For Sale here is an EXTREMELY clean 1988 Porsche 924S. It has 26K miles showing and the title says Exceeds Mechanical Limits and the odometer is working. It is factory equipped with leather interior which is almost flawless for 26 year old car. It has AC and it does work, the heat also works along with the power windows and passenger side power mirror. I cannot figure how to open the sunroof but it does have one. It is missing the radio and antenna, the gas tank was dropped and cleaned along with the lines and fuel pump was cleaned. The paint has no rust anywhere no scratches and only a few rock chips and minor dents. There are no signs of rust repair and I have looked up on a lift. It runs great and it is a rare automatic which has new fluid in it along with a fresh synthetic oil change. The tires are like new all have about the same wear. The lights work and come into place correct. The car runs and drives nice, it is bone stock. No check engine lights or mechanical issues. The car is 26 years old so things like the hydraulic shocks on the rear hatch and hood need replacing and the wiper blades. This is a used car and is being offered with no expressed or implied warranty The Porsche 924 was a luxury sports car produced by Porsche AG of Germany from 1976 to 1988. A two-door, 2+2 coupé, the 924 replaced the 914 as the company's entry-level model, and was the model that finally retired the 912. In production terms, the 924 was the first Porsche model powered by a water-cooled, front-mounted engine although the similarly configured 928 was designed first. The front-engine, rear wheel drive arrangement was normal for most other manufacturers, but it was unusual for Porsche having previously only used mid- or rear-mounted engines of a boxer configuration, all of which had been air-cooled. It was the first Porsche to be offered with a fully automatic transmission. The first official appearance of the 924 took place in November 1975 (as a press launch rather than a motorshow appearance) at the harbour at La Grande Motte, Camargue in the south of France. The model was a success with just over 150,000 produced (from 1977-1988), and it not only helped to take Porsche out of financial ruin, but created the revenue stream needed to continue building and developing the 911.
