That has undergone a nut and bolt transformation complete with photo documentation, notes from the builder, and every recite for all parts and labor spent completing this show truck. The International Harvester Company’s K and KB series of trucks are known for their prewar design in the postwar era. The KB series is basically a K series truck with wings surrounding the grille, chrome wrap-around hood trim, chrome hood ornament, and chrome model designation lettering. These trucks were the workhorses of many companies’ fleets, because of their low cost, simplicity, and most importantly their legendary reliability. This resto-mod KB-1 is in fantastic condition it could be used as a true daily driver. From the paint down to the frame, every detail of this truck has been done with quality in mind. The paint is in show quality condition, with only superficial imperfections. The original numbers matching frame was boxed in front, while the original steel body panels were sand blasted, primed, and painted using two stage paint. Well, you could grab this great-looking 1946 Dodge pickup that has a lot of old-fashioned charm with thoroughly updated hardware underneath. You won't see many like this running around and you can drive it cross-country without a second thought, making it a great hobby vehicle that's as practical as it is handsome. Red with black fenders is a traditional old pickup look, and it's a roaring success on this postwar Dodge. The curving shape is familiar, simply because everyone loves pickups of the '40s, and with the headlamps perched high on the tops of the front fenders, the Dodge has a unique look that'll stand out in a crowd. It's got a few other pre-war details like the running boards and pontoon fenders, all of which make this truck a slam-dunk in the appearance department. It's also beautifully finished, with four year old paint that still looks quite good despite being a cruise night favorite. There are no funky metallic or questionable graphics, and if not for the modern rubber on the ground, it could almost pass for a stocker. We like the cowl lights, the stylized ram's horn hood ornament (you think "Ram Tough" is a new invention?), and plenty of chrome details that look great and have been nicely refinished. And like many restored pickups today, you get a beautifully finished oak bed in back that's too nice to work for a living but adds a lot of charm to the old hauler. Simple is good inside, where you get a black vinyl bench seat, plain door panels, and a stock dashboard, which all take you back to the good old days. However, updates abound, including a tilt steering column, a powerful A/C system under the dash, and modern gauges in the dash, which are fitted into neat billet housings that look appropriate. There's also an overhead tachometer in its own pod and a very trick shifter for the 4-speed manual gearbox. A rubber floor mat reminds us this is still a commercial vehicle and there is no radio, which is how it came from the factory. Add in a handsome headliner to give a finished look, original hardware on the doors, and fresh weather-stripping throughout, it's surprisingly comfortable for long hauls. Long hauls are considerably easier with the ZZ4 crate motor under the hood. With 350 cubic inches, Holley 4-barrel carburetor, and a no-stories look, this truck runs and drives beautifully. A few chrome dress-up pieces make it sparkle and the clean under-hood look is a testament to the careful build. Dig the air cleaner that inhales through the hood's side vents, a big radiator, and new wiring throughout, all of which make this Dodge stand out in a crowd. It took 3 ½ years and hundreds of hours of labor for Reasonable Rides and Rods to build this one of a kind 1937 Ford Truck. Starting as a roller, this truck was painstakingly built into a show quality and extremely potent street rod. If Ford started producing new 1937 trucks, this would be their prototype. Make an offer, but have your funds available. Body/Paint The body is a Downs Manufacturing 1937 Ford Truck. The bed and tailgate are steel. Each panel was meticulously worked prior to paint. The rear fenders were widened 3 inches to handle a much wider tire. The running boards were modified to accommodate the wider fenders. This approach was taken rather than tubbing the truck to keep the wider stance for driving quality. Every piece and panel was painted individually before assembling the truck. American Body Works applied the classic Grabber Blue paint and custom Ford script on the tailgate. The hood is a custom tilt-forward hood for access to the engine. The wood