Vehicle Overview: Stock: 1325 VIN: CA870265 Year: 1965 Exterior Color: Yellow Make: Ford Interior Color: Black Model: GT40 Mileage: 7341 Engine: 5.0L Fuel Injected Transmission: Manual Vehicle Description: All vehicle trades considered, including classics and performance. I can assist with financing and transport as needed. This 1965 Ford GT40 Mk1 replica is one of the most outrageous cars you can experience. The looks are breathtaking, the sound is tremendous, and the ride is extreme. There isn't much comparison out there. This 2-owner car was built by CAV in 2000 and has been driven about 7,500 miles since. It spent the last 12 years in California where it received an SB100 smog exemption. It was repainted in 2015 and looks fantastic! Several other parts were recently replaced or freshened, including the Lexan engine cover. Also note the 15" Halibrand style knock-off wheels, complete with safety wire. The car is powered by a Ford 5.0L motor. Highlights include a full roller valvetrain, aluminum heads, and a new FAST electronic fuel injection setup. The FAST system is very nice, providing real time data and allowing simple tuning. And the eight velocity stacks, throttle linkage, and blue anodized fuel rails sitting under the engine cover is a beautiful sight indeed. There is also a bundle-of-snakes exhaust that sounds like pure evil. The transaxle is a Getrag 5-speed unit. Brakes are discs all around with a power booster, while the manual steering rack is nice and tight. The suspension uses adjustable coilover shocks front and rear so you can easily adjust ride height to your preference. Cooling uses a very effective C&R aluminum radiator with dual electric fans controlled by the FAST module. The interior is classic GT40, starting with the leather seats with aluminum rings. The dashboard has all the expected gauges. You also have access to the FAST display / touch screen which offers many additional items; fuel rail pressure, intake air temperature, air/fuel ratio, and more. The car is also equipped with a heater / air conditioner and backup camera. Note there is a single arm windshield wiper as well (removed for the pictures). This is not a car to be taken lightly. It demands your full attention while driving, as the slightest slip of your right foot could lead to trouble. So if you're after a relaxing drive in the country then keep looking. But if you really want to stir your senses, you've found your car. This sexy sports car was produced to recreate the iconic and original GT40 by Indianapolis 500 winner, Ari Luyendyk's engineers, to an extremely high quality using state of the art materials. This particular GT40 clone was designed by Andrew Broadley, whose father built the original GT40 at Ford between 1966 and 1969. As you may imagine, this car is EXTREMELY accurate to the original and uses NO South African parts or body panels, like many of the other "kit" cars available today. Reportedly, only 16 of these examples have been built - which were awarded the "Best Domestic Automobile" at the 2006 Las Vegas SEMA Show, where they were showcased by Roush. Finished in the iconic Ford Blue with white stripes, the exterior of this car is HOT. The body lines are aggressive and aerodynamic and the paint is in excellent condition. Both doors open effortlessly. As mentioned, the ENTIRE body is made of carbon fiber, making it INCREDIBLY light. The GT40 weights a slender 2,016lbs! You WILL turn heads everywhere you go in this car, as well as receive a lot of thumbs up and smiles!Inside, the interior is very snug, but not nearly as snug as you would think! When we videoed the car, myself (5'10") and our photographer (6'3) both fit comfortably inside. The black leather racing seats are in great condition and each seat has a 5-point Simpson racing harness. The dash houses a full set of racing gauges, all of which function properly. There isn't much to the interior, but why should there be? This car is about raw speed and performance! The car is powered by a powerful, rear mounted 351 Windsor Ford Racing engine, capable of producing upwards of 550 horsepower with 535 foot pounds of torque. This car sounds incredible! The video we have posted with it does not do the car justice! Attached to the engine is a heavy duty UN13 5-speed manual transaxle that shifts beautifully. I personally had the opportunity to drive this car while we made our video and I can safely say that this car is definitely in the Top 3 Most Fun Car's I've Ever Driven list! The GT40 sits aggressively upon a set of deep dish 17" polished wheels wrapped in 255/40ZR17 tires in the front and 315/35ZR17 tires in the rear. The car is equipped with 4-wheel disc power brakes to easily stop this beast. The brake pedal takes a little getting used to because it's not super sensitive, but rest assured that the brakes do work well. It should be noted that this car is equipped with air conditioning so that you don’t cook in the summer! Power, esthetics AND comfort! The power mixed with the roar of the engine and smooth manual transmission