I was driving him until I recently received a repair order for his exhaust. :( Unfortunately my father and I have too many projects going on to continue to give him the love and attention he needs. The sale will be in cash with a local pickup in Arnold, MD.As an added bonus I think he as a mostly full tank of gas as well.He does not look as shiny as he does in the pictures, I washed him before taking the pictures (he had tree gunk on him). My father (the mechanical one) formulated the description below.1995 VW Jetta Mark III, 2.0, Auto Transmission, 178,000 miles. Needs significant work or use for parts. The good, the bad, the ugly.The good. Engine starts right up. Put on a new timing belt, timing belt tensioner pulley and bearing, and a new serpentine belt tensioner pulley less than 200 miles ago. Recently fixed the heater control doors so the car makes good heat. Interior is in decent shape for its age, not smoked in. One spot on the driver’s seat where the fabric wore through. Recently put on some used, low mileage front struts to replace original units when the springs broke a coil near the bottom. Good glass all around. Replaced the starter about 500 miles ago. Recently replaced both the driver and passenger door handles and locks. The tires on the steelie wheels are fair. The bad. Drive train just started making a growling noise (bearing?) that changes with road speed. Slow leak from the radiator on the left side. Needs new exhaust from the cat back. The air conditioning used to work until the high pressure port started leaking refrigerant about a year ago. System could be charged, then put on a good dust cap with an O-ring seal. The ugly. It is a faded red color. Paint is chipping off of the front bumper cover. It appears a previous owner replaced the hood due to an earlier minor accident and the crappy paint job is flaking off.
