With a 21 year production run, Jaguar’s XJS model became the definitive British luxury grand tourer. With the trademark long bonnet, low roof line, and the buttress guarding the rear window. Its drive line remained true to the grand tourer design; front engine sending power to the rear tires. A complete redesign was completed in 1990, most every aspect were changed or re-engineered. The original dark black paint shows very well and accentuates the graceful body lines this Jaguar convertible was designed with. Overall the paint is good condition with only minor imperfections on the driver’s door and front bumper. Every badge and trim piece is in its’ place and are in good condition only showing minor ageing. Both front and rear bumpers are in great condition, no signs of damage; the rubber molding is also in good condition. All four original wheels are in great shape with very little evidence of road wear; the newer BF Goodrich all-season tires have plenty of tread wear left. The black convertible top has been replaced by the previous owner, the material is in fantastic shape with no signs of wear at all. This Jaguar is pure elegance refined! Taking a step inside the Jaguar, both passengers are treated to Britain’s tradition of high quality luxury interiors. Both heated and power seats are covered in black leather, which is in very good condition; other than a very minor tear in the driver’s side bolstering. Typical to Jaguar the real wood trim pieces are in very good condition with minor signs fade. Factory air conditioning still performs its intended purpose and works well boasting recent service. This is my baby and I hate to sell it. It has the right color and brand new wire wheels. It's in perfect running condition. I replace the front shocks and front springs. I have too many cars and not enough inside parking anymore. I am going through some personnel changes right now and want to sell some of my many toys. Here is a beautiful 1991 Collector’s Series XJS ragtop in fire engine red with the rare doe skin interior and a black canvas convertible top.It runs beautifully and smoothly, with 42891 original miles.I am the third owner, having acquired this car in 2008 from an individual seller in South Carolina. The original owner was from Florida.I added the chrome honeycomb rims, the red center caps, and the burl wood steering wheel and gear shift lever, and the chrome badge hood ornament.I installed new tires, a new radiator, new radiator fans and relays, a new heater core, new rubber pieces on the fuel injectors and the exhaust compressor line, a new exhaust system, and had it tuned.The only problem I have never solved is the A/C doesn’t get cold. It’s in the electronic AC control board and I have replaced it once, but most likely the replacement board was defective.The body is straight and in great shape with no rust.The paint is bright and in overall nice condition. There is a 4" vertical scratch roughly down the fore center of the passenger door.The interior is gorgeous except for water damage to the convertible top interior liner (every one of these Jag’s leaked) and the seat bottom skins are showing wear and could be replaced.The V-12 engine purrs an this car runs very smoothly and quietly, a true pleasure to drive.She has been constantly stored in a facility with infrared heating that keeps the air at a dry 50 degrees in the winter. This is a very clean, and much loved, one owner car that is in excellent mechanical and cosmetic condition. The owner leased the car for the first three years and then purchased it at the end of the lease. There are just three small flaws: the right headlight has a horizontal crack running less than halfway across; the left outer tail light is cracked and missing a piece about one inch by one half inch which is taped over; there is what appears to be some moth damage to the carpet on the driver's side which is normally covered by the carpeted floor mat. These are all shown in photos, and despite them this is still a stunning and beautiful car. The car had some minor parking lot damage in 2011 at which point the car was repainted to a high quality standard, and the headlight and tail light cracks are from that time. The car was driven very little since then, and the owner always intended to replace these items eventually, but at this time he has stopped driving and is offering the car for sale. We have serviced this car in our shop since 2008, and since the car has been driven only a little over 2,000 mile since then, it has needed little service, mainly just oil changes and fluid checks; spark plugs and the battery were replaced in 2012. If you are in the market for a very nice, collectible, and fast appreciating car that is a blast to drive, you have to take a look at this car. I am sadly selling our 1989 XJ-SC convertible that car that has been in our family since May of 