I will go out on a limb here and say this is the finest, most original, lowest mileage DOHC VTEC Del Sol in the US. Part of the reason for running this ad is to see if that is true. If you know of one better than this, please let me know, ok? Thank you! The original owner, a middle aged lady, purchased this car and kept it for 17 years. Garaged in northern California, I have every oil change receipt for the car. Each 3 months, even if mileage was only 300 miles, it got new oil and filter. The car comes a huge stack of receipts for every oil change, repair or maintanence, etc. The car needs NOTHING. Looks new inside, smells new, original radio, factory floor mats, door panels aren't wrinkled, no leaks, cold ac. The engine looks as though it has never started. No accidents, all original paint and interior. Wheels have no curb rash, tires are almost new. Gaskets are like new, no tears, cracking, or leaking. I bought some aftermarket floor mats to use so the originals can stay in my garage. I really don't want to sell it, I honestly thought this was a good way to see if anyone else has, or knows of, a nicer one than this. If you want to own it, the price is fairly firm. I have had 67 cars in my life and this one is the finest condition car I have evere had. True survivor, a time capsule. Red paint still looks new. You can find them cheaper, but probably not better. Think of getting a 3 year old convertible that will only appreciate for this price, it makes sense. Car comes with original window sticker, all receipts, brochures, even a VCR tape of Honda Del Sol commercials. Shipping is responsibility of the buyer. Remember, there are 3 types of Del Sol, and all of them are wonderful. The S is the basic car, 102 hp more or less, auto or std, soft suspension. The SOHC SI is 125 to 127 hp, disc brakes, front anti sway bar, bigger tires. The DOHC VTEC, which comprised only 6100 of the 75,000 Del Sols produced, was 160 hp, 8200 rpm redline, 4 wheel disc antilock brakes, anti sway bar front and read, strut brace, stiffer suspension, 5 speed only, is a blast to drive. Handles like a dream, very fast, it isn't your father's Honda! I know the pictures aren't great, I took them in bright sun. The car is a deep red, no fading at all. I can take more if you want. For you experts out there, the shift knob was from an Acura, but the car came with the original so I put it back on. It also has the Japanese Domestic visors installed, but the originals are included. I left the JDM ones on as they actually work much better than the little ones that come with these cars. I am very picky about what I buy or drive. My everyday car is a 1992 Civic VX which I have had since new. It has 435,000 miles and still runs and looks great. I have a 1969 Mustang I bought in 1977 that still is in mint condition. The Del Sol is better shape than anything I have ever owned, and that is saying a lot. Once again, if you have, or know of one nicer than this, please contact me! Thank you.
