I am selling my Jaguar XK8 convertible. This is a beautiful car but it will not start due to one simple and easy fix...According to my mechanic, the security system in the key has become deprogrammed so it will not start. It needs to be taken to a Jag dealer ship to be reprogrammed. I believe this cost around 200.00 I have owned this car for many years, drove it daily and I never have had any issues at all. It has ran great! This last winter I did not drive it at all, the battery died which led to it being deprogrammed. There are no known mechanical issues at all. Last time I drove the car (Oct) it ran wonderfully. The engine alone is worth over 2500.00 It has very low miles for this year. It's about 90,000 miles The engine is superb, may consider selling it separately but prefer to just sell the whole car. Take it, have it programmed and have an amazing summer car or part it out and make money. Kelly Bluebook value of this car in this condition is over $5,000 so you are getting a very good deal.
