Offering one 1927 Chevy Fire Truck. This truck was originally Fire Truck #1 at the Indian Refinery in Lawrenceville Illinois. It was owned by Texaco and it was known as Texaco #1. The truck was given to the 40 and 8 which was a WWI group back in the day. The 40 & 8 Group is no longer and they gave the fire truck to the American Legion #947 post 20 years ago. This truck has been used twice in the last 20 years. It was stored the last ten years and has been brought out of storage for sale to keep the American Legion Post from being closed down. The truck is in running condition with a 12 volt ignition system and everything else is still 6 volt. The truck and frame is 99% Rust Free no holes in the body panels the running boards are the only rust through noted on the fire truck very solid truck. The tires are dry rotted and it must have new ones to be road ready. The truck does run drive and stop with original mechanical brakes. The new owner will be given a receipt from the American Legion for a possible tax write off. Up for your consideration one 1972 Ford Mustang Grande. This mustang has been owned by the current owner for 16 plus years. The car had a complete paint job about 10 years ago hand rubbed lacquer finish beautiful shine. The car had the lower quarter panels on the rear replaced at this time and the trunk drop offs also due to slight rust. The car has a small area of rust bubble shown on the passenger side wheel lip. The only other paint imperfection is the passenger side trim around the rear glass has some paint that has popped off by the chrome it should be removed an touched back up. The frame rails, torque boxes, floor pans, doors, hood and truck are RUST FREE! The Grande was the top of the line coupe with wood grain door panels , full console, power steering, tilt wheel, power disc brakes and factory air. The car has a 351 Cleveland engine 2bbl and is numbers matching. The speedometer of the car shows a little over 47,000 miles I can not confirm the miles as original but the car is very tight runs well and no smoke or leaks. The belt on the air conditioning compressor has been removed and it needs replaced and charged for the air to work. The car has been stored in a pole building with concrete floor and you will see the cob webs underneath in the pictures. It was a daily driver before the repaint and it has been stored mostly since that time started occasionally to keep it in good condition. If you purchase the car it will need an interior restoration please review the pictures all interior is present but it is original and needs redone. The only seat that has to be recovered is the drivers seat it has a small rip. The carpet is faded and the door panels need attention. The car is a classic runs and drives well but needs a new home the elderly owner has had leg surgery and can no longer enjoy the car he wants it to go to a good home. Please note the tires are in poor condition and the car would have to have tires to be driven any distance. We have several tire dealers in the area if you want to put some on before you drive it home or if you wish to trailer it you would be good to go they hold air but they are in POOR SHAPE. The only thing that I noted the car needed mechanically was tires and the ac belt and charged. Everything else works on the car all lights, horn, heater etc work no cracked or broken glass on the car. Cosmetically the rear bumper has a couple of dings in it and the rust mentioned on the passenger wheel lip would be the exterior repairs. The interior is what you see pictured originally needing some repairs but it is complete.
