A lot of work and a lot of time and money have went into this car! Below is a Breakdown of the vehicle and work that was performed. Newer Rebuild. 350 4 Bolt Chevy (1980-85 motor) Runs Strong with New exhaust which sounds GREAT! New Carb, turbo 350 Trans, New upper and lower ball joints, Vehicle is lowered sitting on custom wheels and tires. New window rubber, new door seals, New front chrome bumper, and new carpet. Brand New Drums in the front, rear drums have been turned and the brake shoes are also Brand New and have been adjusted. The bed has been professionally sprayed with Rhino Liner and the wood in the bed is not stock. Vehicle had some rust issues and the rust was addressed and sandblasted but overall the vehicle very solid. The exterior is all Brand New fresh paint and was sanded with 2000 grit wet paper to give it an aged and faded kinda look which really works for this vehicle. The interior has had the floor fiber glassed with matting and resin gel and sealed with a black chassis paint, so there are no issues with the flooring and the interior will not get any water in it from pinholes. Not a show car but a super nice daily driver. I do not have the inside door panels and the headliner is not installed in the vehicle. I have purchased a brand new red headliner for $175 it just need to be installed. It was introduced in 1959 and was Chevys response to the Ford Ranchero. In 59 Chevy produced 22,246 El Caminos which beat the production of Ford Rancheros for the 57 model year. But in 1960 Chevy only sold only 14,163 Caminos which caused Chevy to abandon the model until 4 years later when production resumed in 1964, making 1960 the RAREST YEAR FOR CLASSIC EL CAMINOS!!! The only years that were lower in production was 87 with 13,743, and 88 with 420 when Chevy permanently discontinued the model. But ever since the 1960 model sales soared through the roof compared to 59 & 60 with later models selling anywhere from 33,000 to 65,000 in the late sixties and all of the 70's.