makes for an incredible driving experience! Anyone who drives this car is guaranteed smiles for miles and miles and miles! The mileage currently shows 941 and the VIN is AZ337630. It is being sold on a clean and clear Arizona title as a 1966 Ford GT40. Keep in mind that this vehicle may or may not be titled as a "Special Construction Vehicle" and may or may not be eligible for registration and/or title in California. GET OUT AND DRIVE!!! I will not be responsible for buyers remorse or problems found to said vehicle once they have left my property. I am just being realistic, most of the cars I deal in are vintage and by their very nature will need TLC and some degree of attention sooner or later. These are not new cars and should not be treated as such. The Ford GT40 needs no introduction -- designed to be a Ferrari beater, winner of the 24 Hours of Lemans four years in a row, and the list goes on. With only around 100 original cars made, replicas with varying degrees of accuracy have been produced almost since the introduction of the original cars. Superperformance makes the best known (and most expensive) replicas today, but several smaller manufacturers have built nice examples over the years. American GT was one of those manufacturers -- they built a handful of very accurate cars in the late 1990s, supposedly derived from the KVA molds that descended directly from the Ford factory in England. This very car was the first American GT prototype and appeared in the company's brochure. Chris Bramhall, the head of American GT, drove this car for some time before he decided to cannibalize it for components to complete the second kit. A good friend and client of Motorcar Studio bought the partially-disassembled chassis in 2002 and began a six-year process to source (and custom fabricate) the components necessary to put this GT40 back on the road. The original silver paint was stripped and the body was repainted in Wimbledon White with Guardsman Blue racing stripes. The car was rewired nose to tail as there were several "first try" problems with the original wiring. A new air conditioning system was installed and the interior completely redone. A new HO 302 cubic inch V8 was built for the car with gorgeous custom headers and a four-barrel Holley carb; it's mated to a five-speed transaxle from a Porsche 911. Rear hub carriers were redesigned to accommodate slightly wider custom wheels and tires. As in the original GT40, this car has twin fuel tanks and gauges with a switch to toggle between the two. The car was completed (for the second time) in 2008 and has been enjoyed as a nice-weather driver (and very occasional weekend track toy) by our client ever since. Current Georgia registration and clear Georgia title both match the VIN on the car; registered and titled as a 1966 Ford GT40. Street legal with headlights, taillights, brake lights, blinkers, horn and wiper. Full-time rear camera with screen mounted on console. All service is up-to-date; it's an incredibly fun car to drive and always draws a crowd. For more information about this Ford GT40 replica for sale at Motorcar Studio in Atlanta, please call 404-692-5250. Click here for more photos of the car. Youtube video available here.

With a slippery shape and razor-edge lines that are every bit as wind cheating as they are alluring, the car LIVES to run; and anything less than triple-digit speeds is just a waste of its time! Built by Nostalgia Motorcars Ltd. of Rock Hill, South Carolina, and recently serviced by Automotive International of Charlotte, North Carolina, this CAV GT40 is about as close to riding a bullet as you can get. And, with less than 200 miles on its bright digital odometer, it's a fresh, fully sorted track machine that's ready to rock and roll! Looking for a legitimate continuation of Ford's original super car? Looking for a clean classic that's capable of almost inconceivable levels of performance? This incredible coupe is your ultimate thrill ride! BODYWORK/TRIM It's likely that the extreme, purpose-built nature of the GT40 doesn't really occur to most people until they see one up close. At just 40 inches tall, the driver is more or less lying in the cockpit rather than sitting. And that low-slung profile, combined with the car's buckled down nose and sawed off tail, creates one wicked looking custom! As a highly authentic replica of Ford's original GT40, this killer CAV utilizes a durable Vinylester body, which is much stronger than traditional resin, to create a fully sealed, noise-free sports car. That body, the product of 200 man-hours of skilled hand shaping, is mocked to its chassis long before the car hits final assembly. And that Vinylester surface adds both form and function by stiffening the car's frame during hard cornering and presenting a smooth canvas for top notch 2-stage. Speaking of top-notch paint, sprayed in-house and buffed to a brilliant shine, this Ford's contemporary and timeless coat of True Blue pigment creates classic aesthetics that will keep fans marveling. And, while it isn't