You already know it's an attractive, comfortable, quick and all-around cool classic. In fact, it was even voted the Best Chevy of All Time during Chevrolet's 100th anniversary celebration. That said; falling for a killer F1 is easy. The difficult part is finding a unique, well-restored car that'll keep you happy for years to come. Luckily, your friends at RK Motors Charlotte have a real knack for finding standout builds. And this award-winning Camaro, wrapping a 511 cubic inch big block in top-notch customization and Satin Pearl pigment, is about as standout as it gets. So, if the panther bug has bitten you, take a closer look at this killer bowtie! BODYWORK/TRIM Steal a glance at this Chevy's super slick body and you'll see what high quality craftsmanship truly looks like. The product of a ground-up restoration that was performed by the dedicated enthusiasts at Legacy Innovations its solid sheetmetal was completely stripped, carefully sanded and thoroughly worked into a top-notch pro-street cruiser. Once that intense labor resulted in better than factory fit, a smooth coat of Satin Pearl was dressed in custom war paint, accented with subtle pinstripes and sealed in satin clear. And the result is one razor-sharp pony car that looks good, runs great and easily turns heads! There's no question that the '69 Camaro is one of the best-looking muscle cars of all time. And when a team of skilled builders executes a bit of carefully planned customization, it only serves to make things better! At the front of this slick coupe, a shaved grille hangs trick Delta headlights above LED parking lamps, a carbon fiber chin spoiler and a sanded, tucked and smoothed bumper. Above that grille, an extended ZL2 hood floats between a shaved header, a shaved cowl and flush-fit glass. At the sides of that glass, F2 mirrors, color-keyed Ringbrothers door handles and custom, color-keyed quarter gills add acute detail to the car's shaved profile. And at the back of that profile, a hand-made spoiler frames LED taillights, a carbon fiber valance, and a second sanded, tucked and smoothed bumper. ENGINE Lift the 4-inch fiberglass hood and you'll find 511 cubic inches of Chevrolet V8 that's surprisingly streetable. Torching high-octane racing fuel into tough 10 to 1 compression, that chest-thumping big block is a bored and stroked brainchild of Dallastown, Pennsylvania's Warrior Engines. The mill's growl originates when wind whips from a custom "511" branded air tube in to a massive Quick Fuel Technology carburetor that's cinched to braided fluid lines and a small JEGS pressure gauge. The resulting air/fuel mixture makes its way from a Weiand Team G intake to iron Merlin heads, which hide high quality roller rockers under painted valve covers and satin Moroso breathers. When the juice hits those heads, MSD 6AL ignition sends fire through an MSD Pro-Billet distributor and premium Taylor plug wires while big cylinders combust via H-beam connecting rods, an Eagle 4340 crank and a Comp hydraulic roller cam. Cooling for that fire comes courtesy of a beefy aluminum radiator that's strung between a custom water tube, SPAL puller fans and a Satin Pearl support cowl. Fluid for that cooling is provided by a Meziere water pump, which hangs beside a polished alternator that's bolted between a Powermaster bracket and color-keyed pulley. Spent gases exit through a subdued pair of Hooker Super Competition headers. The buff mill is exceptionally impressive, centering its glossy block between custom fenders, a smooth firewall and a fully finished hood. And details like ARP bolts, ARP studs, hydraulic hood supports and a Wilwood master cylinder are well planned and well executed. DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION Take a gander under this slick F-Body and you'll find a fully detailed chassis that mixes enhanced technology with proven durability. Behind the rowdy engine, a 3,200 RPM stall converter torques a tough Turbo-Hydramatic 400 3-speed. That 3-speed twists a spooled Ford 9-inch that's built around 4.88 gears and Moser 35-spline axles. That pumpkin rides on a ladder bar suspension that's fitted with adjustable QA-1 coil-overs. Opposite those coil-overs, a Heidts front clip makes good use of Flaming River power rack-and-pinion steering. At the corners of that chassis, proven Wilwood calipers clamp vented rotors. Exhaust floats through custom, 4-inch pipes, which employ aggressive, single-chamber mufflers. Power meets the pavement via color-keyed Schott wheels, which twist 26x10.00R18 Mickey Thompson Sportsman S/Rs in front of 31x18.00R20 Mickey Thompson Sportsman S/Rs. And the car's solid, Satin Black floors are finished with stainless fluid lines, a deep-sump oil pan, a Stef's transmission pan and requisite subframe connectors. INTERIOR Open this Chevy's tight-fitting