Up for sale is a show quality, 1959 Ford, Fairlane, Galaxie 500, Skyliner, Retractable, Convertible, Hardtop, with Surf Blue over Colonial White and Select-Aire. Henry Ford II supervised, Gil Spear's design, 1959 Gold Medal for Exceptional Styling award at the World Fair in Brussels. This Skyliner is a former Don Davis Auto Group, no expense spared, frame off, nut and bolt restoration car, making it one of very nicest on the market at any price. On 11-29-14 the car won Best in Show at the MSP car show, Frisco TX with 95 cars in attendance. Here is a link to the photo of the winners http://s1377.photobucket.com/user/dsherod1/library/North%20Texas%20Missions_112914?sort=3&page=2 The car has a very magical presence, as the restoration was completed only a short time ago. Some of the restoration was performed by Jerry's Classic Car Restoration; 1957-59 Ford Retractable specialists in Springdale, Arkansas, their restorations are legendary and very extensive, producing many national award winners. Here is a link to Jerry's web site: http://www.jerrysclassiccars.com Very exceptional Retractable, groomed to a Level 1 condition, able to win top honors at car shows. This Skyliner is all original in appearance, but the actual condition is in much better shape today, than when new. This special car was recently purchased for $72K, at the Mecum Auction, Kissimmee FL 2011(Lot T233) and is in much better shape today than when last sold. In the last few months I have spent over 250 hours of labor and love working on the car and around $12k in new replacement parts and services. Here is a link to the Mecum listing: http://www.mecum.com/lot-detail.cfm?lot_id=FL0111-104287 This was the final year of production for the Skyliner and this one was sold new in late 1959 at Abshier-Bryan Ford, Fayetteville Arkansas. The car spent most of its existence in that Arkansas town and has never had rust, always protected and has all of its original OEM parts. The car has the very rare, numbers matching "Thunderbird V8" 292 with factory A/C. This Skyliner is cosmetically near perfect, always pampered, garaged kept, adult owned, well serviced, non-smoker, no accidents, High-Octane gas always used, about 3,200 miles (Traveling to Car Shows.) since restoration and 68,880 original miles. The old adage, it's so clean you can eat off it, applies to every surface of car including the under carriage. This Galaxie 500 has a new padded dash, factory AM radio, clock and Ford factory Select-Aire, air conditioning that was converted to 134a and blows cold. Everything electrically is in perfect order including the clock. The recent tri-tone, Lebaron Bonnie interior features blue vinyl seats with white patterned border and metallic blue cloth inserts with clear plastic covers. The Jet Age metallic embossed door and side panels look exceptional. The car has new Burtex trunk coverings, luggage tub, headliner, dash cover, door panels, side panels, seats, carpet, fabric, all painted surfaces, rubber, plastic, paper, cardboard, chrome, glass and all look very fresh with little to no ware. The Skyliner Retractable top design is very noteworthy element of the car that was 50 years ahead of its time and originally intended for Lincoln. The Skyliner's retractable top is a totally amazing device, with all its complex orchestra solenoids, motors and sensors that completely automating the entire process from convertible to hardtop, with just a push of switch. The tops operation performs flawless and is a real attention getting, show stopping, crowd pleasing, event that lasts for a little over a minute, all the while you and the car is just standing still. This Skyliner has the most popular and desirable interior and exterior colors for the Skyliner series, this color combonation was only available for 59. The exterior and interior colors on the Skyliner are original to the car, but all have been recently replace. It has, an outstanding ultra-reflective show quality, Surf Blue over Colonial White paint job. The beautiful paint work was executed on very flat surfaces. Only the best quality material, methods and cleanliness were used to achieve this very high quality, multi-layer, single stage, Enamel paint job that has almost no visible flaws. This Galaxie's frame was removed during restoration and the under carriage was restored. A factory type black undercoating has been applied and all is nicely detailed. The entire suspension was rebuilt and rides great on new period correct wide white wall tires with 90+% tread with beautiful Sunray wheel covers. The car came from the factory with independent front suspension with ball joints and coil springs, hypoid semi-floating rear axle with leaf springs, 11 inch four-wheel hydraulic drum brakes, 9 inch rear end, all riding on a 118 inch wheel base and will fit nicely in a standard garage at 18 foot 6 inches in length. The engine compartments finishes are very nice and shiny, everything is period correct, except for the battery and radiator cap that has a built-in temperature gauge. The drive train was rebuilt during restoration and was enhanced to accept modern non-lead fuel. It has all numbers matching, 292 V8 2bbl, 3-speed Cruise-O-Matic transmission, original power steering, duel exhaust system, original generator and A/C compresser. The car runs and drives correctly, no leaks or other issues and is very reliable and is ideal for year round cruising. Everything on the car works and can be reliable driven to anywhere in the USA at a comfortable 70 MPH! The Skyliner is the most desirable and noteworthy car in the history of Ford Motor Company and is an excellent investment that can be enjoyed. If you are looking for the best, this is the one. Compare this one to the others for sale, there is no compairison, it really worth a lot more. I am asking $55,500 or OBO, representing a recent price drop of $20k to allow for this Mint, Level #1 car to compete directly the numerous excellent and good condition, level # 2 and # 3 Ford Retractables in the market in the same price range for a quick sale.

