An excellent example of a true survivor VW! This 1972 Beetle runs and drives as it good as it looks, with under 39,000 original miles. Equipped with an AutoStick transmission, the car rides wonderfully and shifts smoothly through gears. Engine runs strong and never stalls. Being an original 43 year old automobile, the car shows a few minor signs of age, including: Sparkomatic AM/FM stereo has bad reception, windshield is whitening around edges, rear bumper has minor dents, rubber seals around all the glass shows expected deterioration, drivers seat has a rip on the top of the seat, passenger seat has a small tear, dent on passenger front fender, surface rust below engine bay cover, upholstery shows past water damage below the rear window. 1981 Mercedes-Benz 380SL108,2xx milesHard top onlyI just drove this car to the coast this past weekend (400 miles round trip) without issue.It runs and drives great, but isn't without faults:- A/C works intermittently- Heat inoperable- Radio tuner won't tune- Brake sensor light will sometimes illuminate- Needs front struts- There is a scratch over the passenger side front wheel. There are a few marks on the body below the rear of the hardtop. These areas are photographed in detail below.I purchased a Car Fax report which shows zero accidents. With that being said, the rear bumper is not straight - see images.I purchased this car from a Mercedes-Benz dealer who took it in on trade. I was able to contact the previous owner who advised me he purchased it in 1985. He had the timing belt replaced in 2008. I have no service records.See each image for detailed views. 1940 Buick Century Sedan. This car is in need of full restoration or use for parts. There is not title with this car. It is mostly complete, minus engine, trans, and grill shell. This was a personal project that I never had the time to get to and would rather see it go to someone with the time to complete it or use the parts. The body is in good shape for the age and is pretty solid over all with a small amount of rust in the rockers and tail pan. The interior is in need of full restoration but the interior trim is there. The exterior is pretty straight, the roof had some surface rust showing up so it was stripped, cleaned, phosphate treated for rust, and then sealed in an epoxy primer a couple years back. There is a small amount of surface rust bleeding back through but over all the roof is preserved. The car has dual side mount fenders but does not have the lids for them. The fenders are in great shape. The trim for the car is pictured, some of it could be cleaned up and polished while some will need to be re-chromed. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. If the car is purchased, I do have a commercial sandblasting setup and can clean car up for an additional fee.
