NOTICE: This is being re-listed because of a non paying bidder. Remember you are agreeing to a binding contract when you bid. In the future I will be pursuing all remedies available to me for damages incurred from non paying bidders. At long last I have come to the realization that I must thin down my car collection/ private museum. Reluctantly, I am parting with some of my nice old cars. This is a very rare 1979 Chevrolet El Camino SS that is equipped with the Royal Knight package, 305 4bbl V8, and the ultra rare combination of 4spd manual transmission with factory A/C! This El Camino is also equipped with PS, PB, Rally wheels, dual exhaust, posi rear end, and CD player. It was originally from Missouri, and has not been winter driven. Very clean both top and bottom. Not scaly or rusted out. Has a great looking straight body! This truck was refurbished about 10 years ago. It was stripped and painted in original black with new correct decal kit, engine rebuilt, new clutch, dual exhaust, A/C rebuilt and nice and cold, new tires, belts, hoses, etc. Fun car to drive! It has great power, gets good gas mileage, and sounds great! Really turns heads! Car comes with a nice binder full of documents and factory data. Also have nice display poster with original advertising for Royal Knight, which was a special option on the El Camino SS series. Top of the line for that year. Originally these were called Black Knights, but GM had to change the name to Royal Knight due to a copyright infringement lawsuit filed against them. This is actually quite rare as best we can determine from literature and research on line. It appears that a couple thousand Royal Knights were made, with only a couple hundred being 4 speeds, and I would venture to say few of that number also having A/C. Here is a real opportunity to own a very rare, unique, and fun to drive collector vehicle at a VERY reasonable price. If someone GAVE you a "project car" for free you could not make it into this car for what you will pay here! Offered for far less than what was invested in it! Don't miss it!