Up for sale is my 1963 1/2 Ford Galaxie 500 Fastback. It has a 390 big block engine and 4 speed toploader transmission. I have owned and garage kept this car for the last 15 years. I really do enjoy driving and working on her, but I must sell due to financial reason(kids, college, divorce, new house). This Galaxie was built in the Dallas,Tx. Ford plant and was originally a Corinthian white fastback with a small block engine, automatic transmission and air conditioning. I'm guessing it spent it's entire life in west Texas because there isn't a bit of rust anywhere and the fine talc dirt I found in the frame rails. When I say NO RUST, I don't mean it has been cut out and repaired. This car is totally rust free in the body and frame. That's pretty good for 62 years old. The car was already painted turquoise with a bright white roof when I purchased it and I can say it is a very nice job. All the door jambs, interior, and inside the hood and trunk match. You would be hard pressed to find any of the original color paint. Only behind/under the back seat, under the carpet and deep inside the trunk can you find any original white paint. The interior is white vinyl with a bench seat. I added seat belts as a bit of a safety feature So here is some of the work I have done over the years, mostly drivetrain related; The engine is an original '63, 390 block bored .030" over and both cylinder banks decked to true things up. The crank was turned and assembled with new Clevite 77 bearings. The pistons are TRW flat tops with moly rings. The connecting rods are later model Cobra Jet items. I choose a mild Comp cam, grind 270-H with their lifters. The heads are FE 406 high performance items, C3AE-6090C, with all new valves, guides, seals, springs and keepers. They were both ground true on all mating surfaces. I topped of the engine with a Edelbrock Performer RPM manifold and a Holley 670 cfm vacuum secondary carburetor. All in all, I have about $3K in the motor for machine work and parts. The motor starts right up(mini starter) every time and runs great all day long. All the cooling issues that FE engines are know for have been worked out. The radiator was cleaned and roded out and I still use the original radiator tank mounted on the intake manifold. It has a FlowKooler water pump that is overdriven 10% of the crank speed. An original fan with new Hayden clutch fan is used. And the biggest improvement has been the addition of an original Ford, steel fan shroud. These were only used on air conditioned cars and it makes all the difference(hard to find and expensive). You can sit in traffic all day long and the engine will not over heat. The car has a set of ceramic coated FPA(Ford Powertrain Application) headers. They ARE the very best headers made for Ford products and fit the early FE exhaust ports correctly. Downstream there is a $1K custom exhaust system consisting of 2 1/2" mandrel bent pipe and 50 series Flow Master mufflers. The 50 series do not drone like the 40 series, so you can cruise all day comfortably. The brakes are still the original single master cylinder with drum brakes at all 4 corners. I rebuilt everything in the system and they work great and do not pull at all. I had planned to upgrade to a new duel master cylinder and front disk brakes, but never got around to it. I have lots of info on the topic and there are plenty of complete kits available to make this swap if you wanted to.There are new 5 leaf springs used for station wagons in the rear. The original 3 leaf springs always had the rear end hanging low and the 5 leaf brings the car up level. The transmission is a 1964 toploader that I built in wide ratio. The earlier Borg Warner T10 units were weak and had problems. This trans, in wide ratio, is so much more enjoyable to drive around town than the close ratio. The engine has a billet steel flywheel with a Zoom clutch. There is a Hurst shifter doing the duties of changing gears.Downstream of the trans is a rebuilt drive shaft with new slip yoke connected to a Ford "big Bearing" 9" rear end. The 3rd member was built using a new Strange S-Series iron case. The case houses an Auburn Gear Pro Series limited slip differential with 3.50 gears. All carrier and axle bearings and seals were replaced during the build. I would call the exterior a 9 out of 10 because the anodized trim is in only good condition, but it's all there. Both bumpers are re-chromed and the grill is refurbished as well as a few trim pieces. The wheels are American Racing 15" and the tires are getting a bit worn and old(I drive it). The interior is an 8 out of 10 with new black carpet. The shifter hump is an original steel item with the trim ring. I would have no hesitation driving this car anywhere, anytime. The motor is very strong and will haul this 4500# car around like you can't believe. Everything works as it should and it has no bad habits. I am less than 50 miles south of Carlisle, Pa. and may be able to deliver the car to the All Ford show June 5-7 if purchased. Or, if you were attending, I'm an easy drive away to take a look at her. I'm sure there are plenty of things I have forgot to mention or you have questions about. So please feel free to call me, Andy at 410 207-6232 with your questions or to schedule a time to see and drive her. I hate to see her go and I'm not going to give her away, but I do need to make a sale to pay some bills. Thanks for looking.

