The seats and all upholstery are in excellent condition. Never smoked in. Everything works perfect from the power adjustable pedals to the door locks, windows, cruise control, etc. The A/C is ice cold and the Heat is hot. All original books and manuals are included. The exterior is also in excellent condition. No previous accidents and always a Texas truck, so no rust or corrosion anywhere on it (not even on the undercarriage). I had the entire truck completely repainted when I bought it because of some small scratches here and there that bothered me. The front bumper has a few very small and very light scuffs from normal use and a tiny dent at the very bottom, but I think that's the only imperfection to be found on the outside of this truck. The truck really looks amazing. As you can see, this truck shows extremely well. This truck is ready to be driven anywhere you want to take it. Stretched four inches, this Lone Star Classics LS427 roadster fits taller drivers and makes guys who fit into regular Cobras even more comfortable. In addition, the longer wheelbase increases ride quality, so it's a total win-win. Assembly was handled by North Dallas Motorsports, a full service shop that specializes in '32 Ford and Cobra builds, and their quality is evident in both the fiberglass body and the finish work by sighting down the sides. Metallic Cadillac Diamond Black covers the body while Corvette Crystal Red is the perfect accent color for the famous stripes. A lone chrome roll hoop is classic, as is the quick release fuel cap, plus jacking points front and rear that look race-ready, and that trick Talbot-style mirror. Take a look at the pictures again and try to convince yourself that you don't want this car...we dare you. Inside you've got a pair of leather seats in an all-business cabin. G-Force racing harnesses hold you in place while a Grant steering wheel on a tilt column (again, for great access for taller drivers) swiftly takes in all of your commands. Full VDO instrumentation lets you know exactly what's going on in the engine compartment. Stretching the wheelbase also allows the engine and transmission to be moved forward slightly, which enables the short throw Hurst shifter to be in a far more natural position. The 220 miles on the odometer is since it was completed, practically making this a brand new car! The Wilwood pedals use triple master cylinders with dual reservoirs for the front and rear brakes, and the bias is adjustable, just like in a race car. A Lokar gas pedal is the only entertainment system you'll find or need in a car like this. Under the hood is a 302 cubic inch crate engine with a ton of great parts and 375 horsepower. Lurking below the classic oval air cleaner (with a K&N filter) is an Edelbrock carburetor and Performer RPM intake. Performer RPM heads take orders from the Comp Cams hydraulic bumpstick through Comp roller rockers, while Taylor 8mm wires are fed by an all-in-one electronic distributor. The compression ratio is 9.5:1, which will happily run on pump gas and doesn't get cranky in traffic. The engine was assembled by the Cobra motor experts at the Engine Factory in New Jersey, and they're regularly used by Lone Star in their own builds, so it's a stout piece that sounds great and runs hard. The chassis is another strong point of the LS427. The front suspension consists of tubular control arms while a Currie built 9-inch rear axle hanging from a four link is out back. QA1 adjustable coil overs are at all four corners, as are Wilwood disc brakes. A Z-spec T5 five-speed manual transmission is a great match for the 302 under the hood, and the overdrive is welcome on cruises. Gorgeous 17-inch wheels fill the wheel wells thanks to 275/40/17 front and 315/35/17 rear Nitto radials. You couldn't build this awesome Cobra for our asking price, and even if you could you'd have to wait. EVERYONE knows they're fast, and this one is no different, with its 351 cubic inch powerplant, gorgeous silver bodywork, and modern rubber wrapped around vintage-looking wheels. Why waste time building your own when this one is available right now for about what you'd spend building your own. It's based on a Lonestar kit and was professionally built by North Dallas Motorsports, and with just 254 shake-down miles since it was completed, you know it's nice. How nice? Well, that silver paint shines like it belongs on a six-figure original, not a fiberglass tribute and the bodywork captures the musclebound stance of the Cobra almost perfectly. The silver paint also makes it easy to forget it's not made of aluminum and black racing stripes keep it from looking naked, as any un-striped Cobra does. Authentic details like the fender vents, hood scoop, and roll bar behind the driver are there just in case anyone needs any reminders as to what kind of car this is, and cackling side pipes just make it look butch. Prep work was nicely done, leading to a car that fits together quite well and definitely attracts attention out on the road. The interior