Note-My only reason for selling this car is I am purchasing another Mercury that I have found that I want to buy so this one needs be sold. 1970 Marauder X100, was a Georgia car until my purchase in 2013. I have the original owners car and window sticker from the SELLING DEALER in Georgia. Now resides in southern Michigan garaged. The good-- Very solid body with one repaint in original wimbledon white. Paint is nice, looks good even up close but not show car quality. Original black vinyl top, original black vinyl interior with front split bench seats. All in very good condition. Factory fender skirts, The car shows evidence that is was garaged during its life. not dinged and not dented, very straight body when looking down both sides of the car. The car does not appear to have had body filler however I will not guarantee it. Has 107,000 miles. Runs and drives well. I have driven it many miles this past summer/fall to car shows and events and the car had no issues. Has recent exhaust system with slight bit of rumble to it (sounds just right, not objectionable) Has power steering, power windows, tilt steering wheel, factory am-fm stereo (works great). Factory Kelsey hayes wheels and a 5th hayes wheel in the trunk which appears to be an original bias ply spare tire (has been used). Has had gas tank cleaned-renewed, has new tank sender unit, new rear springs, new brakes all way around including new master cylinder and new brake booster, all performed by a quality repair facility in my area. Has new accessory drive belts, quality carb rebuild, runs, idles, starts very nice. Engine runs nice and trans shifts fast between second and third but does is well.. Has new radiator, new thermostat, new oil change, new plugs, new points and condenser. Needing attention--the a/c compressor does not work, has a hole in it. slight tire shaking at 65-70 mph, tires have been balanced and they have excellent tread. one lifter on right bank has clicking noise, although it has never affected anything and does not affect the running of the car, but I wanted to mention it. Trans has slight leak, not sure where but suspecting front trans seal as I have already snugged up all of the trans pan bolts. Headlight vacuum doors raise up after approx. 15-20 minutes. Drivers side rear power window inop, it draws power but wont move, I suspect the motor itself. I don't believe that I have missed anything but not responsible if I have. I have given an honest description of the car. Overall this is a very solid, very tight driving, very very nice looking car that anyone would be proud to own. Car is being sold as is, where is, with absolutely no warranty and absolutely no guarantee whatsoever. I reserve the right to end the auction early as I do have it available for sale locally. Cash in person or certified funds that I will make sure clear my bank before car is released. If any questions feel free to email or call me 248-515-7066, leave message if no answer.

1964 Mercury Comet Caliente K-Code 289 4 bl 2 door hardtop. bucket seats with console. I received this car on a trade so I will tell you the information I was told. the car was built in Los Angeles Ca and spent half of its life on the west coast. then was purchased and moved to Ohio where it stayed for 15 years then it was sold to the person I got the car from who said he had the car for 10 years. the car is very original with the original k-code 289 and c4 trans and the original rear end and It does look to be all original. the car was yellow mist with palomino bucket seat interior when built in 1964. the previous owner had the car painted red and black in 9-13 and said the interior was changed to black in 1998.the vin numbers match on the inner fender and the door plate. the paint is not a great job and was not wet sanded so I wet sanded the hood and the top of the fenders and it cleaned up ok. the floors have a couple of patches and the trunk is very solid. it is not a show car it starts up and runs very good. before it can be on the road it will need brake work exhaust work and tires. has a new battery. gas tank was cleaned and sealed. it has 14'' cragers that look to be in very nice shape. everything works all lights inside and out. wipers work heater works. radio is original and does not work. interior and carpet are very clean and need very little attention. body is in good shape with all trim intact. glass is very good no chips or cracks all side windows work great. the steering wheel is not original and I do not have original. the underside needs some work someone in the past has worked on the rear torque boxes and the sub frame rails. needs some more work. the front inner fender wells need some work. the pictures look worse then it really is. the dash is not cut anywhere could use new dash pad. I will not guarantee the 289 is original since I can't check the block numbers. it has a edelbrock carb that is to big for the motor. I was told the motor was rebuilt with a mild cam in 2013. that's all I know about the car and vin number is posted so you can look up any info you might need. bumpers are in great shape no dings or dents could use chrome.
