Now...if you love the look of the fastback and always wanted a Shelby and couldnt afford it this might be your chance. First off this car is bone stock....it runs perfect. You can reach in the window and will start right up and ready to go. Car drives down the highway nice and steers and stops like it should. It has plenty of power and will spin the tires all day long if you so desire. The running gear was all rebuilt new 5 years ago....the paint is about a year old....nearly all the interior is brand new including all the rear upper and lower plastics and both vent assemblys are brand new. Rear seat is new but side panels are not and have speakers in them( sounds good but does get in way to raise and lower seat) It also has a new one piece formed headliner that will never sag and gives more headroom. All the a frames,front springs,shocks,drag link,ball joints have been replaced. Car drives straight and true with no hands at 70 mph. Brakes are stock but stops good. Car is driven couple times a week and kept inside so still looks very nice. Has a stock 289 with a standard 3 speed ...simple and runs perfect. To me nothing needs attention just drive it....but for those who nit pick I can list what some loved to point out even though they drive a ford focus...... 1...paint you can find small flaws and a chip here and there...its a driver 2...some trim has dings...some chrome has pitting.....once again its a driver 3...door and trunk seals not on yet....I have them.....someday might even put them on....I worked really hard to make the jams perfect and nice and hate to drip 3m trim all over them. 4,,,,motor smokes when you nail it.....it dont at idle and it dont when drive regular.....but you shower down it does....it dont leak oil, has good oil pressure and runs good so I havent worried about it. Note....I do have a brand new 351w bored to a 408 with a small cam with less than 1000 miles on it....you buy the car I mite could be talked into installing it if dont care about the original 289. Price car sells for will be a factor..... 5....its a 50 year old car.....its not perfect...Im not a show nut and like to drive my cars...but I do think it would win at local shows Now.....if I havent scared you away I will try one more time...I prefer cash....absolutley no checks or money orders period....I will do a wire transfer your bank to mine...but car dont leave till paid for either way. $500 paypal deposit end of sale or I will relist.... This has been my favorite car to have owned. Have drove it daily for 5 years and sold it...then bought it back and driving again. Car had like 50,000 miles when got it and has nearly 100,000 now I think. Motor was replaced with a more modern and stronger 390 in 2012. Factory standard shift so really has some torque. I had custom wheels made...Edsel has an oddball pattern that common mustang/camaro wheels wont fit....thats why never see Cragers on one. Interior seats and carpet have been redone but rest is original. Everything works with exception of ac (needs compressor on motor and a few dash lights burnt out.) Has vintage heat and air. Complete new front end in 2013. Car rides like a dream and is the best cruiser I have owned. Car will drive cross country if want.
