Reason Selling: "My health won't allow me to finish restoring" 1962 Galaxie 500 XL Convertible - (Lemmon, So. Dak.) condition: good 1962 Ford Galaxie 500 XL Convertible transmission : automatic title status : clean This Car is Black with Red and Chrome interior. The motor needs some work. It does run. The exterior and interior has been restored to original colors and materials. The top is in good shape and is operable. The motor is a 352 cu. inch, starts and runs. Needs Rings and bearings as compression is low. Redone heads when original head gaskets rusted out and it got hot. Water never got into the oil as it never circulated. Power steering needs seal kit in cylinder but kit is with the car because of health reasons I was not able to put it in. As you can see on the pictures it has no plastic in the rear window. For the last few years it has been covered and stored inside the garage. Last time it was driven in a parade. I will also look at offers that are reasonable.