doors and you'll find a custom leather interior that was stretched by Stitch & Stereo of York, Pennsylvania. The car's firm seats, a slender pair of high-back buckets, have been threaded with 3-point RCi safety harnesses. In front of those mitts, a "Camaro" branded dash hangs Auto Meter Pro-Comp Ultra-Lite telemetry behind a stitched pad and aftermarket instrument panel. At the base of that dash, a custom consolette centers a B&M ratchet shifter in front of switches for the car's power windows. Beneath that console, tight California Carpet anchors color-keyed floor mats between monochromatic sills and stainless-trimmed foot pedals. At the edges of that carpet, custom door panels hang polished handles beneath sculpted armrests and arched trim spears. In front of the driver, a polished and half-wrapped Billet Specialties steering wheel laps a tilting column. Behind the passengers, a thick roll bar keeps a small fire extinguisher on point. And behind the cockpit, a fully finished trunk frames a tidy fuel cell. OUR SALE INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTATIONThe aforementioned build photosA stack of build receipts With its stout 511/3-speed drivetrain, this Camaro is a blast to drive and certainly has no trouble turning heads just sitting still. The car's fresh looks and virtually limitless performance honor the late '60s Americana we all know and love. At the same time, custom flair and modern build prowess make it an amazing place to log countless weekend miles. Its standard Blue interior trades outrageous leather liners for simple and subtle vinyl. And its glossy, LeMans Blue body is straight, solid and undeniably classic. In fact, everything on this Chevy is traditional and very familiar, and that's exactly what makes it so special. You see, with this coupe, there are no gimmicks to attract your attention, pretentious aspirations of becoming a modern sports car, or obnoxious luxury cruiser add-ons. It's just a clean, honest-to-goodness muscle car that's so appealing and so well-done it'll stop you in your tracks. If you're looking for some awesome Detroit metal that can turn heads from here to California, and doesn't have to make excuses for a previous owner's compromised vision, this real-deal Super Sport is your brand of fun! The beneficiary of a professionally finished, frame-off restoration, this slick, first generation F-Body features an athletic appearance that's highlighted by a correct Ermine White and LeMans Blue color combination. Steal one glance down the sides of the car's rock-solid body and you'll find that great care was taken to ensure all seams are both narrow and precise. Step closer to the car's mirror-like paint and check out flat surfaces that are a product of both rust-free, original sheetmetal and high quality replacement panels. Grab the car's well-adjusted hood and feel how smoothly it closes to provide an excellent fit that's set off by a clean clearcoat finish. Ultimately, it all adds up to one lean, mean Chevrolet dream machine that, despite being a few years out of the paint booth, still stops traffic. When it comes to purity of form, I can't really think of a better looking car than Chevrolet's 60s-era Camaro. It's a solid and straightforward design that continues to age exceptionally well, especially in the company of its exaggerated and extroverted competitors. At the front of this super cool F1, a stainless-trimmed grille hangs clear parking lamps and a familiar "SS" emblem between bright halogen headlights, a spotless chrome bumper and a small Camaro header script. At the top of that grille, a correct Super Sport hood reflects a perfect combination of like-new glass, satin-finished wipers and mirrored stainless trim. At the sides of that hood, a monochromatic profile hangs beefy "396" emblems and flowing "Camaro SS" scripts between familiar door handles, stainless rocker guards and a correct chrome mirror. And at the back of the car, an option D80 decklid and second spotless bumper frame a Satin Black valence, '68 Camaro-exclusive tail lights, and an "SS" branded fuel filler. If you wanted to factory-order 1968's top-of-the-line Camaro, you had one option: 396 cubic inches of big block Detroit iron! At the top of this coupe's numbers-matching, "MQ" branded mill, a chrome, correctly decaled air cleaner funnels wind into a familiar Winters intake via a big Holley carburetor. At the sides of that intake, spotless chrome valve covers reflect fresh AC Delco Premium Wires above fully restored exhaust manifolds. At the ends of those wires, a traditional points distributor rides between a new coil, a rebuilt wiper motor and a beefy Delco Moraine brake booster. And, opposite those wipers, a heavy duty radiator sends coolant around a shrouded fan via reproduction GM hoses and fresh tower