Well, this is it. Beautifully finished, this 1937 Ford slantback 2-door sedan shows off what the ideal combination of modifications and style can do to what was once just a transportation appliance. OK, so nobody will ever accuse the 1937 Fords of being ugly, so that's probably why the guys who built this one left the sheetmetal alone. No chopped top, no radical de-trimming, and no outrageous paint job, just clean, honest Ford steel in the original shape. Of course, fit and finish are worlds beyond what Henry could manage in 1937, even if he were willing to spend the money to get it to this level. Look closely and you'll note a few mods, including the shaved hood ornament and smooth deck lid, but nothing that immediately jumps out as a custom touch. The body was smoothed and finished to a very high standard before several coats of luscious black basecoat went on, followed by a few layers of clear for an impossibly deep shine. While they were at it, they gave the grille a coat of the same stuff, and you'll love how it highlights the body's subtle creases and curves. A simple band of stainless trim highlights the curves of the bodywork and the bumpers were tucked in tight for a smoother look. The interior is the kind of place that you'd be happy to spend a weekend or more, thanks to comprehensive upgrades that make it as comfortable as a modern luxury car. The front are beautiful low-back tan buckets, and in back the original bench has been retained. Upholstery is tan leather so its bright and airy with a strong sense of style and it's plenty comfortable for long-distance cruising. The original dash has been reworked, and the stock instrument panel has given way to a billet insert with modern VDO dials for all the major systems. A powerful A/C system is so neatly integrated that you'll have a hard time believing that Ford wasn't building them this way in 1937. A gorgeous leather-rimmed banjo-style steering wheel lives atop a tilt column and that billet aluminum shift lever links to a 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission. Under that slanting deck lid, you'll find a surprisingly spacious trunk with a cleverly disguised battery box and neatly finished tan carpets. The engine is a Chevy 350 cubic inch V8, so you know it's powerful and reliable out on the road. Fully dressed with lots of chrome, this will be part of the reason for the crowd forming around this car. A big Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor atop a polished intake is a time-tested combination, and the dual exhaust system was built as much for sound as for performance, because this car sounds amazing. The front suspension is a familiar dropped I-beam with disc brakes, while out back there's a 9-inch Ford hanging on leaf springs. The quality of the workmanship is evident everywhere you look, and it has not been driven much since it was completed, so even the chassis is bright, shiny, and clean. Even the polished Torque Thrust wheels and fat rubber don't seem to show much use at all. Expertly engineered and beautifully finished, this is the car you've been dreaming about adding to your collection. How about some love for the \'35 Fords? You see a lot of \'32-34-36 rods running around, but the \'35s, with their own distinctive grille and handsome styling that\'s similar to the \'36, make fantastic cruisers, too. This bright red tudor sedan is an all-steel car with a fresh build and the kind of detailing that\'ll take you a long time to see, so plan on settling in a while as you look at the photos. Amazing what a coat of paint can do, right? This Ford carries unmodified bodywork, including the roof, which still has a fabric insert. Every square inch of it was drenched in bright red paint, so it sure isn\'t subtle, but the workmanship is worthy of a high-end restoration and looks simply fantastic in person. The shape is completely as Ford intended, but the little stuff is what makes this car special. Note the painted grille, which neatly bridges the \'34 and \'36 designs, the delicate creases that run down the centers of the fenders, and the cool stainless rub strips on the steel running boards, keeping them functional as well as beautiful. The paint is two-stage urethane that was professionally sprayed and buffed to give it a spectacular show-worthy look and the detailing around the body moldings is exceptionally crisp, suggesting a lot of hand labor. Pedestal taillights are original and just too pretty to be replaced by some aftermarket things, and the dipped bumpers are the way Henry made them, too. Acres of tan leather creates an elegant and sporty interior with all the amenities. Bucket seats flank a custom-made \"floating\" center console and the full-width back seat is still fully usable for family-style cruising. The hides are in almost unmarked condition and the matching door panels are simple, beautiful, and expertly finished. Stylish gauges from Classic Instruments have a very art-deco look that seems right, especially in the bright red dashboard and the vents for the Vintage Air A/C system are nicely integrated into the design. Other features include power windows, a tilt steering column with leather-wrapped wheel, and power seats up front. Dark carpets are the right choice and look upscale with the tan leather piping, and even the matching floor mats look expensive. A powerful AM/FM/CD stereo includes a remote control so it can stay out of