossy and smooth, the result of many hours of hand labor, and it fits together extremely well overall. And the chrome that does remain was restored so it glitters against the vivid red paint, creating a car that looks good from any angle. The handsome two-tone gray tweed interior is durable and comfortable with a few nods to tradition. That's the original front seat and the upholstery patterns are pretty close to what the factory might have been doing back in 1951, pleats and all. The instrument panel is pretty much the way Ford built it, a cool sweep of '50s styling with the speedometer front and center and the auxiliary switches and dials to the right. Modern gauges under the dash help monitor the warmed-over 302 and there's a handsome 2-spoke steering wheel that emphasizes the coming Jet Age styling. The original AM radio is still in the dash, joined by an AM/FM/CD stereo head unit underneath, and it's always nice when they don't cut the car to add the creature comforts. There's also a good-sized back seat and a genuinely huge trunk, which also includes a full-sized spare tire. The original flathead is long gone, replaced by a strong-running 302 cubic inch V8 (that's a 5.0 to most of us). With an .030 overbore and about 3000 miles on the build, it runs beautifully. Everything inside is new, the rotating assembly was balanced, and it looks fantastic with those finned valve covers. An Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor and intake manifold provide the air/fuel mix, a Pertronix ignition system lights it up, and a custom dual exhaust system with glasspack-style mufflers means that it sounds like the 1950s, not a late-model Mustang. It's neatly detailed under the hood, simple but effective, with body-colored paint on the block and satin black inner fenders. The C4 3-speed automatic transmission with a mild shift kit feeds a rebuilt 8-inch rear end with 3.08 gears inside, so road trips are this car's specialty. The suspension is largely stock, although they've grafted disc brakes onto the front end for safety along with a fresh set of tube shocks. Handsome 2007 Mustang wheels have an old-school Halibrand look and carry blackwall radials for just the right stance. See what we mean? This car is seriously nice, totally sorted, and still very fresh. Look closely at the photos then dig the price and give us a call today! 1951 Ford Coupe for Sale 1951 Ford Coupe for Sale Stock # 2901-ATL Charlotte Showroom 5400 West WT Harris Blvd Charlotte, NC 28269 Local/International: (704) 598-2130 Toll-Free: (866) 542-8392 Hours: Tues - Fri: 9AM - 6PM EST Sat: 9AM - 5PM EST Email: [email protected] Atlanta Showroom 213 Thornton Rd Lithia Springs, GA 30122 Local/International: (678) 279-1609 Toll-Free: (877) 367-1835 Hours: Tues - Fri: 9AM - 6PM EST Sat: 9AM - 5PM EST Email: [email protected] Dallas/Fort Worth Showroom 5400 Sandshell Dr Fort Worth, TX 76137 Local/International: (817) 764-8000 Toll-Free: (855) 877-2707 Hours: Tues - Fri: 9AM - 6PM CST Sat: 9AM - 5PM CST Email: [email protected] Tampa Showroom 4610 Pet Lane Lutz, FL 33559 Local/International: (813) 501-1630 Hours: Tues - Fri: 9AM - 6PM EST Sat: 9AM - 5PM EST Email: [email protected] TERMS OF SALE Vehicle may be sold by Streetside Classic Cars prior to the end of the auction. A real-deal 1933 Ford Coupe?! This cool classic was the hot rod of its time, and today it's exceptionally rare because it survived the 50s and 60s without being stripped like all its brothers. An all-steel, original-style 1933 Ford coupe body is a true rare gem. The styling is iconic, but most of these were harvested for hot rods decades later. That's why you're going to get a lot of attention at the car shows. The original Ford steel is straight, complete, and beautiful. The paint has been updated over this coupe's long lifetime, but that's hard to tell because it's always been done with period-correct lacquer. Nothing on this coupe looks out of place from the first-year deep "V" pointed grille to the wire-wheel spare mounted above the shiny rear bumper. And of course, you can't miss the whitewall tires. It's even great in the details with pinstriping and the right amount of patina to make you eligible for survivor awards. Open the suicide door, and it still looks like 1933 inside. The cloth was replaced a while ago just enough to erase decades of use, but long enough time has passed so peering eyes will likely assume its all original. Classic motoring means a large grippy steering wheel and a bright, clear speedometer. No one has tried to ruin this time machine with aftermarket parts like air conditioning. Instead, this thoroughly correct interior means raising the front windshield and rolling down the back window to get your ventilation the way they did a few generations ago on your family tree. But if that's still not enough air for some people, you can open up the back and let them get all they want with the leather-trimmed rumble seat. The logos on