Its an older restoration but everything has been replaced. 350 engine with 400 trans. It has headers, MSD ignition, Demon Carb, AC blows super cold. Interior is immaculate, factory tach and clock. Original owner (really) is finally ready to let go my favorite car of all time. This great little car was purchased in January, 1987 brand new. A JDM engine was installed in 2006 and since then has had very few miles. (I estimate about 75K total on JDM.) The total mileage is 280,248. The engine runs great and accelerates nicely. The transmission is still excellent. The original wheels were upgraded to König 15" and there is still an original 13" wheel & tire spare. The tires are Kumho Ecsta ASX 195-55/15 V-Rated All Seasons with some tread left. There is a SHORT somewhere in the electrical system. (It completely discharges the battery within a few hours.) The interior is worn and the seats are solid but could certainly stand being replaced. The original floor mats are included. (The driver's is worn through) A CD player/radio was added. There is NO air conditioning and the heat does NOT currently work. The rear quarter panels were rebuilt in 1998 and are showing considerable wear. The rocker panels were rebuilt in 2002. There is NO fuel filler neck. The liftback 'shocks' are just wearing out. One headlamp is burned out.I will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have that I am able, but please understand that I am not very mechanically inclined.High bidder purchases car AS IS, with NO warranty. Purchaser is responsible for pick up arrangements with the carrier of his choice. $250 is due within (48) hours of close of auction, with the balance due within (7) days. This is a beautiful 1951 Mercury. Has the original 255ci flathead V8 and the rest of the original drive-train but runs great, rides great, very comfortable cruiser. The only thing we've done is convert to 12V. The previous owner said it was an older restoration about 30 yrs ago, but paint and body in great condition. Interior looks great except for wear on driver side seating area. My upholstery guy said the headliner door panels and one of the seats looks original. The door panels are lifting a bit on the bottom portion, and the interior dome light is missing. The front bumper is in good shape but the chrome is cracked and damaged in a few areas. All the moldings are complete and in good shape but have a few dings and dents. Anyone that's worked on these cars knows how hard it is to find parts, finding one this complete and unmolested is tough. Truly is a GEM. Any questions feel free to ask.