Up for sale is my beautiful 1963 1/2 Galaxie 500. I have owned this car the last 14 years and done much of the mechanical work myself. This car started its life being built in Dallas, Tx. as a white fastback, 6 cylinder, automatic with A/C. The fastback was not available until halfway thru the 1963 model year and was for a sleeker NASCAR body style. You can tell it has spent it's life in a dry climate, probably west Texas, because there is NOT a bit of rust on the body or frame, anywhere, anytime. The normal problem areas, behind the rear seat or the trunk are perfect. When I purchased the car it looked more like a 50's cruiser. It had skirts, Thunderbird wheels and was low in the rear. It had already been painted Turquoise when I purchased it and you would be hard pressed to find any of the old white paint. Under the hood, trunk and the door jams are all painted to match the exterior. Also, it had a 390 V8 and T10 four speed transmission installed. Most of the work I have done over the years brings the car closer to a "correct" condition for a 1963 big block, 4 speed car. Here is an idea of some of the work completed. I do have paperwork and receipts to back up what I'm saying. Engine; I built this 390 Ford FE engine using a 1963 C3SE-A block that was bored .030" and decked. I used TRW forged pistons with moly rings. The crank was turned .010/.010" and I used Clevite 77 bearings. The rods are later C7AE-B models that were rebuilt by an FE specialist. It has a mild Comp #226 cam, lifters, new pushrods and has a Roll Master double roller timing chain set with indexable crank gear. The oil pump is new with a Cobra Jet oil filter adapter for better flow. Oil pressure at cruise is 50# and 20# at idle. The heads are casting # C3AE-6090-C, which are high performance items used on the 406 FE motors. They were milled on all 3 sides and completely rebuilt using all new valves, springs, keepers, guides and rocker arms and shafts. The top end is finished off with an aluminum Edelbrock Performer RPM intake manifold using a Holley 670 cfm vacuum secondary carburetor. The ignition is an electronic Pertronix unit, so no points to fuss with and it starts easy. I changed the generator to a 55 amp. alternator. The engine has FPA ceramic coated headers and they truly are the best Ford headers and fit great. From the headers back is a custom built, $800, 2 1/2" exhaust system with Flow Master 50 mufflers. The combination of the mild cam and dual exhaust system produce a subtle muscle car rumble at idle, but not a bit of drone at cruise speeds.Over the years I have tuned the motor to where it runs great around town or the highway. The motor has never been dyno'ed, but I can tell you it will make this 4500# car get up and run. I mean REALLY run! Cooling; Bored out 390's are known to run hot, so here is what keeps this one running cool ALL the time. It has the original radiator and separate top mounted coolant tank. I used a Flow Kooler water pump with a smaller pulley to turn it faster. There also is an original Ford, steel fan shroud that would come on a cars with air conditioning(very hard to find) and a new clutch fan. All this together lets the motor run at 180 deg. all day long while moving and it doesn't go above 220, even after extended idle time. Suspension; The car still has the original 4wheel drum brakes and single master cylinder. I have overhauled all these items and everything works just fine, but I was planning to upgrade to a dual master cylinder. The front ball joints and lower control arm bushings have been replaced. An OEM Ford handling kit to limit lower control arm front pivot movement has been installed. The rear leaf springs are new 5 leaf design with all new rubber bushings. All 4 shocks have been replaced with high pressure gas units. The car rides on 15" American Racing "Classic" wheels with 225/60/15 B F Goodrich "T/A" radials. Driveline; From the engine back is a billet steel flywheel with a Zoom clutch set up. The bell housing is correct '63 with the bottom cover. The transmission is a late 1963, newly available, Ford Toploader 4 speed built in wide ratio. There is a NOS Hurst Competition Plus shifter installed. The drive shaft was overhauled and a new front yoke installed. All this connects to the famous Ford 9" rear that is from a big block car. The big block rear ends have larger bearings at the outer ends. The center section was built using a new Strange nodular iron case, new 3.50 gears mounted on an Auburn limited slip differential. Interior; The white seats, door panels and package shelf were done in white when I purchased the car. I added the seat belts using the correct mounting points. The