It has had one repaint and looks nice. The interior is original, the seats, dash pad, sun visors, vinyl floor mat, and center console are in amazing condition. We have the original sales invoice, owners manual, and some of the records that seem to verify the low miles. The body is solid and straight. The frame is solid, the floors are in very good condition with minimal rust on a seam in the drivers front floor (see photo listed in the ad). The Convertible top is new, all the trim pieces are there, but the installation needs to be finished by a professional. The Dauntless V6 starts right up and runs well. Just tuned up, wheel bearings packed, new gas tank, fuel lines, fuel pump and filter just installed. The Jeep starts, stops, and goes down the road very nicely. But this 1967 Jeep Gladiator J2000 is not one of those trailer queen hot rods in disguise. Jeep is the original American 4x4, and this truck represents a full-size pickup with a go-anywhere attitude. The appearance of the Gladiator is quite an attractive one. It has an unmistakable Jeep lineage with its resemblance to the related Waggoneers, but this pickup still retains its own unique flair. That's why people will love them at the car shows, even if they've never seen one before. This Gladiator is particularly nice with its two-tone Ivy Green Metallic and silver paint. This short wheelbase J2000 model has an imposing blocky stance, and its creased sheetmetal even translates nicely on the stylieside truck bed (a rare option that was eliminated after 1967.) In fact, if you got this stepside from Ford or Chevy during this time, the bed floor made of wood. Instead, this ready-to-work, military-grade Jeep has strong steel reinforcing it. The interior feels quite nice thanks to the tan bench seat, door panels, insulation, and carpeting all being refreshed over this pickup's lifetime. It gives this Jeep a bright and isolated feeling that's nice in a vintage truck. There's even an air conditioning system running modern R-134a to keep you comfortable. But don't mistake these features for coddling. This Gladiator's get-it-done attitude still shines through with its full set of auxiliary gauges, including large tachometer to monitor the four-speed manual transmission. Despite Kaiser owning Jeep during this time, they were already foreshadowing AMC ownership with the optional 327 cubic-inch Vigilante V8. This lone-wolf name seemed to suit the motor quite well as it has enough torque to get itself into or out of nearly any situation. The standard 4x4 system is the backbone of Jeep's reputation, and why these trucks were the choice for government duty. It includes a Dana 20 transfer case and Dana 44 front and rear axles from the factory. This means bulletproof performance that is still easy to service today. AMC also improved manufacturing efficiency and lowered costs by incorporating shared components such as engines. Reducing noise, vibration, and harshness improved the Wagoneer driving experience.Starting in the 1986 model year, the Grand Wagoneer received a new four part front grille and a stand-up hood ornament. However, the most significant change was the installation of a fully revamped interior. Changes were made to the instrument panel that now featured square gauges, wood grain overlays and contained an improved climate control system. The Select-Trac driveline gained a new Trac-Lok limited slip differential to send power to the wheel with the best traction. The awesome 360ci V8 is super strong, runs great and is ready for any adventure. This Jeep has traveled the country behind its former owner’s RV by means of a tow bar, which is included. It has been meticulously maintained and loved over the years. Best of all, this Jeep has been a Southern California truck all of its life and is as sound as they get, with no rust that we have found. These trucks are sure to be future collectors and they already have a huge following!This particular Jeep Grand Wagoneer is of the “woody” variety. The bronze paint appears to be original as its age shows, particularly on the hood but overall, it shows well. The wood paneling on the sides and rear look great, show no signs of cracking and accents the paint wonderfully. Both front and rear bumpers look equally as nice with no major blemishes to speak of. The chrome is in good shape and only shows minor imperfections around the center of the grill. All the glass is in great condition with no cracks.The interior looks great. The seats are wrapped in saddle leather with cloth inserts. The driver’s seat does show wear to the seat cushion and bolster. All other seats look excellent with no major wear to be found. The driver’s seat is power and works with no problems. The windows, locks, mirrors, steering and brakes are all power as well. It is factory equipped with A/C and it blows cold. The original gauges are also in working order and look great.The legendary 5.9L, 360ci V8 runs great with no problems. The motor is nicely detailed and looks to be in original condition. With a turn of the key the truck starts right up with no hesitation. Mated to the engine is an automatic transmission. On the road, the ride is nice and smooth. It should be noted that the transfer case was replaced in 2007 and the four wheel drive is functional! It sits upon a set of 15” 8-punch alloy wheels wrapped in LT 235/75R15 tires with aggressive tread.