sight and preserve the clean-looking custom dash. Smooth, reliable power in the form of a 350 cubic inch Chevy V8 lives under the custom 3-piece hood. There\'s nothing radical, just solid, proven mechanicals that\'ll get you where you want to go. Edelbrock supplied a 4-barrel carb and intake, there are block-hugging headers, and the accessory drive is pulled in tightly to the block to fit in the narrow engine bay. The color-matched finned valve covers and chrome air cleaner add some showy details, and as you can see in the photos, just about everything is new with just test and tune miles. The chassis includes things like an A-arm front suspension, TH350 3-speed automatic transmission, and a 9-inch Ford rear end with 3.08 gears inside, so it\'s easy to drive and comfortable on the road. Right-sized Torque Thrust wheels give it a bit of a rake and carry 215/50/17 front and 225/50/18 rear performance rubber. At this price, there\'s just no way this car could be duplicated. Beautifully built, great to look at, and a pleasure to drive, it\'s time to give the \'35s another look. Call today! This vehicle is located in our Dallas/Fort Worth showroom. For more information, please call (817) 764-8000 or toll free (855) 877-2707. Ad provided by OldCarOnline.com/cond>

A true unmolested barn find. Mostly rust free Nevada car. No motor or transmission, otherwise very complete. Excellent floors and trunk. No front end or rear end collision damage. Original grille that could be restored. Both front fenders are solid with surface rust only and minor dents to be repaired. Running boards are original and in good condition. Rear fenders require repair where they bolt to the running boards. Rear pan below trunk lid is in very good condition. Tool tray has one rust through area on the left side only. Trunk lid and both doors are in very good condition. All close and latch properly. Dash with instruments is present and cowl vent works. Rear seat is included as well as all interior window garnish trim. An original leak free radiator is included as well as an aftermarket replacement fuel tank. Window regulators work though some glass is missing. Front windshield frame is missing. Work to be done on this body includes repairs to the roof on both sides around the center point due to improper lifting. Metal work is required. Also, on the passenger side, above the running boards, two rust outs need repairing. Otherwise, this is a very solid example of the much sought after 37 Ford 2 Door Slantback. Title is in my name and VIN number on title matches easy to read original stamping on front left section of frame. I have some aftermarket parts such as a Mustang II cross member for this car that could be negotiated with this sale. Contact me via email to view many more photos through Photobucket.

Here for sale from my Dads estate is a beautiful 1936 ford four door sedan, complete and mostly restored to original condition. The car has been stored indoors during its long term restoration. The outstanding paint, body work, top and chrome on a rust free car was done several years ago, but has seen almost no outdoors. The interior is a new Lebaron Bonnie deluxe kit professionally installed, but needs some of the trim re-stapled and a few odds and ends buttoned up. The later engine ('46 I think) was professionally rebuilt several years ago but has been driven very little, I would guess less than 1000 miles. He choose the later motor for better drivability/horse power. The rust free under side of the car is mostly original, under the hood is clean and nice, but not show quality. My Dad was restoring it to drive on nice days, not to show. The tires are Ford script wide white walls, old but in good condition. The front windows will need some adjustment to work properly, the glass is all new. I have kept this registered and insured since Dads passing in 2010, and have driven it a few miles every year and kept fresh fuel in it. I've kept the oil changed yearly also. It starts right up and drives down the road well, it will occasionally pop out of 2nd gear on deceleration. I have SEVERAL boxes of spare new and used parts to include in the sale, some are things that have not been installed yet, weather strips and such. Many are spare parts like starter, generators, headlights, hubcaps, gas heaters, some chrome, gauges, ignition parts.....on and on. I find more all the time. He would go to car shows and buy anything that looked like a 36 Ford part! So if you are looking for a car that just needs the finishing touches, this may be the car for you. The expensive stuff is done, just finish her up and drive or show. I remember him paying better then 10k to the body shop (Franklin Restorations) several years ago. This car has never been shown or offered for sale, so you will never have anyone say "that used to be so and so's car". If it does not sell this week on E-bay, I am taking the car to the Syracuse Nationals in July, I will not bring it home. It's as straight and shiny a 36 Ford you could hope to find. As I said, The paint and body work are outstanding. You won't be disappointed. Please don't hesitate to make an offer.......That being said, please be reasonable. If you feel the car is not worth near my asking price.......then this may not be the car for you. You are welcome to make an appointment with me to come see the car if you like, I work, so it will have to be evenings or weekends.