easy to create a world-class show stopper out of complex resin shapes, the car's excellent build is a true testament to the 600 man-hours of labor invested by its first rate manufacturer. While this stunning Ford is best experienced in the flesh, look closely at our high resolution photos and you'll be able to see the amount of accurate and impressive detailing that was carefully baked in to the car's classic design. Up front, a slightly canted nosepiece, which provides cooling and triple-digit downforce, stacks correct Cibie headlights, clear driving lamps and chrome-trimmed parking lights behind aerodynamic Lexan covers. Behind those lamps, a deep diffuser funnels wind across polished, Monza-style fuel fillers and a tinted windshield that's cleared by a street legal wiper. Behind that windshield, vented Lexan side windows occupy traditional, guillotine-style doors that are equipped with flush-fitting, satin-finished handles. At the back of those doors, sculpted fenders hang massive air intakes between satin-finished cowl hinges. Between those fenders, a Lexan engine cover displays the car's "COBRA" branded mill in front of satin-finished heat dissipaters and a seamless ducktail spoiler. And below those dissipaters, dual-mode tail lamps frame a metal valance that's centered on traditional exhaust pipes. ENGINE By law, specialty vehicle companies like CAV America are not allowed to sell their cars with complete drivetrains. But they'll gladly provide suggestions that range from stoplight spooky to racetrack scary! Looking for the perfect blend of power and streetability, the owner of this coupe decided to opt for a reliable, 302 cubic inch Ford small block that was assembled by the techs at Nostalgia Motorcars Ltd. of Rock Hill, South Carolina. The long-rod mill's energy mixture is supplied by four 2-barrel Weber carbs, which are dressed in small air filters and braided fluid lines. That mixture travels in to free-breathing heads, which hang aluminum, "COBRA" branded valve covers over 7mm Standard Plus plug wires that are snapped onto an aftermarket points distributor. Heat is kept in check by an aluminum cross-flow radiator that's fitted with two SPAL puller fans. Spent gases are cycled through eight stainless steel pipes that correctly mimic Ford's original 'bundle of snakes' exhaust. And, from its chrome breathers all the way to its deep-sump oil pan, this clean small block is lean, mean and 100% ready to roll. DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION The bottom of this modern GT40 is as simple as it is technical, with the car's entire undercarriage, save for the engine and transmission, being covered in black, aerodynamic belly pans. The chassis is a TIG-welded, stainless monocoque, which rides on a fully independent suspension. Turns come courtesy of manual rack-and-pinion steering, which leads aggressive suspension geometry, adjustable anti-roll bar linkages, 16 adjustable rose joints and fully adjustable Competition coil-overs. Stops are provided by a power-assisted PBR brake system, which makes good use of four billet calipers, braided fluid lines and four 300mm vented rotors. Behind the engine, you'll find a tough hydraulic clutch, which bumps a rugged Getrag 5-speed that was sourced directly from Audi. All that track prowess grips through 15-inch Halibrands, which twist 235/60 Dunlop G/T Qualifier Radials in front of 295/50 Dunlop G/T Qualifier Radials. And the chassis' stiffness is greatly aided by a whole roster of precision parts that includes CNC-punched panels, laser-cut suspension components and stiff, billet aluminum uprights. INTERIOR Naturally, this Ford's interior is every bit as nice as its lightweight shell. Step over the car's 9.5-gallon, FIA-approved fuel cells and you'll find original-style bucket seats that wear upgraded leather surfaces under authentic brass grommets and modern Simpson race harnesses. In front of those seats, a stitched dash hangs clean VDO telemetry above correct Lucas switches and an original-style, adjustable pedal box. At the bottom of the car, clean carpet frames a dressed tunnel, which centers a small, leather-wrapped shifter in front of a Wilwood proportioning valve. Above that carpet, original-style Hartswell hardware secures light doors, which feature basic panels and small Lexan vent windows. In front of the driver, an aluminum steering wheel spins a thick, black rim. And behind the passengers, a broad Lexan window provides constant monitoring of the car's potent firepower. Everything in this purpose-built racer is virtually new, from its carpet all the way to its headliner. And, with the addition of a few street friendly refinements, the simplistic cockpit has become a surprisingly comfortable place to spend a fun day at the track. Please ALLOW TIME for the test-drive VIDEO and all 90 pictures to load. Also, please take time to read the entire description found below the photos. FINANCING We offer FINANCING for your classic car purchase through our friends at JJ Best Banc & Co. CLICK 1st photo below to watch "Test Drive" VIDEO PROVENANCE Ultra low miles convertible (…very interesting “documented” history…) that is loaded with ultra valuable authentic SHELBY and Ford Hi-Po parts, including a complete authentic “Hi-Po” drivetrain from the carburetor to the differential - SEE parts list below. Please take time to read EVERYTHING before asking questions … this will help us both. Thank you in advance for your interest in this truly special ONE-OF-A-KIND car. History …. it is AMAZING Purchased new in 1966 by a Texan named J. Yancy who would fuss over it and drive it very sparingly (…only 22,239 miles through May of 1994…) and then in 1996 would start using rare authentic Shelby and authentic Ford Hi-Po parts from his collection to support the build that he would ultimately finish sometime in the 1999, 2000 time frame. Mr. Yancy started his build with his 23k mile “C-code” convertible he purchased new in 1966 and ended up with what you see today – a 29,750 original mile example of what may well be the best Shelby GT350 “convertible” replica in existence. 2 owners over a 50 year period Mr. Yancy would keep his beloved convertible for 37 years before it went through 2 different brokers who would have it approximately a year before selling to the 2nd owner, whom I purchased it from. The second owner had the car for 13 years of very gentle ownership, during which time the odometer only reached 29,700 miles. That’s only 2 owners in 50 years, both of which intentionally PRESERVED this beauty in mint condition. Documentation Binder The car comes with a documentation binder that includes various items including a 2004 detailed write-up of the cars history by internationally known classic car dealer in Georgia, Fraser Dante. Mr. Yancy had relocated from Texas to Georgia and was selling his collection and this car ultimately ended up with Fraser Dante. Mr. Dante used information provided by Mr. Yancy along with some of his own research in drafting his write-up of the car. The following is an excerpt from the July 14th, 2004 Fraser Dante write-up: ……. “A show condition, gorgeous, full build of a 1966 SHELBY GT350 convertible replica built to exacting standards from the original and the continuation model in the early 80’s, this is a fabulous car with terrific Ford body, wonderful original fenders, quarters and floors ….. information supplied from the man who had the car built and kept in his collection… this great car was 1 of 1, built in Southwest Texas starting back in 1996 using information supplied by Shelby in the article from Hot Rod magazine, Mustang special edition, printed in the early 80’s, the builder (J. Yancy ) who owned the car from NEW is a long time Shelby and Mustang collector who used extensive NOS parts to make this an exacting replica of one of the most drivable and famous cars ever, even the wheels are from Shelby America ….. the quality of this car exceeds the original standards used by Shelby while keeping all the proper parts and pieces …. this convertible is one of the best bodies one can imagine, a rust free ‘C’ code car was used, mileage at that time was about 23,000 and this car with VIN# 6R08C123457 shows only 23,363 miles in July 2004 and has less than 500 miles on the build, all of the floors, quarter panels, and fenders are original with Ford stampings as appropriate ……..” Inspiration … the Shelby nexus Inspired by the 4 original GT350 convertibles, Mr. Yancy’s “final inspiration” to take his low miles convertible and build a GT350 replica came from an article in a 1981 Hot Rod Magazine (“Mustang special edition”) announcing the Shelby sponsored “pending build” of 12 replicas of the 4 original convertibles. These cars are known today as “Continuation Cars”. The 12 continuation cars were built in the early eighties by J. Brunk, president of Beverly Hills Mustang after being tasked by Carroll Shelby and team with sourcing 12 donor convertible bodies to build cars with select performance parts including NOS Hi-Po motors. (…it is interesting to note that one of the original 12 continuation cars is currently located just around the corner from this car on the same private airport here in Texas...). AUTHENTIC Hi-Po & Shelby parts used Mr. Yancy was a man on a mission “with the goal” of building the BEST Shelby GT350 convertible in existence. He gathered REAL DEAL authentic Shelby and Ford Hi-Po parts with various “date-codes” from the 1964 to 1966 period and built what I think may be the one of the best, if not the best, replica of the vaulted GT350 convertible there is. Certainly he started with the best possible platform - his 23k mile never wrecked, never rusty convertible that he bought new. Below is a list of the valuable parts installed on this car that if gathered today “part by part” would cost over $25,000, if you could find them. - correct Hi-Po Engine Block, casting # C40E – 6015 C - correct Hi-Po Engine internals (everything) - correct Hi-Po Harmonic Balancer # BTC C8ZE – A S.D. - correct Hi-Po Autolite 4100 Carburetor # C40FAL - correct Hi-Po deep groove