in the bed is black and has been clear-coated with stainless steel strips. The paint is flawless and show quality. It’s a timeless color that will never go out of style. Engine/Trans The engine in this truck is a new 2004 Ford 4.6 SOHC mod motor. It came directly from Ford and had 0 miles prior to install. While potent enough in NA form for this light vehicle, it has a slight twist to it…it’s Turbocharged! A one-off custom rear mount 70mm turbo pushes a conservative 7 lbs of boost. This is not someone’s kit, but rather a hand built turbo system made to compliment the other modifications to the engine. The cams are mild upgrades from stock and work well with the turbo. The original factory fuel injection was eliminated and a Professional Products Powerjection III unit was installed on top of a Edelbrock intake. This gives it the look of an “old school” carbureted truck, with the performance of fuel injection. The Powerjection III can handle up to 20 lbs of boost and has upgraded injectors to handle the boost. The Powerjection III and MSD controller have been custom tuned with the correct spark curve and fuel curves for this beast. All of the components complement each other well and this truck is incredibly fast. The transmission is a new 4R75W overdrive automatic. It utilizes an Optishift controller that has fully adjustable shift points. The combination of overdrive and 3.70 rear gears makes driving the truck in town or on a long trip very pleasurable. Suspension A custom built frame is the base for the truck. The front suspension is a Mustang II style with tubular upper and lower control arms combined with QA1 coil-over shocks that are fully adjustable. A power rack handles the steering. The rear suspension is a 4-link set up with a bullet-proof 9 inch rear end with 3.70 gears. The rear shocks are QA1 coil-over units as well. We decided against an air bag suspension for ride quality, although the stance is still fully adjustable. The brakes are power disc around and it stops on a dime. Interior The interior is a combination of black leather and suede. Low back bucket seats were custom stitched and fit perfectly in the interior. To give it that classic look, the seat inserts and door panels are diamond stich suede with blue thread. The dash is covered with leather along with the custom console. Door and window switches are hidden in a sliding panel in the console. The headliner is full suede from the front of the cab to behind the rear seats. A Jensen touch screen head unit is installed with front kick speakers and a 10 inch sub mounted in a custom storage compartment behind the seats. The gauges are AutoMeter Street Rod Series. The shifter is a Lokar short shifter and the overdrive button is located in the console. The Vintage Air system is controlled by an auto temperature control unit from Dakota Digital. There are many custom features to the interior. Tire/Wheels The truck rides on 18 inch Boyd’s with Nitto 215/35-18 front tires and 295/45-18 rear tires. Overall You won’t find a nicer street rod than this 1937 Ford. The truck is titled as a 1937 Ford and is a clear Texas title. It has fantastic street manors and can be driven anywhere. Originally built to spec by the Howe Fire Apparatus Company the Defender series was the top of the line in Howe%26acirc;??s arsenal of fire trucks. The Howe Company was known for producing the first motorized fire engine in the United States in 1905 and before that in 1872, B.J.C. Howe%26acirc;??s patented piston fire pump. B.J.C Howe%26acirc;??s design for the first piston pump was so well engineered that versions of it were still being used without much change for almost a hundred years. Howe continued their legacy of building some of the best fire fighting trucks in the nation until 1978 when Grumman Allied purchased the company. Bought and optioned by the Center Ossipee Fire Department in New Hampshire in 1971 this great truck was maintained and in service at their station until 1998. After her tour at Ossipee the Defender was transferred to Hiram Maine where it was stationed until 2010 when a private buyer purchased it. From the International factory this 1800 chassis pumper was equipped with the stout 304cid gas engine and 8 speed Rockwell transmission. This beast is also complete with a Rockwell locking rear differential in case of traction issues. From there the Howe Company equipped this rig with a 800GPM Hale PTO driven water pump and 1000gal tank. For sale in our Fort Lauderdale showroom is a cool and custom 1971 Scout 800 B. This is a full frame off, five year build, restoration. Every single piece of metal on this Scout has been removed, sand blasted, primer coated and painted. A POR 15 Hard Nose two-part dark blue paint was used to paint the: Frame, arms for the 3 link on the front, shock tubes, and the underbelly. While it was stripped down, all the bolts were replaced with grade 8 bolts and body mounts replaced as well. The exterior body has been professionally painted with PPG Global custom light aqua blue with a touch of green. With multiple coats of clear, this color scheme is glossy and screams \"Take me to the beach!