As you may imagine, this car is EXTREMELY accurate to the original and uses NO South African parts or body panels, like many of the other "kit" cars available today. Reportedly, only 16 of these examples have been built - which were awarded the "Best Domestic Automobile" at the 2006 Las Vegas SEMA Show, where they were showcased by Roush. Finished in the iconic Ford Blue with white stripes, the exterior of this car is HOT. The body lines are aggressive and aerodynamic and the paint is in excellent condition. Both doors open effortlessly. As mentioned, the ENTIRE body is made of carbon fiber, making it INCREDIBLY light. The GT40 weights a slender 2,016lbs!
