Straight, rust-free California car, new interior, new one-piece headliner. Dash, seat covers, seat foam, locks, all weather stripping and seals, wind-lace, etc. are all brand new. New Sunrise Yellow paint with jambs, etc. painted. New tires, shocks, fuel pump, valve job, water pump. Rebuilt carburetor, recent clutch. Engine is 200 CI bored .040 over, mild cam, fresh head, long tube headers into dual exhaust. 3-speed original stick shift. Sounds great with the dual exhaust. Windows run up and down nicely, doors open and close as they should. Heater was rebuilt and functions as it should. No radio, instead it has a factory style "radio delete" panel. Dash under panel is good, you could put a radio in it. All the fun of a hot rod Mustang but with 20+ miles to the gallon. Starts and runs nicely. It is on planned non-operation, so no fees due. Title is clear and clean, in my name. We started with a straight, rust free, California Desert car and added 300 hours work with 4,500.00 in parts. Nice enough to enjoy, but not over-restored till you don't want to drive it. For sale is my daily driver a 1968 mercury cougar that has been mostly restored. Originally Olive Green color. It has the original 302/ 4bbl engine with Edelbrock 500 carb and manifold. Transmission is C4 which was rebuilt 5 years ago. It has 3:00 gears and 8' rear. Car is mostly stock except it has long tube headers, electronic ignition and glasspacks. It has the original vacuum motors for the headlights which does go up but not down. Rear brake pads do need to be replaced and currently has about 3mm pad left on each side. At idle the motor has a vacuum of 18 psi. Almost everything inside the interior works except the A.C system which the car did come from factory with it but has been removed since I purchased this car. It has power steering as well. Interior has been painted gloss black. Recently, I have been having a hard time rolling up the driver side window from daily use and the rear quarter window on the passenger side does not go down anymore. All the exterior and interior chrome is original so it does have scratches and some pitting. Hood scoop and rear spoiler are repos and were installed from previous owner. 15X7 front and 15x8 rear Cragar wheels does have oxidation and been painted dark gray. Drives nice and straight especially at high speeds. The doors do have some misalignment and steering wheel is a bit off center when driving. The windshield wiper fluid works and the wipers as well. The starter on the transmission could be replaced since sometimes there is some cranking issues especially when its very cold outside but the engine does turn over. From the looks of it the engine does not seem to be rebuilt but it runs great with no issues and all the valve seals have been replaced. Mostly the bad thing I would say about this car is the paint job which was done from the previous owner and has been fading over time. Rear chrome bumper does need some straightening. The car does have a salvage title. Just recently I drove the car a little over 100 miles in one day on the freeway with no problems. All in all this car out in public gets looks and compliments. All of these items are new or rebuilt and are about 1-5 years old.
