This QP III left the Modena factory in September of 1984 and was then invoiced to North America where it sold new to its first owner in New Jersey where it lived up until the mid 2000’s where it then relocated to Arizona. This largely original QP III has traveled a mere 28,000 original miles and has been properly maintained its entire life and stored with care. The Grigio paint on the car has been touched up but still retains original paint and shows very well. The two rear quarter pillars do show some light paint checking and some small stone chips on the front nose and lower quarter panels behind the rear wheels. The car is wearing all of its original glass with the original Saint Gobain stampings still intact and all of the chrome and rubber trim look to be in excellent original condition. The interior is absolutely stunning, all of the leather and carpets are all in original condition and shows exceptionally well. The leather is still so soft to the touch and has an incredible aroma to it. The dashboard is in beautiful condition, free from any shrinkage or peeling. There are no cracks on the wood and still retains a nice clean finish. All of the suede on the dash and rear deck are in outstanding condition and free from any damage or stains and the headliner is in stunning original condition also free from any stains or sagging. The beautiful 4.9 liter quad cam V8 Italian built engine starts right up and does not smoke under any conditions. The carbs have recently been sorted and are tune correctly. The engine pulls incredibly strong and has a beautiful sound through the twin exhausts. The gearbox has a nice solid feel to it and free from any slipping or harsh changes. The brakes have a good positive feel to them and do not fade or grind. The suspension and steering are nice and solid and tight and have no known issues. The tires are older but still have excellent tread life left on them, the original Campagnolo wheels show well with some light fade to the finish. The undercarriage of the car is nice and tidy as is the body. Both are completely rust free and free from any signs of prior damage or damage repair. All of the electronics in the car are operating as designed. The interior lights come on, the dash lights and dash gauge cluster are all working as they should, the door buzzer and radio and power antenna are all functioning as they should. Both the driver and passenger seats adjustments are all functioning as is the power mirror, trunk release and gas door release (they even light up when pushed). All of the windows and the power door locks are operating as designed and the AC system has just been sorted with a new AC compressor and condenser and is working. The cooling system on the car has been completely sorted and is running cool in all driving conditions. This is an excellent running and driving Maserati Quattroporte III that has been beautifully maintained since new and in outstanding condition.