clamps. Naturally, this coupe's impressive engine bay, comprised of smooth Satin Black fenders, correct markings and new, factory-accurate decals, is clean and well detailed. The Chevy Orange block mixes a green carburetor spring with a typical array of stainless lines and textured ancillary pieces. And everything, from the car's chrome dipstick to its tagged Delco battery, displays an overall excellent appearance. Under this tire shredding classic you'll find a fully sorted chassis that's ready to hit the strip. Behind the buff engine, a correct Muncie 4-speed kicks a familiar GM 12-bolt that spins a posi-traction differential around brutal, 4.10 gears. Beneath that drivetrain, a completely factory suspension employs traditional, manual steering. At the corners of that suspension, power front disc and rear drum brakes provide cool and confident stops. Charred dinosaurs float from the aforementioned manifolds into a 2.5-inch, true-dual exhaust system that's complete with an "H" shaped crossover and aggressive, dual-chamber Flowmasters. Power flows to the pavement through LeMans Blue steelies, which spin F70-14 Firestone Wide Oval Super Sport redlines around old school, Chevrolet-branded hub caps. And the car's clean, Satin Black floors, which were thoroughly reworked during its extensive restoration, feature a full array of stainless finishing components. Open this awesome F1's doors and you'll find a correct vinyl interior that conveys a very clean and decidedly vintage appearance. At the center of the car, a blue-trimmed bucket and bench seat combination is in fantastic shape. At the front of the car, a good looking dash hangs fully rebuilt telemetry next to a correct Delco radio. At the bottom of the car, a chrome Hurst shifter hovers over stain-free carpet that's protected by tough rubber floor mats. At the top of the car, a tight blue headliner retains even color and good pliability. In front of the driver, an ornate, color-keyed steering wheel spins around a bright "SS" horn button. At the sides of the passengers, standard door panels are decorated with straight stainless trim and familiar GM armrests. And behind the cockpit, a thoroughly restored trunk is solid, dressed and ready to load. The sale of this poised panther includes an original window sticker, a Jerry MacNeish appraisal and a Camaro Hi-Performance Certificate of Authenticity. This spectacular Chevy embodies old school Detroit vigor at its very finest, combining stunning design with simple execution and no-excuses, no-limits performance. Distinctive, comfortable and professionally built, the car is simply spectacular on the road. And if you're looking for something a little different than an everyman's show queen, it represents a fantastic opportunity. Don't miss your chance to get behind the wheel of an all-American bowtie! And as much as we enjoy watching killer F1s parade through our doors, it's always nice to see a well-done second generation car. Being an avid Camaro fan, you probably know finding a highly polished F2 isn't all that hard. But the chances of scoring a unique, fully-sorted pro-tourer seem almost as likely as purchasing a winning lotto ticket. Luckily, since the passionate gearheads at RK Motors Charlotte specialize in the unique and fully sorted, we can offer you one-of-a-kind opportunities like this attractive, carefully modified 'hugger'. Featuring a beefy 454, a smooth 700R4 4-speed and a modern leather interior, this super clean muscle car will ensure you enjoy miles of open road and plenty of high octane summers! During its thorough reboot, this solid old panther was entirely disassembled and carefully stripped of its dull, original pigment. Once that prep was complete, an incredibly straight fuselage was augmented with a bit of fresh sheetmetal. As that massaged sheetmetal featured better-than-factory alignment, a rich coat of silver and black base was detailed with custom hood graphics and sealed in glossy clear. When that clear dried, labor-intensive hours were spent buffing a spectacular shine. And today, one close look at our high resolution photos reveals a handsome payoff in the form of one of the coolest Chevrolet muscle cars on the planet! General Motors envisioned the F2 Camaro as a working man's Ferrari and, thanks to a better timeframe and bigger budget, effectively addressed many of the complaints enthusiasts had about the F1. Longer, wider, lower to the ground and more aggressive, the second generation was certainly more of a driver's car, and is widely regarded as some of the best iron Detroit ever produced. At the front of this coupe, a striking, two-piece valence centers bright chrome bumpers and a "Z28" branded grille between modern headlights, RS parking lamps and a factory spoiler that's been milled to race car-like aesthetics. Behind