alternator Pulley - correct Hi-Po Dual Point distributor - correct Shelby Nodular 9” Rear End # “N” - correct Shelby beefed up C4 auto trans # C “on servo” - correct Shelby Tri-Y hedders - correct Shelby aluminum Intake - correct Shelby aluminum deep slump Oil Pan - correct Shelby aluminum hollow letter Valve Covers - correct Shelby racing mirrors / Rotunda # DS-100021 - correct Shelby welded “cowl reinforcement brace” - correct Shelby heavy duty suspension & Koni Shocks - correct Ford dual piston front DISC brakes - correct Ford Quick Ratio steering box # HCC – AX - correct Manual Choke “dash pull” for HiPo carburetor - correct High cool Radiator - correct welded on “cowl reinforcement” for Export Brace Parts used from CONTINUATION SERIES cars While this car is not one of the 12 Continuation Cars built by J Brunk, it was built using some unique parts sourced directly from J Brunk in the early 1980’s at the time his Shelby sponsored project was active. - correct J Brunk Roll-Bar (from continuation series) - correct J Brunk rear Window Cranks (continuation series) - correct Shelby America Wheels (from continuation series) - correct Hood (from continuation series) rare N.O.S parts used BOTH mirrors are original authentic ROTUNDA RACING mirrors. They are NOT reproductions. They have the J-AX-4 code etched in edge of the glass and DS-100021 cast on the insides of the base – reproductions have neither. These mirrors are impossible to find and highly sought after by owners of original Shelby Cobras and as well as owners of original Shelby Mustangs. They were NOS when installed on this car and remain in excellent condition. The last NOS set I heard of went for $2,500. You can only imagine what an owner of an original $1mm Cobra would pay for these. I removed both of these mirrors to confirm the castings and the etched date code on the glass. I photographed both and added the photo to the documentation binder… note that photo is also presented above. Another insanely rare item on this car is the NOS Ford AmFm radio. Mr. Yancy is said to have paid $2,000 for it. Like everything on this car – it works. Full Shelby specked Suspension - Ford GT quick ratio steering box (code HCC AX) - Heavy-duty 620 lb front coil spring - Heavy-duty 200 lb 2.5 inch wide rear springs - Traction Master traction bars, welded on under riders - Koni Shocks front and rear - DISC Brakes (front) - Shelby front stabilizer bar - 14x7 inch 10 spoke Shelby Wheels Also loaded with the COMFORT options Factory Air Conditioning (COLD) Power Steering Power Top Power DISC Brakes PONY Interior AmFm Radio (NOS original) Automatic Transmission Etc., ORIGINAL ultra low miles - documented The last time this car was registered and inspected in TEXAS was 1994. The original stickers from that inspection remain on the car to this very day – love this! The backside of the 1995 inspection sticker is dated as 5/23/94 and documents the mileage to be at 22,239 (NOTE photos above)! Additionally, there are other items in the Documentation Binder, including registration documents and the “write-up” itself, that document the ultra low original miles. Body The body appears to be as described by its original owner – 100% original FORD. All stampings are readily visible and I found no evidence of any panel replacement or patchwork, including the floors. Needless to say, that’s the Holy Grail for any Mustang lover who dreams of finding a virgin body on a 51 year old Mustang convertible. Paint The paint has that highly reflective, deep wet look. It is not perfect. It has a few minor flaws that can be detected under critical examination, but it is otherwise truly STUNNING to be approximately 17 years old. There is almost NO evidence of wear….. a real testament to the quality of the work as well as a testament to the care given to preserve it. The most notable issue is in the corners of the “scoop openings” which have tiny cracks (typical on virtually all of these scooped hoods). Invest in a RARE & enjoyable Mustang Classic cars have proven to be among the most resilient and rewarding investments in recent years with the Historic Automobile Group Index (HAGI) jumping 39% in 2013 and posting gains of 395-percent over the last 10-years. Demand will always be strong for quality cars like this, and supply will always be very limited. Any and all inspections must occur PRIOR to the end of this eBay listing. The seller has made a diligent effort to accurately describe any known material defects associated with this vehicle. That's really all we need to say to build excitement for our latest investment grade Ford. Of course, the car HAS benefitted from a professional, rotisserie restoration that was completed in May of 2015. So I guess that bumps the word count to eight with: rotisserie restored Shelby Nationals Concours Heritage Gold GT500KR. Then again, it's also a fully documented piece, which lands us at: fully documented, rotisserie restored Shelby Nationals Concours Heritage Gold GT500KR. But wait, I almost forgot about its gleaming coat of killer Lime