Hello, You are bidding on my wife's 1992 XJS Jaguar V12 convertible. We've owned it for more than two years and have thoroughly enjoyed riding around in this car and traveling on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Turns lots of heads and is admired by all wherever we drive it. We've decided to part with it to raise funds for renovations on the home. My wife is not really a car person, but this one all but converted her! When I bought it, it hadn't been driven that much by the previous owners so it needed shocks and struts. I had the plugs replaced, new ignition wires, rotor and cap. A/C was charged up and serviced. That work along was over $2,200. I used synthetic oil since we don't put that many miles on it. I took the stock radio out and replaced with a blue tooth enabled radio for safety. My wife needed cup holders so I took the useless ashtrays out and replaced them with really neat cup holders. Ash trays and the old stock radio go with the car. I had the car inspected in March and they advised me to put new pads on the front and replace the tires due to age of them. So, the tires have only about 500 miles on them! Interior has no tears, no stains or funny smells. There is some minor wear on the driver's side bolster but it's just the finish of the leather, there are no holes or cracks. Everything works and the car starts and runs excellent, in the heat of summer or the dead of winter. The top works flawlessly and is in great condition, no tears and no leaks. The pictures and videos will show the original paint as looking great for it's age but there are a few minor nicks and light clear coat scratches, but this car does not need to be painted. I did pay a professional to remove as many dents and dings as reasonably possible so the body really is in nice shape overall. There is no rust anywhere in the body, frame, floors, none and never has been. Never been wrecked or repaired, no bondo and the chrome is bright as well. I welcome you to view the car in person and actually encourage you take it for a ride. We're in no hurry to sell, so please be respectful when providing offers if you haven't seen the car in person. Offered for sale is a lovely 1990 Jaguar XJS V-12. This car has had three prior owners, and its condition attests that it has always been cared for and maintained. Never rusted, no accidents (clean carfax). One repaint about seven or eight years ago was well done but shows some touch ups. The most significant are a deep scratch on the top of the passenger front fender, and a light crease along the driver front fender side, both of which are touched up but are visible on close inspection. The interior is all original and quite lovely. Excellent top; headliner shows some deterioration. Minor wear on the driver’s seat bolster; otherwise the leather is supple and quite nice. Excellent dash and instruments. All in all a very clean, very presentable driver, not a concourse car, but certainly showable. And it is an excellent driving car; starts instantly, runs smooth and cool. Starts, stops and handles just as it should. A great pleasure to drive. I have spent over $7,000 in the past two years bringing this Jag up to proper mechanical condition, including: New tiresNew front chin spoilerTune and fluids, including throttle bushing cleaningNew batteryNew brakes all around including new real stainless steel calipersRebuilt emergency brake works properlyCompletely rebuilt top hydraulics including rebuilt ramsNew resonators, front catalytic converters, CT emissions certifiedAll bills and receipts available. If you are in the market for a very nice, collectible, and fast appreciating car that is a blast to drive, you have to take a look at this car. I am sadly selling our 1989 XJ-SC convertible that car that has been in our family since May of 2001. The car was bought new at Dale Schumacher (British Motor Car Distributors, LTD) in San Francisco, CA on September 15th, 1989. It lived in California until my father in law bought it for my mother in law in 2001. They looked forever for an XJS with this color combination (very hard to find) and options (such as power steering, power brakes, air conditioning, power windows, power door locks, power top, tilt, cruise, leather, CD player, etc). At the time of purchase, the car has just a shade over 62k on the ODO. In the last few years, my father in law has passed and my mother in law can no longer get in and out of the car comfortably. The car has not been driven and just sits in the garage. So, we are finally letting go of it. The car has a clean Oregon title. It has had no accidents, body work, always been stored inside when not in use, and adult driven. In the last 250 miles, we have had the most well-known Jaguar repair shop in the state inspect and repair items from sitting, the Jag Shop of Portland, Oregon. Some of the replaced items include: Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 clean connections for main crankshaft position sensor, repair 2 fuel injector wires, replace brake pads and rotors, repack front wheel bearings, replace loose throttle shaft bushings, adjust linkages, Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 repaired the power steering rack (including rack boots and tower seals), installed a new distributor cap, rotor, spark plugs, and wires. In addition, I just put brand-new tires on the car along with a battery. Knowing potential buyers may be interested in having an inspection on the car, I literally picked it from the shop yesterday (8-3-15) from the Jag Shop where they inspected the car and completed the tune-up. Therefore, this car is ready to drive! Unlike many British cars for sale, this car HAS had the costly repairs done professionally. Why buy a different car and then spend another few thousand on repairs of suggested maintenance? The body and paint on the car is very good. The paint shines well and definitely is an eye-catcher. It does have a few minor scratches and minor door dings as expected from a 26 year old car. However, they are barely noticeable due to the forgiving white paint. Meanwhile, the red interior is in very nice shape. The wood grain is excellent as is the dash. The seats have some wear but look and feel nice. The doors open and close well and do not sag. I put new shocks on the hood and it works excellent. The tires and brakes are new. The wheels could use some cleaning but present well. Lastly, the convertible top is free of rips or tears. this is a classic and the value of these cars will continue to go up .. these cars are beginning to get hard to find.this is a really nice car.this was my grandmothers car ..she loved this car more than you can imagine this thing was her baby .. she has owned this car for over 12-13 years (not sure exact ) she always kept this car in the garage up until about a year and a half ago ..when the car was left to my dad.she always kept the car maintained and only drove it in nice weather she had a new top put on 4-5 years ago but it still looks new.we have the matching top cover in the trunk also have a matching spare.this car has cold ac and cruise control.power windows and locks everything on this car works except the gas gauge and oil pressure gauge recently stopped working correctly. all of the other gauges work pretty common issue with these cars the interior is in really good shape for the year but not new.we had the ps seat bottom replaced ..the seat looks good but is not a perfect match I will post some pics of it.. the wood around the shifter was cracking so we had it replaced with black leather .. it looks good .. as i said before this was my grandmothers car i really hope it goes to a good home its no so much about the money as it is the car going to someone that appreciates it..