carpet was replaced with black for a better look. The headliner was new when I purchased the car and it looks fantastic. The dash gauges and lights work, but I wanted to know a bit more about the condition of the engine. I added a Sun tachometer, a water temp. and oil pressure gauges. Exterior; The front and rear bumpers have been re-chromed. The grill, front trim and head light doors have been re-anodized. Some of the other trim is NOS and some restored. The body is straight as you can see in the photos. As I have said, this is not the original color for this Galaxie. The original color, according to the door plate, is Corinthian White. I don't think you could pick a more boring color. Somewhere along the line it was painted this shade of Turquoise, similar to the 1964 "Robin's Egg Blue". Most people seem to go for the black on black or red. Also popular is red on red or black. Blue on blues is also another favorite. Well, if you are going to have a big block, 4 speed tribute car, might as well have it be a looker. And based on all the comments, waves and thumbs up I get, I think it is. I always get lots of positive comments at car shows, especially from the women! Overall; I think the paint and body are an 8.5 to 9. The interior is an 8 to 8.5. This is a car that looks great going down the road as well as at a car show. It starts right up, runs great, doesn't overheat and has no bad habits. I would drive this car all day long and not have a worry or care about dependability. This vehicle is being SOLD AS-IS, where there is with no warranty, expressed written or implied. Offered for sale by second owner of this matching numbers vehicle. The history of the vehicle known from new. This beautiful example of Ford's 1965 Galaxie (4 Dr Sedan), stored by the original owner's wife for many years and regularly maintained. She had difficulty driving the car in and out of the garage and minor damage was caused to the fenders leading to a quality re-paint, faithful to the original factory color (Ford’s unique light green metallic). All trim removed for painting. The exterior stainless in excellent condition. The bumpers have slight scarring from the mentioned minor incidents. The interior is all original and close to perfect. The frame has a small weld repair typical of these vehicles just rear of the front wheel on the driver’s side. This car might be the best original example of this model existing in the USA. Drives beautifully, all equipment in working order except the windshield washers. On obtaining the car, the carburetor was rebuilt, the shocks, brakes, and tires replaced. Since I have owned the car it has been carefully used and maintained as a classic. The heater core recently leaked and is disconnected waiting replacement. Will answer any question. This car is a sweet car. I Really hate to see it go. There's no other find like this I'm sure. The rear window is glass and that also has recently been changed out with an original ford motor company replacement. Everything on this car works perfect. Even all the dash lights and kick ass AM radio ! Interior has no tears or obvious wear on it. The dash isn't cracked or anything wrong with it. The car has had no modifications anywhere except for a new carb and air cleaner and rims. I have the original air cleaner and original carburetor. The original rims had to be replaced because of the rust under the hub caps that went unnoticed by my mother for 50 years. Tires are new. She was very proud of this car. It was the very first car she purchased new. very carefully taken care of by her thru out the years. I had previously listed the car but the ebay site kicked me off before I could complete my listing and from there the site added what it thot should be. This is a true time capsule, very rare with factory air. It has the original 390 big HP Ford power train with auto transmission. It has factory bucket seats with center console. The paint and interior are stunning and near perfect. This car has been owned and driven by its long-time owner and has been maintained and garaged properly. It may be driven anywhere in style, it sounds as good as it looks. These cars are getting harder and harder to find especially in this condition. You will be the only one on the block with this truly iconic classic. This car is also listed for sale at the Essex Motor Club. Listing may be withdrawn at any time. All cars are described to the best of our ability and are sold as is, and all sales are final. It is the responsibility of the buyer to inspect and pick up. Kindly do not bid unless you intend to complete your obligation as this is a binding contract as intended by eBay. Thank you.

