My ex brother in law passed away last year and this was his car. His only son lives out of state so I acquired this vehicle to sell it for him. I have only driven the car about 50 miles and it has always run nice and has lots of power. It is smooth and quiet going down the road. The body is very nice with a few imperfections. There is a small paint scab on deck lid and the rear bumper is cracked on the right side and slightly loose. The left door panel is loose at the bottom. The air conditioning cover under the hood is cracked and taped with duct tape, but does not seem to affect the operation of the heat or air. As far as I can tell all the accessories are working at this time. I have never changed the oil and it is pretty clean and the antifreeze is up near the top. I have only looked under this vehicle from the ground and can not see anything but normal wear and rust from a 2002 vehicle. The ABS light is erratic and comes on at times. I was told that a rear wheel bearing is acting up with a speed senor on it. It does not seem to affect the operation of the vehicle. The Michelin tires are worn and cracked, but the car ride and drives very smooth with them, but they will need replaced in the near future. Overall this is a nice average - above average vehicle. I am telling you what I know about the vehicle. It seems to have a good drive train and drives like it should. My brother in law bought this vehicle in 2012 for $8000. It was a extremely clean car then but has been stored outside the last few years, but still has decent paint. I have had issues getting insurance on this vehicle and need to move it ASAP. Also has original its original born with 12 bolt rear end with a stamp of CW 11 21 B ratio is 3:31 open, car ,by the trim tag is a original bench seat four speed car. Car by trim tag is originally Cortez silver with a black vinyl top. But the black exterior and buckets and console present well. paint is older but still shines and looks good does have a flaw on drivers side taillight housing, easy touch up. The engine is not the original to car but is a 1972 402 that has been fully rebuilt 30 over balanced rotating assembly by professional shop back in 2006 but not a whole lot of miles on. Engine runs very nice and strong, great cruiser, has factory disc brakes as true SS cars do and car was built in Kansas plant as most SS cars were. The front bumper filler on the driver side is cracked, but not broken. There is a small dent over the front wheel fender on the passenger side. Other than that the body is very nice. I do not see any rust and the paint still looks very good. It starts right up and runs great. The ride is very smooth and comfortable. The odometer reads 28,509 (it is 128,509) but I have maintenance records that show the engine was professionally replaced in 1999 when the vehicle had 102,500 miles. So this engine only has 26,000 miles on it. The interior really looks great. The Leather is in very nice condition and the doors and dash look great too! This would make a great everyday car or could easily be fixed up to be a classic!