\" The removable top has a nice glossy white finish, to make the rest of the car pop! All the rubber seals (doors, windows, body etc) on the Scout have been replaced. The owner spared at no expense, restoring this car with custom and rare parts. Per example, the side mirrors are a very rare, hard to find set of Yankee \"bullet\" mirrors. The aluminum grill and head light bezels were buffed and polished to a nice finish, which makes passer-bys double take and gawk. The bed has been reinforced with stronger, thicker metal, assuring this ride is just as tough as it is beautiful. New Scout emblems were used for the finishing touches. The front bumper was replaced with a beautiful, chrome Smittybuilt dual tube front bumper. The rear bumper was replaced with a modern chrome plated bumper. With all of this show, one could only hope it has an equal amount of GO! Rest assured, that it does! To power this International Scout for sale is a custom Chevy block 383 stroker with less than 400 miles. This motor has been professionally honed and bored .030 over with forged 4340 internals, 6 inch full stroke rods, Comp Cam extreme 4x4 camshaft, AFR heads, Ultra pro Magnum rocker arms, custom Holley carburetor with Edelbrock Air Gap, MSD ignition with 6AL2 digital and MSD cables, and high output mechanical fuel pump. To keep the motor oil flowing is a Moroso racing oil pump with a Moroso Deep low profile off road racing oil pan. The pulley system is a March Performance polished aluminum pulley kit. This small block Chevy would be equally as happy behind any Chevy muscle car, as it would this big and bad 71\' Scout for sale! Backed behind this peppy engine, is a TH 350 automatic transmission, which was completely rebuilt and shifts through a K%26N slap shifter. With the Trans Go shift kit, large volume K and N aluminum transmission oil pan, and a exterior oil cooler to keep fluids cool, this transmission was built to last! The NP 205 transfer case was completely rebuilt to be bullet-proof, with new seal and components. Beefed up out-puts connecting custom drive shaft. To add some grip and stop to all of this go, New Warn locking Hubs were added, as well as new performance rotors on the front along with Hawk pads. New Calipers, new brake booster, and new break lines were added, to give this Scout, the complete once-over. The vehicle handles the beefy Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ tires with ease, via a Power Steering Pump off of the Scout II that was sent out, rebuilt and fabricated. A chrome aftermarket steering column and Borgenson joints route around the headers. The steering wheel, made out of walnut wood, is connected to the column and has a nostalgic feel to it. It has a full 3 link suspension on the front, professionally done, with all joints, chromoly steel arms, brackets, etc, from Ballastic Fabrication. It has King Coil Shocks (coil overs) that have 14 inches of travel. The rear is a spring over Pro Comp 3 inch lift kit with Bilstein shocks. The tires are brand new Mickey Thompson MTZ 35 inch 12.5\'s . If you wanted bigger tires on this beast you could easily do it, but any taller and you may have to bring out the step ladder!. The rims are polished aluminum off road wheels. This scout has a 19 gallon aluminum gas tank centered and tucked up under the rear truck bed towards the back of the truck. It is really nice to have for those long distance excursions. With the drivetrain aside, all that\'s left is the interior. This 1971 International Scout for sale was totally rewired, with an 18-circuit painless wiring kit. They run power to an awesome set of Arctic white Auto meter gauges that were placed in a custom dash. They look just right, complimenting the new white vinyl bucket seats and bench! It has a nice and modern Alpine head unit with remote, which still needs to be installed. This Scout for is equipped with various options, including an aftermarket air conditioner and heating system made by NAP air conditioning products, which is tucked under the dash on the passenger side below the glove box.