is how you do a Cobra right. Low-back bucket seats with lots of bolstering and a cool shape mean that this car is actually quite comfortable, and the industrial-strength race vibe is present in mass quantities. A fat Grant steering wheel on a tilt column makes it quite a bit more accommodating than an original Cobra and the aluminum instrument panel with handsome VDO gauges is perfect for the lightweight sports car. You can forget radio and A/C, and if you need those things in your Cobra, well, perhaps you should stick to your Camry instead, because the side pipes provide all the stereo you'll need. A stubby shifter with a white cue ball knob manages the Tremec 5-speed gearbox and the finish of all the major controls is impressive, particularly the instrument panel with its rolled lip. Wind wings are actually a rather useful feature for open-air motoring at speed, and this Cobra includes a decent-sized and usefully-shaped trunk, too. A stout 351 cubic inch Windsor V8 fits under the forward-tilting hood rather nicely, and with the lightweight small block up front, performance and handling are razor-sharp. With aluminum heads, a big Edelbrock carburetor and intake manifold, and an upgraded cam in the block, it grunts out 425 horsepower at the crank, equal to an original 427 without the mass. As you'd expect, it's scary fast, yet happy to idle in traffic thanks to the oversized aluminum radiator, and it certainly looks right with finned Cobra valve covers and a matching oval air cleaner that simulates dual quads underneath. The front suspension is comprised of tubular A-arms, rack-and-pinion steering, and coil-over shocks, while the stout Moser rear end is filled with 3.73 cogs and hangs on a modified trailing arm suspension, and there are Wilwood disc brakes at all four corners. Those aforementioned side pipes are ceramic-coated for lasting good looks, and while the wheels might look like vintage Halibrands, they're brand new 17-inchers wearing 245/45/17 front and 315/35/17 rear performance radials. Titled as a 2014 model, this awesome Cobra cackles and rumbles like the real deal, yet you can drive it every day if that's your thing. If you're an immediate satisfaction kind of guy, take this one home and have fun. The kit is from Lonestar, but it's hard to call a car that was professionally built a "kit." All-new components were used in the build, so this isn't some cadaver-hunting expedition come to life, but a car that was designed to be the best right from the start. Fiberglass Cobra bodywork always needs a little finessing, so they invested the time to get it smoothed it out and everything lined up just right. Then they laid down the silver metallic base, along with slightly darker blue/gray stripes, then buried it all under a few coats of clear. That shine tells you that they also invested a week rubbing and buffing the finish until it had an inner glow that makes people stop in their tracks to get a second look. It's also got all the proper Cobra details, ranging from the oil cooler plumbed into the lower grille opening to the jacking stubs in place of the bumpers to the flip up gas cap out back. Lucas-style taillights make it look authentic, and what Cobra would be complete without a set of side pipes and a roll hoop? The black leather buckets with matching door panels put a distinctly British twist on the usual Cobra attire, but that's entirely appropriate considering that the Cobra was based on the English-built AC Ace. Those ties are tenuous at best with a reproduction Cobra like this, but those lovely leather hides are so buttery soft that you'll find it impossible to resist touching it every time you walk past this car. The wood-rimmed steering wheel is a reproduction unit that could pass for an original and works rather well with the engine-turned dash to create a period performance look. Attractive VDO instruments fill the dashboard in a simple array, and if you think you need a radio in your Cobra, you're probably doing it wrong. However, it does have a tilt steering column so it's easy to get comfortable behind the wheel. The trunk is nicely finished with black carpets and a trick cut-off switch for the rear-mounted battery. The engine is a tried-and-true 302 cubic inch Ford V8, which seems like the right choice in a Cobra like this. Equipped with an Edelbrock intake manifold and a matching 4-barrel carb, it definitely has the blasting powder to make this Cobra move like an original. It's also beautifully dressed in Cobra regalia and the professional build quality shows up in the neat wiring, clean plumbing and race-grade parts, not to mention the impeccable workmanship throughout. It's backed by a 5-speed manual transmission and a 9-inch rear end, so it's plenty rugged and up for some fun. The front suspension is A-arms with rack-and-pinion steering, and there's a disc brake at all four corners. Glittering American Racing rims look traditional yet wear modern 245/40/17 front and 315/35/17 rear Nitto performance radials.
