1970 Plymouth GTX. A REAL V CODE CAR! In High Impact Tor Red!! Numbers matching 440 6 barrel and automatic transmission. Vin on both. All casting dates are correct for this early built (9/69) car. I have 1 and 1/2 of another build sheets. The car still retains it's original fender tag. The radiator support and rear trunk lip have partial VIN's on them too. She's real. I bought this car a short time ago from a guy in TN. He's owned it for about 11 years and drove it sparingly. An original Kalamazoo Michigan car it was purchased at Kalamazoo Chrysler Plymouth. I have some original owner info that goes with the car. Also have several receipts from past owners too. All the sheet metal appears to be original with the exception of some metal replacement behind and down low of rear wheels. Metal work was fabricated and he did not use replacement panels. They did a real good job. Floors, trunk, frame rails all very solid. Fenders, quarters, doors all look to be original and verified by a reputable body man here in Omaha. This cars body looks to have never been apart or wrecked. Some one repainted the car in single stage. I've polished and buffed on it and she looks great. They fogged paint under the hood and in the trunk. Looks good. Not show car quality. A very nice original driver that you can drive and enjoy. Interior is original, front buckets and rear seats, headliner, door panels, and console. Carpet was replaced at some point. Dash looks good with a few scratches in the wood grain. Gauges are nice. AM Radio does not work. Steering wheel is incorrect. I'm working on getting the original one back from the guy who installed the tough steering wheel. Rear package tray new rear view mirror new. Tach is somewhat erratic. All interior lights work. The interior as a whole I would say is above average. No funny smells / odors other than 1970 Ma Mopar. Bumpers look real good. I think they were re-chromed as some point. Window trim all good. All other exterior trim is fair to good original. Grill very nice. All glass is nice. Vinyl top is very nice. On the drivers side sail panel there looks to be the factory seam weld that gives the vinyl top an uneven surface. I'm confident it's not rust as there is a factory seam there. Past owners say its always been like that. 1970's quality control at its finest! The engine looks to be stock and never out of the car. See pictures. A past owner did, however, install a Mopar Purple mild 6 pack cam. It has 3:55 gears and the transmission has a shift kit. Brakes and all mechanics seem to be all in operable state. She really runs when you lay into her. The outer carbs look factory the center carb looks to be a Mopar performance carb that was replaced at some point. This is an early car so she has the rare aluminum Edelbrock intake from the 69 1/2 Mopars! The under body is very solid. It is original and not restored under there. Appears to be all black. Undercoated car is my guess with general rattle can touch ups over the years. See pictures. The items that are on the car and NOT on the build sheet are as follows: The rear wing (although correct 1970 item), steering wheel, 15 inch wheels. Originally had the 14" road wheels, and the turn signal in the hood package. Also has electronic ignition. To sum it up this is an original numbers match car with paperwork that someone repainted and freshened up over the years. She runs and drives good and gets tons of interest everywhere she goes. If you look at other car like mine they are either clones or not numbers matching. In my opinion this car is a true investment piece that will only increase in value. I wouldn't even think of letting this car go but another rare E Body Hemi has come up and I want it. Room is an issue, so this one has to go. I hold a Ne. Dealers license. Superior Auto Sales in Omaha Ne I am a one man show and these Mopars are my passion. So rest assured all paperwork will be handled properly and legally. I have owned several nice high quality Mopars in the past and I never buy or sell anything that not's real. Or at least without telling you. My EBAY FEEDBACK is perfect. I value that very highly. I may get a bit windy in my descriptions but when it comes to dealing on the WWW, You can never have too much information. Shipping of the car is the buyers responsibility. I will assist. No trade's, no financing. Have funds available BEFORE you bid. EBAY Members with low Feedback numbers or Negative feedback EBAY members must contact me PRIOR to bidding or I will cancel your bid. Any questions call me anytime at 402 659 1118 Thanks and good luck! On Jun-25-15 at 07:16:55 PDT, seller added the following information: I appreciate the kind comments and questions about my car. If Ebay will let me, I will add a photo of the ORIGINAL Build sheets that were with the car. Rest assured they are the original one's for this car. 1 full one and half of another. I have them in plastic sleeves in a 3 ring binder. There were a total of 678 1970 440 6 barrel GTX's built. 350 were 4 speeds and only 328 Automatics. How many numbers match one's could possibly be left after 45 years? Yes this car is in the 6 barrel registry. Also this is an auction and I'd like to let it run the duration. To answer a few more questions: Headlights, tail lights, brake lights, turn signals all work fine. Vinyl top appears original and is in very good shape. The center carb leaks a bit as it sat for the last 10 years or so and only driven occasionally. I have a great mechanic and I will go through all three before the car leaves. Also being single stage paint the paint shows some imperfections, orange peel etc. If your good with the art of wet sanding it would help a lot. Paint is driver quality not show car as I stated in my description. I think she looks great.I may be a little critical here but I just want to be honest. Tires are the Eagle ST model and old but roll and handle just fine. I do not have the original 14's. If you have issues or concerns please come inspect it of have someone you trust take a look, as after the reserve is met the car is sold as it is. You should be pleased with this great rare car.