that valence, a substantial cowl induction hood anchors tinted, flush-mount glass between body-matched sport mirrors, well hidden windshield wipers and subtle black trim. At the sides of that hood, a clean fuselage keeps extraneous bits to an absolute minimum, even incorporating shaved doors. And at the back of that fuselage, a low profile ducktail rides above factory tail lights, a chrome tag latch, a straight bumper and black exhaust tips which hang in a modified roll pan. Gaze into this Chevy's smooth, body-matched engine bay and you'll find 454 cubic inches of naturally aspirated fury! Unlike those homogenized LS motors, which seem to be the only pro-touring builds getting any respect, this Jet Black big block is a pump gas torque monster that's just as comfortable cruising country roads as it is lining up at stoplights. At the top of the sinister mill, a Holley Street Avenger 4-barrel mixes wind from a chrome, Chevrolet-branded air cleaner with fuel that's pumped through polished fluid lines and a small pressure gauge. That perfect air/fuel mixture flows into an aluminum intake, which is centered between attractive Chevrolet valve covers. At the back of that intake, a modern HEI distributor sequences spark through loomed Maxx Performance plug wires. Below those wires, Hooker Super Competition headers funnel spent gases into a large-diameter, true-dual exhaust system. At the front of those headers, a March accessory drive spins a polished alternator and coated power steering pump opposite a polished AC compressor and coated Edelbrock water pump. In front of that drive, a chrome support anchors a big radiator that's complete with two electric puller fans. And, while this engine's main purpose is to go straight at a very high rate of speed, it's still VERY impressive to look at. Take a gander under this cool F-Body and you'll find a fully detailed chassis that mixes new age technology with old school durability. Thoroughly solid floorpans wear a clean coat of silver two-stage and, save for hours of buffing, are every bit as nice as the car's first rate exterior. At the center of those floors, a proven Turbo-Hydramatic 700R4 4-speed makes good use of a new Moser 9-inch and Randy's Ring and Pinion gears. Stopping is a cinch thanks to sixth generation Corvette binders. Exhaust is handled by a series of 3-inch pipes, which swirl spent gases through chambered Flowmaster mufflers. At the front of the car, modern power steering complements a beefy sway bar and Ridetech coil-over-shocks. At the back of the car, a Martz Chassis 4-link mixes high quality mini tubs with a second set of coil-over-shocks. Torque melts the pavement thanks to multi-spoke Boze wheels, which spin 255/40ZR18 Goodyear Eagle F1s in front of 305/35ZR20 Goodyear Eagle F1s. And, as you can tell by our high resolution photos, not a detail was missed on this Chevy's fully-sorted undercarriage. Open the car's long doors and you'll find a conservative black interior that's stylish and very livable. There's a quartet of leather bucket seats, which were donated by a 2002 Camaro. In front of those seats, a silver-trimmed dash hangs a bright Auto Meter gauges over a Sony CD player and mesh covered vents. At the bottom of that dash, a 2002 Camaro console centers a B&M Quick Silver shifter between fade-free carpet and thick rubber floor mats. Opposite that console, monochromatic door panels hang minimalist hardware over straight, stainless sill plates. Above those panels, a tight headliner stretches past pliable shoulder belts to big Pioneer speakers that are seated in a custom package tray. The driver stays connected to the road through a Momo steering wheel, which spins around a tilting column. And passengers haul cargo in a restored and painted trunk. The sale of this awesome Chevy includes a stack of build receipts and component manuals. One of Detroit's best combinations of performance and style, early second generation Camaros present excellent opportunity for savvy enthusiasts. And, because of their cool aesthetics, split-bumper cars are some of the most desirable F2s on the market. This fully sorted coupe, with its clean restoration and impressive drivetrain, is the kind of old school muscle that can make any enthusiast happy. And for the low asking price of $59,900, it's one heck of a deal! About this auction & rk motors charlotte Please note that all sales are binding and final. [email protected] 5527 Lakeview Road, Charlotte, NC, 28269, US 1968 Chevrolet Camaro SS MacNeish Certified Camaro SS L78 396/375 HP 4 Speed Year: 1968 Type of vehicle title: Clear Primary color: Blue Mileage: 51575 Transmission type: 4 Speed Manual Engine: 396 V8 Interior color: Blue Vehicle info With its original 396 and correct Muncie 4-speed, this cool Camaro isn't some crazy, custom pro-touring marvel.
