1963 Jaguar XKE Roadster Import Classic. 3.8 Liter 6 cylinder engine - Independent coil spring rear suspension with torsion bar front end- Four wheel power disc brakes- Glass covered headlights- Leather tuck and roll bucket seats- Vinyl and leather center instrument panel and console- Moss four speed gearbox that lacks synchromesh for first gear referred to as a Moss box- Manual transmission- Custom Jaguar roadster convertible - Eight to one compression- Domed pistons with 4.2 intake 3 su 8s carb - Fairly hyper rebuilt in the 1980s with less than 600 miles on the rebuild- Garaged all the time- Same owner 42 years- Toured Europe has perm- Euro plates still on back current plates are E Type- Many spare parts many.. See below for history.- Series 1 1961 thru 1968- The Series 1 was introduced initially for export only in March 1961. - The domestic market launch came four months later in July 1961.- The cars at this time used the triple SU carburetted 3.8 litre six cylinder Jaguar XK6 engine from the XK150S. - Very earlier built cars utilized external bonnet latches which required a tool to open and had a flat floor design.- These cars are rare and more valuable. After that the floors were dished to provide more leg room and the twin hood latches moved to inside the car.