Gold pigment. So how about: fully documented, rotisserie restored Shelby Nationals Concours Heritage Gold GT500KR that's decked in correct Lime Gold 2-stage? Yeah, that sounds good. But trust us, if you like the sound of that sentence, you're going to LOVE the car it describes! BODYWORK/TRIM According to Ford expert Kevin Marti, this registry-listed Shelby was produced on May 14th, 1968 and delivered down south to Rivers Ford of Monroe, Louisiana. After four decades of excellent maintenance and accident-free living, the car was purchased by its present owner and enjoyed as a solid driver. As we all know, drivers are fun, and the car racked up quite a few MCA Concours awards in that state, but sometimes it's just better to take things to the next level. So, in 2014, this clean Mustang benefitted from a professional, rotisserie restoration that was completed by Shelby specialist Tim Lea of North Andover, Massachusetts. When the car emerged from the shop in May of 2015, everything was 100% correct all the way down to original, assembly-spec oil and air filters. And today, sporting correct Lime Gold Metallic 2-stage under familiar Shelby side stripes, it rolls as a first-class showpiece that secured a Gold at the 2015 Ford/Shelby Nationals in the Concours Heritage Class, and a Silver at SAAC 40 in Division II Concours judging. Naturally, a build this extensive involved quite a bit of original bolt-ons that, according to this KR's owner, were professionally re-plated as needed. At the front of the car, original fiberglass centers a stainless-trimmed grille behind clear Ford headlights, big Lucas driving lamps, a bright chrome bumper and bullet-style parking lamps. At the top of that grille, a familiar "S H E L B Y" script leads the eye to an original fiberglass hood, which is founded beneath mirror-like stainless and a SuperGlass-massaged greenhouse. At the sides of that greenhouse, a straight profile hangs original scoops, ornate Cobra Jet emblems and original fender extension around traditional door handles, a correct chrome mirror and NOS rocker guards. And at the back of that profile, a smooth silver valence centers correct taillights and a detailed fuel filler between a second chrome bumper, bright reverse lamps, KR-exclusive exhaust tips and an original, "S H E L B Y" branded decklid. ENGINE While the car's professionally rebuilt engine isn't original equipment, it is a highly accurate, date-correct 428. Long regarded as one of the most iconic mills ever created, factory-supplied Cobra Jets utilized a strengthened medium block, heavy-duty rods, a nodular crank, and larger valves and ports to produce an advertised 335 horsepower. At the top of the engine, ram air cowl induction centers a correct, SM8S-equipped air cleaner over a date-correct carburetor and high performance intake. At the sides of that intake, cast iron heads hang crinkle-finish Cobra LeMans valve covers over fully restored exhaust manifolds. The fires are lit by a familiar points distributor, which sequences sparks through fresh Autolite Radio Resistance plug wires. Cooling comes courtesy of a re-cored radiator, which circulates water through pliable Autolite hoses and vintage screw clamps. And charging is provided by squeak-free V-belts, which spin a rebuilt alternator between correct power steering and correct smog equipment. Aesthetically, the marked and decaled engine bay appears very close to original, featuring an even combination of Satin Black and Ford Blue paint. And everything, from the car's factory brake booster and fresh Autolite battery to its tidy Ford washer tank and fresh Autolite voltage regulator, is fully sorted and ready to show. DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION Take a look under this Mustang and you'll find correct, Oxide Red floors that are such a close interpretation of the car's original foundation that they back correct Lime Gold overspray with factory-accurate paint drips. A tough C6 3-speed utilizes a correctly marked Dead Nuts On driveshaft to spin a correct Traction-Lok differential around correct 3.50 gears. At the front of that drivetrain, a rebuilt suspension centers a beefy sway bar and the aforementioned power steering between correct power disc brakes. At the back of that drivetrain, correct C7ZA leaf springs hang correct drum brakes at the edges of a clean stainless fuel tank. At the center of that suspension, fresh exhaust pipes funnel spent gases through an H-shaped crossover, small resonators and a transversely mounted muffler. And power meets the ground through E70-15 Kelsey repros, which wrap correct, KR-exclusive black sidewalls around appropriate Shelby 10-spokes. INTERIOR Naturally, Ol' Shel focused most of his energy on the performance and appearance of America's most revered pony car. And when those attributes were combined with Ford's already excellent interior, it paid big dividends. The first thing you'll notice is a snazzy wood-rimmed and chrome-trimmed steering wheel. Behind that wheel, a great looking dash frames a correct 140 MPH