Up for sale today is an excellent Galaxie 500 2 door. This is the most popular year for the Galaxie. This car has been well taken car of by the owner. If you are looking for a hot rod you can drive and NOT fix daily this car is it. The car was repainted in 2009 using the original Arcadian blue. There are a few little scratches and the paint is considered driver quality. There was 13 hundred dollars worth of brake work done and they work perfect. Car has new suspension springs and shocks all the way around with upgraded coil overs in the rear. There are new rubber bushings in the Front sway Bar. It has a solid ford 9" Read End. The rear end in these cars is actually factory Tri-Link so there is no need to upgrade the suspension. They were a definite race contender back in the day. The radiator was pulled and cleaned with all new hoses installed. Newer drive belts are in excellent condition. This car was upgraded to a set of Hooker Headers with dual flowmaster exhaust. The engine is not a little 289 but the 6.4 liter 390 Big Block backed by a MX Hydromatic transmission. If you want to make easy big power this is where its at. At stock they are about 300 Horsepower and if you add a Cam, Intake and Carb you can be up over 400HP easy. This car sounds awesome. The previous owner installed a Cruise control system that is really cool and works awesome on a carbureted car. It has an am radio but I am getting ready to install and aftermarket amp with a wireless Bluetooth unit. You will be able to stream music right from your phone wire free. The best part about this car is that is an AC car. It is probably due for O-Rings as the Freon leaks down after a few years but I will recharge upon purchase which will last you the rest of the summer. I can service all the O-rings depending on the purchase price. This car is scheduled to have the windows tinted in 5% next week. The rims and tires are off a 2007 mustang and they have excellent tread and make this car ride super smooth. I do have the originals with the original hub-caps. This car also has a Holley TBI fuel injection Kit that comes with it at $1000 value. The module and the Oxygen sensor are installed and the rest of the unit is still in the box. You will not find a better running car for the value and you won't be buying a car you need to take home and fix. Sale price is $15,500 or Best offer. Feel free to make and offer but no low ballers so don't bother to offer 10K. Thank You. All deposits can be submitted Through Pay Pal. Final Payments will be done by bank transfer/cash only. Thank You Warranty-There is no warranty and this vehicle will be sold as is. Buyer is responsible for all shipping charges

This 1965 Ford Galaxie 500 is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. 1965 marked the third revamp for the Galaxie line and as with most American cars it was getting bigger and bulkier. The most noticeable change was the stacked dual headlights giving the front end a much newer look. The suspension, the biggest mechanical change, was the all new NASCAR tested 3 link rear. Not only did the ride quality dramatically improve, the handling was top in its class. This 65 Galaxie is believed to have original 352 V8 under the hood. The 4 barrel sitting on top gives this 65 plenty of power, 300/360 to be exact. The custom exhaust sounds great with the dual exhaust now exiting behind the rear-wheel and pointing toward the car that you go blowing past. A set of updated American Racing aluminum MAG wheels finish off the exterior and compliment the body lines nicely. The inside has a pair of black buckets with the center console mounted shifter giving this 65 a very sporty feel. If you\'re looking for an entry level Street Machine that you can add your personal touches to while being able to drive it in the process look no further. Options on this 1965 Ford Galaxie; AM/FM radio with 8 track player, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Leather Interior, and Radial Tires. To view this 1965 Ford Galaxie 500 in greater detail, including a HD video, please visit www.GatewayClassicCars.com at our Louisville KY showroom. For more information please call 812-294-1555. Great Cruising 1967 Ford Galaxie 500 Fastback for sale in our Orlando Showroom. Under the hood of this resto-mod sit a Ford Racing 302 roller short block with Edelbrock Performer heads, B cam, Edelbrock Thunder Series AVS carburetor, and more! Shifting this beauty is a built AOD Automatic Overdrive transmission with 3,500 stall converter, B%26M shifter, and ending out back with a Ford 9 inch rear end with 4.11 gears. The final stop for all that power is a set of Ford Bullit wheels with Falken radial tires. A Power Master front disk brake upgrade with drilled and slotted rotors provide the stopping power for this custom cruiser. The custom upholstered front bucket seats are out of an 80\'s Buick and the driver seat is 4 way power. The original rear seat is also upholstered to match with Galaxie 500 stitching to really set off this custom interior. The carpet and floor mats are new along with an AM/FM/CD player. The door panels and headliner are original and show well. The dash has a nice cover to hide any imperfections in the original dash. Between the bucket seats sits a custom made center console for the floor shifter and modern CD player. All of the chrome and bright work is present and in good shape for showing. The restoration on this vehicle was performed 8 years ago and in the process the entire underside was covered in POR 15 to prevent any rust, as this car is driven! This Galaxie has shown the quality of the build by completing the Power Tour in 2006 after the restoration. Options include AM/FM/CD player, power brakes, power steering, seat belts, cloth interior, aluminum alloy wheels, and radial tires. This was an original %26acirc;??C%26acirc;? code Galaxie, so it was a V8 from the factory. It was also an AC car from the factory. The firewall lines and under dash parts are all present, so adding a condenser and compressor would make this car once again AC equipped. The two tone paint and modern wheels really give this Galaxie for sale a mean, street machine look, and the sound of the dual exhaust only strengthen that feeling! Located in our Orlando Showroom, this 67 Galaxie Fastback for sale can be seen at www.GatewayClassicCars.com, or call 407-771-2000 for additional information. Ad provided by OldCarOnline.com/cond>
