The Jensen-Healey was produced from 1972 through 1976 with around 10,000 examples produced. It was a two-door roadster with seating for two and designed by Donald Healey, his son Geoffery, William Towns and Jensen Motors. Jensen Motors had built the bodies for the wildly popular Austin-Healey 3000. When production of the 3000 ceased, a new product was needed. Thus, the Jensen-Healey project. During development, many engines were fitted and tested, but it was the Lotus 907 unit that made it into production. The Lotus engine was new and untested, but did offer 144 horsepower from its dual overhead cam, 16-valve all-alloy setup. A four-speed manual was used. Numerous small details under the hood include viscous fan clutch on radiator fan, new upper radiator hose intake from water pump to radiator arrangement, catayltic converter and additional "improved" exhaust emmission package. The Mark II, also known as the JH5, was introduced in August of 1973 and produced until August of 1975 with a total of 7142 vehicles produced. There is no offical VIN or month cut off for the JH5, earliest sightings are commission dates of Dec. '74. Factory build cards offer no clue to when or why JH5 models exist. These Jensen Healeys were very expensive and mechanically advanced for their time. The car is powered by an all alloy twin cam four valve Lotus 907 engine that went on to be used in the Lotus Esprit. This 907 engine is one of the first production car 4 valve engines to use a timing belt for cam operation and has potential for high power output when modified. Joe Huffaker won a national SCCA championship for Jensen Healey and reportedly easily got 250hp out of the Lotus two liter power plant. NOW lets get to what you came here to see. There are two JL audio amplifiers hidden in the vehicle, one power and frequency matched to the 10 pioneer speakers, while the second amplifier is matched and dedicated to the twin MTX Subwoofers hidden in a custom enclosure. Once theyre buttoned up, youd never know they existed. The head unit plays DVDs (the motion lock was bypassed so they can be played while the vehicle is in motion). It also plays just about any format audio you can think of. The 20 band grahic equalizer and full touchscreen controls are a lot of fun to use. Bluetooth phone, Navigation and multiple inputs make it extremely versatile. The bed liner is super sturdy... never used it for much other than some drywall, but it looks great and protects the bed. Not merely assembled, but rather built with an eye towards making even the little stuff look right, it's gorgeous to look at and wonderful to drive. Combined with a great color and interior choice, it makes for a slick hauler that can take home trophies or cruise cross-country equally well. This truck goes way beyond simple hauler, and even back in the '50s, Chevy revolutionized the industry with the crazy idea that workmen wanted attractive vehicles, too. So while a lot of them got worked right into the ground, this handsome pickup received a full rejuvenation that includes a few skillfully shaved bits and a lot of hand work to make it smooth and shiny. Fit and finish are quite good overall, and the electric blue paint was done a few years ago and is still in good shape with only minor signs of use. A chrome grille was fitted up front, and who can argue with how cool it looks? The windows were given a light tint to accentuate the street rod stance, and the bed was fully rebuilt with fresh wood, polished stainless rub rails, and a stainless steel fuel tank up front, getting it safely out of the cab. Add in smooth 1-piece bumpers, cool side trim on the fenders, and bright white CHEVROLET block letters on the tailgate, and you have a truck that creates a stir everywhere it goes. With the original truck sporting vinyl and rubber and steel interior materials, the makeover gives it a much softer, friendlier demeanor. A reshaped and very comfortable bench seat has been wrapped in custom foam and smooth black leather upholstery, which uses a period pleated pattern to replicate a 1950s vibe. Custom black carpets look great and help control noise and heat and the door panels are properly finished with body-colored paint and cool oak sills that warm things up a bit. The dashboard, even when it was stock, was striking in a pickup truck and has now been refined, with the original gauge cluster replaced by a trick Dakota Digital setup that totally makes the interior. You'll also not custom tricks like cup holders built into the center arm rest, a Jensen 7-inch flip-out TV with Infinity speakers in the kick panels, and a wood-rimmed wheel that's about the same color as the door sills. A/C is very cleverly installed under the dash, tucking the vents out of sight so they don't attract a lot of attention. As you can see, no detail was left to chance. The engine is a powerful 350 cubic inch V8, now making somewhere north of 400 horsepower. Additions include a polished Edelbrock intake manifold and matching 4-barrel carburetor, long-tube headers, and, of course, the finned Edelbrock valve covers and air cleaner. There's a big aluminum radiator up front to keep things cool and the accessories are tucked in close to the block and spun by a serpentine belt setup. Backed by a TH400 3-speed automatic transmission and a 12-bolt rear with 3.55 gears inside, it's a superlative highway cruiser that's still punchy around town. Up front there's a giant sway bar and power disc brakes, plus power steering and a custom dual exhaust system with throaty mufflers sounds suitably performance-oriented. The stance is just about perfect, with a lot of the credit going to the polished Torque Thrust wheels and 235/70/15 Goodyear radials. A gorgeous truck from long-term ownership, this beautifully built and nicely documented (we have a ton of receipts) Chevy delivers