the grille and hubcaps let you know to expect Ford's famous 221 cubic-inch flathead V8 under the hood. One look at the engine bay, and you'll swear it's a time machine. But take a closer look, and you'll see an investment in keeping this one reliably on the road. The engine was rebuilt around 600 miles ago. Plus, there's a rebuilt Stromberg carburetor, new starter, and new gas tank. The powerplant is mated to a three-speed manual that's geared for good in-town driving. It all proves this '33 coupe is not a trailer queen... this old gal is a true classic driver. It's rare to find a 30s Ford coupe so clean and unmolested. This one is complete right down to the cool dips in the bumpers. You'll even get a file of maintenance records to see how special this coupe really is. I have a perfectly restored/ resto-mod 1950 Ford Coupe that was urchased new in Douglasville GA in 1950This Auto was also the subject of a famous Ann Cookerville Painting where it sat for years in front of an Old Grocery and meat store. The following was pulled from a article. At some time in the 20’s or 30’s a store was built along the highway in Lithia Springs. We know it as D.W. Bennett Grocery and Meats (Bennett’s Store). In September 1944 D.W and his wife Lillian moved to Lithia Springs from Atlanta and bought the store from Thad Kilgore. The Bennetts sold gas, sodas, candy and other provisions including homemade sausage made from the pigs raised by the Bennetts.Locals will remember the black 1950 Ford that sat under the store porch for decades. Some say that after Mr. Bennett’s death the car was left parked where D.W. had left it. If you want to Hear more about the story of the car, Ann has a Studio/ Store called Red Cockerill Gallery and prints of the famous painting are still available. 770-944-3160 The car was finally purchased by Hal Bell of Austell in the 80s and a long restoration began..After countless hours and no expenses spared ( this was going to his personal daily driver) This car was finishes. A fire broke out and burnt his shop and other customer cars beyond repair and he was forced to sell his 50s Coupe (which was at his house) to start a new shop. What you see now is very nice 1950 ford coupe-with upgrades of modern technology.FORD 289 V8 Billet Serpentine belt set upVintage A/CNew Style Mustang II front endPower SteeringPower front and rear disc barkesFrame fully Boxed Sway bars front and rearOffenhanser Intake/ Elderbrock CarbPower ma ster electric radiator and fan Totally rewired with Ron Francis wiringInterior done by Wilson Brothers Upholstery- Rockmart GAFord 8 inch w/ 3.28 gearsMy dad purchased this car about 2 years ago and it has been all around the South.Car currently has Ga registration and Tag- give me a call or shoot me a email/text- 678-468-0029The car is currently located in the Roswell/Sandy springs areamaybe interested in trades- late 60 mustang Fastback or 60-70 MoparsCar is listed locally Greg 678-468-0029

You go to the rat rod , car shows these days and there are more then enough Model A sedans and pick up cabs done in multiple styles , cool . You want something a little different then this might be for you . Guaranty you won't see another like this as it is a custom one of build . A 31 ford cabriolet , a 30 ford model A sedan and a 40 Willys sedan all gave their life up to make this car . Study the pics closely and you might figure out where all these cars are , trust me they are there . The car sits on a 40 ford pick up frame that has been lets say "tweeked " , the front and rear bones have been curved to match the flow of the lines , the 40 rear end has juice brakes all new with an open drive adapter , the front end has new brakes as well as the 40 juice brakes . Speedway spring and mounts were used for the suicide front end . The radiator and grill came of a Hercules tractor . The engine transmission is a 350 chevy with a power glide transmission shifted by the models A park brake handle ....cool :) The interior is finished with early American poverty style seats and foam butt pads , oil pressure gauge and temp Gauge both work , the speedo will once you put a gm type cable to connect it . The car has headlights and tail/brake lights , no directional s no wipers and the windshield is clear lexan . The rear tires are 21" on ford wire wheels with the front being 19" , all the rubber has maybe 100 miles on them as does the car . Never got around to getting a title for it so you will need to buy a title for it yourself , there is no numbers on the car I put numbers on the ad as they require them to place the ad . You are more than welcome to come inspect the car , send me a phone number and time to reach you at and I will call . This needs to be a cash type deal wit ha $500 deposit with in 24 hours of sale unless we agree otherwise . would consider a Harley bagger that is of the fuel injected era . Will discuss all the details of the build to anyone that is serious about the car .