2001. The car was bought new at Dale Schumacher (British Motor Car Distributors, LTD) in San Francisco, CA on September 15th, 1989. It lived in California until my father in law bought it for my mother in law in 2001. They looked forever for an XJS with this color combination (very hard to find) and options (such as power steering, power brakes, air conditioning, power windows, power door locks, power top, tilt, cruise, leather, CD player, etc). At the time of purchase, the car has just a shade over 62k on the ODO. In the last few years, my father in law has passed and my mother in law can no longer get in and out of the car comfortably. The car has not been driven and just sits in the garage. So, we are finally letting go of it. The car has a clean Oregon title. It has had no accidents, body work, always been stored inside when not in use, and adult driven. In the last 250 miles, we have had the most well-known Jaguar repair shop in the state inspect and repair items from sitting, the Jag Shop of Portland, Oregon. Some of the replaced items include: Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 clean connections for main crankshaft position sensor, repair 2 fuel injector wires, replace brake pads and rotors, repack front wheel bearings, replace loose throttle shaft bushings, adjust linkages, Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 repaired the power steering rack (including rack boots and tower seals), installed a new distributor cap, rotor, spark plugs, and wires. In addition, I just put brand-new tires on the car along with a battery. Knowing potential buyers may be interested in having an inspection on the car, I literally picked it from the shop yesterday (8-3-15) from the Jag Shop where they inspected the car and completed the tune-up. Therefore, this car is ready to drive! Unlike many British cars for sale, this car HAS had the costly repairs done professionally. Why buy a different car and then spend another few thousand on repairs of suggested maintenance? The body and paint on the car is very good. The paint shines well and definitely is an eye-catcher. It does have a few minor scratches and minor door dings as expected from a 26 year old car. However, they are barely noticeable due to the forgiving white paint. Meanwhile, the red interior is in very nice shape. The wood grain is excellent as is the dash. The seats have some wear but look and feel nice. The doors open and close well and do not sag. I put new shocks on the hood and it works excellent. The tires and brakes are new. The wheels could use some cleaning but present well. Lastly, the convertible top is free of rips or tears. Hello, You are viewing my 1993 Jaguar XJS Convertible with an ultra rare 5 Speed Manual Transmission ( only 30 coupes and 70 roadsters were imported with a factory installed 5-speed manual transmission with a 4.0 liter engine). This car has been garaged most of its life and it shows! A true collectors investment opportunity, that is in original condition that is well maintained and looks great. The Black paint in very good condition with a nice shine. It does have some chips/scratches and small dings. Very presentable for being that it is a 22 years old. No rust that I can find!! The tan leather interior is in good, presentable condition. No rips or tears (slight wear on drivers bolster). The dash (no cracks), wood (some cracking), door panels (very nice), headliner and carpet are also very nice (could use a cleaning). Mechanically the car is EXCELLENT!!!!!!! Runs (no smoke, starts fast and runs cool), drives and shifts (no slipping or grinding) perfect with no warning lights on. Power windows and power top work perfect (just replaced rear window regulator). Everything works as it should. The heat blows hot and the air conditioner blows cool (has a freon leak, compressor works)). Tires and wire wheels are excellent. Wind screen has a one long crack down the middle of it. Offered for sale is a lovely 1990 Jaguar XJS V-12. This car has had three prior owners, and its condition attests that it has always been cared for and maintained. Never rusted, no accidents (clean carfax). One repaint about seven or eight years ago was well done but shows some touch ups. The most significant are a deep scratch on the top of the passenger front fender, and a light crease along the driver front fender side, both of which are touched up but are visible on close inspection. The interior is all original and quite lovely. Excellent top; headliner shows some deterioration. Minor wear on the driver’s seat bolster; otherwise the leather is supple and quite nice. Excellent dash and instruments. All in all a very clean, very presentable driver, not a concourse car, but certainly showable. And it is an excellent driving car; starts instantly, runs smooth and cool. Starts, stops and handles just as it should. A great pleasure to drive.