in every sense of the word. This is an F Program 911 Targa which is one of about 925 manufactured for the 1973 model year (about the same number of 2.4L 911S Targas were produced in MY 1972). The ‘S’ engine had Mechanical Fuel Injection, a 8.5:1 compression ratio, and produced 190hp. Options include the rare 110L plastic fuel tank (from the RS), Sports Seats, and Blaupunkt Frankfurt Radio. This is a numbers matching, fully documented vehicle with one quality repaint (in 1983). The car has only had two owners, the second, a Calgary eye doctor, for the last 40 years. The maintenance on this car is virtually complete, and transcribed below, dating back to 1974 in Germany, where the car was originally delivered to the first owner, Horst Dieter Muller, who listed his address as Oasis de Nazaret – a resort town in Spain. After a top-end rebuild of the engine by Ludwig Gerstenmair-a Porsche dealer in Baden-Baden, in July 1974 at 22,700km, he imported the car to Canada. The story relayed to the second owner was that Horst was not happy that his car would not reach 250km/hr on the Autobahn as promised, and he made the dealer take it back and rectify the problem-which was found to be a valvetrain issue. He sold the car in 1976 in Alberta Canada with about 25,000 km and the next 70,000km were covered in summer weather in Canada. In Calgary, the car was serviced by Select Auto, a dealer for Ferrari and Rolls Royce, and the engine and fuel injection system was rebuilt by them in August 1985 at approximately 75,000km and at a cost of $10,924. The owner of Select Motors, John Chorney’ s name is on all the invoices and telexes (!), and he is still around and currently finishing pre-war Rolls Royce Phantom 1 restoration, and is a patient of the 2nd owner. Subsequent work on the car was performed by Riegel Tuning and Alpine Autowerks. The car was treated to a quality repaint in its original colour of Metallic Green (230) by Cosmos Collision in 1983 ($2,935). Cosmos is currently the ‘Approved’ bodyshop for Porsche Centre Calgary, and both Riegel and Alpine are still in business and located a few blocks away from Porsche Calgary. I use all three business currently for my own classics. The point being that the car is a fully documented well-known local car, worked on by the best people in the city. The car has never been rusted, damaged or modified apart from the Jensen Stereo which was installed in the 80’s, and has since been replaced with the original Blaupunkt. The car still has the original body panels, floor pans with the original factory coatings. The car is spectacular to drive. I just can’t say enough about it other than it imparts deep feelings of mechanical satisfaction and joy! It starts up and idles beautifully, and revs cleanly throughout the rev range with no driveability issues. This is a quick car with strong low end torque that gets quite fierce over 4,000rpm. It has a gorgeous soundtrack, nimble chassis and talkative steering and has by far the best shifting 915 transmission (never rebuilt) I’ve ever sampled with virtually no sloppiness, and a very precise action. Like I said it is an absolute joy. Condition wise the car is hard to fault. It is a well-kept, original car that has been looked after and driven. There are some minor stone chips, a couple very small scratches, and slight windscreen pits. The engine bay is tidy and clean, but not ‘detailed’. I believe that there should be a chrome surround to the original radio which is not there. The Fuchs alloys have some faded paint. There are two service issues which we are addressing at present; one is the windshield washer motor needs to be replaced, and a cable to the heat exchangers looks to be broken. These will be fixed before sale. 1937 Ford Truck Over $110k build, this truck is a steal at this price. It was just completed a couple of months ago, so it is literally all-new. The 4.6 mod motor and 70 mm turbo dyno'd at 467 hp at the wheels. This truck weighs just over 2600 lbs, so the power-to-weight ratio is crazy. We have built a lot of cars and trucks over the years and this one is, by far, the nicest one yet. So many cool features like AC with auto temp control, touch screen audio, hidden switches, and storage areas. I enjoy driving this truck more than most of our muscle and pro-touring cars.Read on... It took 3 ½ years and hundreds of hours of labor for Reasonable Rides and Rods to build this one of a kind 1937 Ford Truck. Starting as a roller, this truck was painstakingly built into a show quality and extremely potent street rod. If Ford started producing new 1937 trucks, this would be their prototype. We have built a lot of cars and trucks, and this is one of the nicest ones yet. It's a Ford powered by a Ford and titled as a 1937 Ford Truck. We are very motivated to sell this great truck. Make an offer, but have your funds available. Body/Paint The body is a Downs Manufacturing 1937 Ford Truck. The bed and tailgate are steel. Each panel was meticulously worked prior to paint. The rear fenders were widened 3 inches to handle a much wider tire. The running boards were modified to accommodate the wider fenders. This approach was taken rather than tubbing the truck to keep the wider stance for driving quality. Every piece and panel was painted individually before assembling the truck. American Body Works applied the classic Grabber Blue paint and custom Ford script on the tailgate. The hood is a custom tilt-forward hood for access to the engine. The wood in the bed is black and has been clear-coated with stainless steel strips. The paint is flawless and show quality. It’s a timeless color that will never go out of style. Engine/Trans The engine in this truck is a new 2004 Ford 4.6 SOHC mod motor. It came directly from Ford and had 0 miles prior to install. While potent enough in NA form for this light