Up for sale is a really fun car. Oil was just changed using Mobil 1 synthetic and all other fluids topped off and gas tank filled with 93octain premium fuel. This car is turn key ready to drive anywhere their is a road. It is nicely equipped with sport mods to enhance the driving experience. It has a mishimoto oversized aluminum radiator with twin electric fans. It has a full stainless steel exhaust system. It has fully adjustable Megan street coilovers on all four. It also has a double diagonal hard dog roll cage professionally installed. The convertable top is reciently replaced. Car has a nice trunk Finn wind diffuser and it has Konig Wideopen light weight wheels and tires. The interior is clean and has a few small worn spots on the drivers seat but not a hole. The AC in the car blows ice cold and the heater blows hot. The CD player sounds great. The transmission shifts smooth like butter into all five gears and revers. The clutch is strong and the engine runs great. Compression test across all 4 cylinders was within 4psi 185-181psi. I drove this car from spring hill Florida to Lubbock Texas to visit family for Christmas and it had no issues at all. Averaged 28mpg and over the course of the 6000mile round trip it used a half quart of oil. It has about 151,xxx miles on it. If you have never driven a roadster type car like this Miata then your missing out on the fun! This car handles like its on rails stops on a dime and the 1.8L engine is actually very quick. It might not accelerate like a corvette but it will go around the sharpest corners a lot faster. I'm going to miss this car since it is so fun to drive but I need a truck and I can't afford to keep both. The body on this car is really clean with only a few really small parking lot door dings and the paint is really nice except a couple small spots has clearkote faded about the size of a apple in a few spots. Top takes about 20seconds to come down or go back up. It has super bright headlights that has their own cooling fans. Buy this car with confidence it has been well maintained and needs nothing. This is a very clean, well maintained vehicle. It has 142,000 miles on it. We just moved to a new Miata and would like to put this one in the hands of someone who appreciates it. We have replaced the struts and springs. The engine was rebuilt 2 years ago, it has about 18,000 miles on it since. At the time the engine was replaced we had all the belts and hoses done, as well as the timing belt, water pump, tune up parts and fluids. The manual transmission was serviced as well as the clutch replaced at the same time. The rear differential was serviced also. The convertible top was replaced 6 months ago with a 2003 top with a glass back window. Everything works well on the car. The body is clean although the clear coat is coming off in a few spots. All of the work was performed by Nortown Automotive in Chicago. Call them and they can give a repair history on the vehicle. Their number is 773-276-9838. We have an extra set of rims and tires as well as a set of snow rims and tires. We also have many extra body and trim components to go with it. Race Prep forum, and was ready to go. The maiden voyage, a full twelve miles, everything was perfect, ideal air/fuel ratio, the new transmission was shifting perfectly, I was pretty happy. The next day, I started it up and it was running fine, and then out of nowhere, the oil pressure dropped to 9 psi, it would move with revs to 30-40, but dropped to 9/8 at idle. There are no bad noises, but something is definitely wrong with the oil pressure. My guesses? There was definitely some oil sludge when I dropped the pan to fix the leak, perhaps some sludge is partially blocking an oil galley as it also sat for a long time when the supercharger was being rebuilt and from August until a month ago. Maybe the pump is bad? I am just done dealing with this project. I don’t have the heart to pull the engine again to figure it out. I figure if I do not get any serious bites over the next couple weeks, I will just part it out. I think a fair price is $10,000 considering I have way more than double into it and it needs very little to be amazing. The only other bad thing I can think of is that the turn signal stalk is broken, I hit it with the dash when removing it and it cracked. And by then you'll be able to scoop up Vintage Car Plates as the car will turn 25 years old.Cons:-No A/C (previous owner stated one of the A/C lines blew). Car just blows hot air, but the A/C compressor turns on-Paint Has seen better days-Rebuilt Title due to small front end collision on the front right passenger side (pictured)-3rd gear and 5th gear grind when shifting out of 2nd and 4th at High RPM's, however when shifting at low rpms (4k and under) the gears do NOT grind. $2450 OBO