speedometer and 8,000 RPM tachometer beside a correct Philco radio. Opposite that dash, knitted vinyl seats are in spectacular shape, presenting hardly any evidence of use. Between those seats, a full-length console anchors small Stewart Warner accessory gauges in front of a slick Shelby shifter and correct, cobra-branded armrest. Beneath that console, like-new carpet rides tight between Shelby-branded sills. Opposite that carpet, a Shelby-spec roll bar and decaled sun visors perfectly complement a fresh headliner. At the base of that roll bar, which serves as a requisite foundation for Python-restored seatbelts, pliable door panels mix bright stainless trim and spotless chrome handles and clean wood accents. And at the back of the cockpit, a fully restored trunk sandwiches a matching Kelsey spare between a new mat and fresh decklid decal. Title is clean & clear. Mileage of 161,000 is accurate and can be traced through title registrations from previous owners due to registration with DMV. As you may know mechanical odometer limitations on the FOX body cars is 100k. Realistically there are VERY FEW Fox body Mustang's with fewer than 100k, regardless of what someone advertises. I have removed the air-conditioner for a cleaner look & ease of working on the engine. I still have the AC, brackets, tubes, etc that will go with the car. It's an easy re-install. Car is extremely fast. It is very clean and all of the body panels line up perfectly as they should. Negatives: The cowl was damaged slightly. Rear drivers-side fender-well where the fender was rolled needs slight repair. Rear bumper cover has a small approx 1-2" crack on the corner. Side skirt on drivers side needs slight repair & touch-up where the door was dragging before I replace the door hinge-pin. Passenger side door does not drag however the pin could use replacement. Drivers-side seat has a small tear in the side. I've tried to show the defects in the photos. Heater core needs replacing. All body work needed has been estimated at $1,000.00. The horn & cruise control just stopped working, it may be the clock spring. I will entertain SERIOUS offers taking these things into consideration. Even with these few flaws this is a VERY NICE 24 year old Fox Mustang. Very good driving car - steers straight with no shakes or vibrations. Serious inquires only. I have tried to be as forthcoming as possible. If you have always wanted a supercharged, aluminum headed Fox body, this is your chance to get a really nice car. I always recommend making the effort to see a car in person. I really believe you will not be disappointed, even with the few minor issues. Cash in person only. No checks of any kind. We will meet at the bank to make the sale and money will be verified. Title is in-hand, free & clear.

This means that in most states, it qualifies for antique/classic registration, which has different benefits depending on your location. Consult your local DMV for those rules. This kit car is constructed from fiberglass. That means it’s incredibly light. It’s powered by a 4-cylinder Zetec engine sourced from a Ford Focus. Imagine how much lighter this is from an already-peppy Focus, and you’ll realize that this car is quite fast. It’s got more than enough power to propel you to far-from-posted speeds. On the inside, it’s very basic. There are bucket seats, a super low seating position, and a floor shifter. It’s race-car inspired all the way through. However, this car is outfitted with a Vintage Air system, so you can drive it around town without worrying about the weather. It’s got an automatic transmission, so you don’t need race car levels of concentration to enjoy the look and feel of a ‘60s racer. The bright red paint makes it stand out (well, that and the fact that it looks like a GT40). The wheels are 17” 5-spoke wheels from a Ford Mustang Cobra R. They look aggressive, and fit the character of the car perfectly. For more information, give us a call or come see it in person. Want something different without paying an arm and a leg? EXCELLENT COND!! A/C!! This ERA GT40 Replica (chassis 2064) was professionally built and assembled by ERA and its subcontractors in 1998 for a long time friend of the head of the ERA(Workmanship is OUTSTANDING!!). It was built by them with love, at a cost-no-object build.. It was one of a fleet for a nice guy who only sold due to a racing injury that meant ingress/egress was going to be a forever problem. He had an incredible fleet of cars including a Group C competitor and lived within 20 miles or so of ERA. It is titled and registered in Texas(as a 2012 ASVE-Assembled Vehicle). Paint work was spectacularly performed by Tony’s Auto Builders in Northhampton, Massachusetts. The cars' yellow is always hard to catch correctly in pictures. It is a corvette yellow from the 90′s and the best paint job I’ve seen outside concourse Pcar work-CURRENTLY ONLY HAS A COUPLE SMALL ROCK CHIPS!! The color is almost an exact match to the Terlingua Racing yellow. Not sure whether on purpose or not but saw a restored Terlingua ‘stang at a vintage event and it looked the exact tone in both bright light and cloudy (the color really warms up nicely in overcast/dusk). This car also has the super-rare quad Webers atop the 400+ horsepower small-block 302ci, stroked to 330ci, with Dart heads. It also has the sought-after ZF 5-speed transaxle, with reverse lockout, and rod-drive, for more positive shifting. It is outfitted with pin-drive, 15" wheels, and are painted/polished alloy GT40's, wired, knock-off Halibrand pin drives, with new BFG tires in 235 & 295 widths to give the car the proper proportions. It has the proper "bundle-of-snakes exhaust", and has ONLY +/-4,000 miles on it from new, and the seller says that at his age of 70+, he is just simply getting too old for such a radical, motorsport-derived car. The REAL leather interior, and a full host of Stewart Warner gauges is shown in the MULTIPLE PICTURES. The car does have sound-proofing, Ice-cold A/C, and rust proofing to make it more livable on the street. A new aluminum radiator and cooling fans were installed in 2012, and the fuel system was completely re-plumbed at that time as well, making it road/race ready!! This ERA GT40 Mk1 is a later model, with on of the first ERA Mk1's constructed with a Stainless steel (powdercoated) frame, with the front suspension being independent, double-wishbone; the rear is independent double-trailing arm with traverse top link and lower wish bone. This GT40 is being sold "as is, where is." I welcome calls (972-235-3900) as well as inspections. The winning bidder will be required to send via payPal a $500 non-refundable deposit within 24 hours of the end of the auction with the balance of the Purchase Price to be paid within 7 days. The car will not be released until the purchase price is paid in full. We can also set up enclosed shipping worldwide!! The car is being offered for sale locally, so I reserve the right to end the auction early. Thank you for viewing another FAST, RARE car offered by L A Motorcars! L A Motorcars gets its pre-owned inventory from a variety of sources. Our cars are almost always franchise dealership trade-ins and/or lease returns. We have relationships with over 100 dealerships and brokers and buy only the highest quality preowned cars. A typical scenario is one in which a dealer obtains a car through a trade-in and that dealer is neither a specialist or is not allowed to sell a particular make of car. They call us, (we are not a local competitor), and we purchase the vehicle from them and make the car available online to a national market. Can I have the car mechanically inspected? It is our absolute mission for you to be 100% satisfied with your purchase. L A Motorcars allows full pre-buy inspection of all its vehicles from any inspection service you desire. For your convenience, L A Motorcars recommends the following automotive inspection firm: The Auto Critic 972-386-8388. This company offers thorough and honest inspections. You can contact them directly to schedule an inspection. We also recommend and do offer extended warranties. What can I expect from my purchase? You can expect great service, a great price and an impeccable car. We aim to describe the car as accurately as possible. We do offer only pre-owned vehicles and by definition our vehicles are not brand new. Most of our offerings are equal to first line vehicles sold in reputable franchised dealerships across the country. In fact, many of these dealers buy our inventory only to turn around and sell it at much higher prices. It is important when buying a used vehicle to understand that it is not brand new - it has been driven a certain number of miles. I am out-of-town, how will I get the car? L A Motorcars uses a fully bonded and insured transportation service that will deliver the vehicle to your door. The transport usually takes about 10 days and costs around $750 depending on your location. Vehicle delivery usually take between 1 and 2 weeks. We also welcome you to come to us. Many customers book a flight into Dallas Love Field or DFW Airport. Should you choose this option, we'll be glad to pick you up from the airport. These vehicles are USED vehicles and are not new. Please expect a certain amount of wear, use, and flaws, as is standard on ANY used car. All used cars including this one may have dings, nicks, chips, scratches and any other marks that are associated with use consistent with age and mileage of the vehicle. Obviously, a car that is 10 years old will show more wear and have more flaws than one that is 2 years old. While we try to service any known defects it is still possible for used vehicles to need service or repairs the first days or weeks of ownership. NOT likely, but possible! Since these vehicles are used, please remember that books, extra keys, remote entry keys, CD cartridges, etc..., do not always remain with vehicles throughout their life. We will not be responsible for these minor accessories. These items are all replaceable at any local factory dealer or right here on eBay for a few dollars.