vehicle, it has a slight twist to it…it’s Turbocharged! A one-off custom rear mount 70mm turbo pushes a conservative 7 lbs of boost. This is not someone’s kit, but rather a hand built turbo system made to compliment the other modifications to the engine. The cams are mild upgrades from stock and work well with the turbo. The original factory fuel injection was eliminated and a Professional Products Powerjection III unit was installed on top of a Edelbrock intake. This gives it the look of an “old school” carbureted truck, with the performance of fuel injection. The Powerjection III can handle up to 20 lbs of boost and has upgraded injectors to handle the boost. The Powerjection III and MSD controller have been custom tuned with the correct spark curve and fuel curves for this beast. All of the components complement each other well and this truck is incredibly fast. The transmission is a new 4R75W overdrive automatic. It utilizes an Optishift controller that has fully adjustable shift points. The combination of overdrive and 3.70 rear gears makes driving the truck in town or on a long trip very pleasurable. Suspension A custom built frame is the base for the truck. The front suspension is a Mustang II style with tubular upper and lower control arms combined with QA1 coil-over shocks that are fully adjustable. A power rack handles the steering. The rear suspension is a 4-link set up with a bullet-proof 9 inch rear end with 3.70 gears. The rear shocks are QA1 coil-over units as well. We decided against an air bag suspension for ride quality, although the stance is still fully adjustable. The brakes are power disc around and it stops on a dime. Interior The interior is a combination of black leather and suede. Low back bucket seats were custom stitched and fit perfectly in the interior. To give it that classic look, the seat inserts and door panels are diamond stich suede with blue thread. The dash is covered with leather along with the custom console. Door and window switches are hidden in a sliding panel in the console. The headliner is full suede from the front of the cab to behind the rear seats. A Jensen touch screen head unit is installed with front kick speakers and a 10 inch sub mounted in a custom storage compartment behind the seats. The gauges are AutoMeter Street Rod Series. The shifter is a Lokar short shifter and the overdrive button is located in the console. The Vintage Air system is controlled by an auto temperature control unit from Dakota Digital. There are many custom features to the interior. Tire/Wheels The truck rides on 18 inch Boyd’s with Nitto 215/35-18 front tires and 295/45-18 rear tires. Overall You won’t find a nicer street rod than this 1937 Ford. The truck is titled as a 1937 Ford and is a clear Texas title. It has fantastic street manors and can be driven anywhere. Take the guy who built this 1984 Jeep CJ7 Laredo, which carries a lot of off-road gear, a potent 360 cubic inch V8, and a long list of options including A/C. It's one of the nicer ones we've featured and it looks fantastic. If you've been watching our inventory lately, you already know that these vintage Jeeps, especially built like this, just don't stick around very long. The vivid red paint job was finished in 2014, and it looks spectacular. We worry about Jeeps when they're this nice, because the new owner might be afraid to play in the dirt with it, and that would be a shame. So while it's clean and shiny, take a look at the straight bodywork, including all the reproduction Laredo decals that still look great after all these years. Then there's the solid body tub, rubber flares over the giant tires, and that Warn winch up front which has never been used. Lots of chrome details, ranging from the grille surround to the front and rear bumpers, as well as the twin exhaust pipes out back give it a lot of sparkle that will still show up when the Jeep's out in the brush playing. The paint itself is two-stage urethane, which is durable enough for the rough stuff, and shines up beautifully just by hosing it off. Clearly someone did it right when they put this one together. Jeep interiors have always been about function over form, and for utilitarian good looks, they've perfected the formula. Clearly this one was intended for serious fun off-road, which explains the form-fitting Bestop front buckets. It's still got that hardcore Jeep look that's 100% functional, but basic doesn't mean stripped, as there's spray-on bedliner material on the floor instead of the usual rubber mat and a powerful Jensen AM/FM/CD stereo with 4-inch speakers in the dash and 6x9s back that actually sound pretty darned good. The instrument panel and control layout is pretty close to what you got back in the early days of the Jeep brand, but if it works, why change it? There's also under-dash A/C and you can put it to use because the hardtop and steel doors seal up well enough to make this your daily driver. In 1984, nobody was making big horsepower, so the original engine in this Jeep was jettisoned and replaced by a sweet-running 360 cubic inch AMC V8. With the usual upgrades including an Edelbrock carb and intake and a set of Hedman long-tube headers dumping into a 3-inch exhaust system, it has plenty of power to get this Jeep just about anywhere. It also wears plenty of chrome dress-up, and shows tidy workmanship throughout, although the A/C compressor and power steering pump seem to dominate the engine bay. It's backed by a 4-speed manual gearbox and the original transfer case and axles, which hardly need an upgrade. And like many of its siblings, this CJ wears 15-inch chrome wheels with positively massive 31x10.5-15 Goodyear Wrangler off-road radials. These classic CJs will not be getting cheaper, and if you like to play in the dirt, this one is an option-laden solution that's ready to rock today.
