Car will be making a cross country trip from the West Coast to the East coast next week. See below for details. All "forest" pics taken 9/2/2014, garage pics are about 45 days old If on a tighter budget, also selling a non-Brabus Smart Fortwo diesel on eBay as well. Proudly listing another Smart car diesel with origins in Canada. This one is unique in many ways. First is it's a limited production Smart Fortwo built on the Hambach assembly line using Brabus parts. Nightrun options include leather upholstery and dash, Suede wrapped steering wheel, paddle shifters, Brabus shifter, Brabus pedals, Brabus handbrake, Monoblock VI alloy wheels, and engine upgrade from Brabus. Standard options including traction control, block heater, keyless entry, electric windows, and power locks. Other optional accessories air conditioning, power heated mirrors, premium sound system, and panoramic glass top. Only 50 were produced. This is #42. Second valuable consideration, unlike most of the cars I sell, this one has spent most of its in the high desert of British Columbia. Therefore, no salty highways in the winter time like we see in Toronto and other Canadian cities. Mechanically, absolutely everything works on this car. There are no check engine lights illuminated on this car. Does not leak any fluids whatsoever. This car is definitely more then capable of doing a cross country trip. As for the cosmetics, the car looks great and is consistent with any car having 50K miles. There is one very small crack in the rear bumper and have attached a pic (below). Carfax indicates no accidents/damage reported as well as no mileage discrepancies. Finally, I do drive the vehicle somewhat, so mileage may increase slightly during the auction. There are just a few things that make Smart cdi's unique and one of only about 120 or so here in the United States. It is powered by a Mercedes engineered turbo diesel that is well known for lasting hundreds of thousands of miles. This euro-spec version has been in production since 1998 and has been proven dependable. I can easily achieve 50 to 60 mpg and hits speeds of 75+ comfortably on the freeways. The transmission is a Tiptronic (no clutch manual or sometimes called "slap stick"). This model also has the selector switch for the fully automatic transmission feature. And finally, unlike the 2nd generation US models, it also has 6 speeds instead of the 5. Many questions always come up regarding servicing the car. An online manual is available from the website "Evilution". Ebay does not permit me to place the link in, but just Google it. There you will find a wonderful resource with helpful descriptions and pictures to help in performing repairs and maintenance. As for mechanics to do maintenance on the car; I always recommend contacting an independent mechanic specializing in European cars. Sometimes they employ mechanics fresh "off the boat" from Eastern Europe that have knowledge of these cars over there. If financing the car, ensure your lender will finance it without a "blue book" value or NADA. The car is currently located in Weaverville, CA., just west of Redding, CA.
