This is my 1983 Mazda RX-7 with 148,383.85 miles on it (subject to change as this is my daily driver). If you're looking for the ultimate beautiful, fun, unique, early 80's, rear-wheel-drive classic sports car, you're looking for an RX-7. This is the base model RX-7; as such, it's just the standard 1.1L 12A rotary (which runs very well), basically no options, and manual everything, including windows, choke, locks and, best of all, manual 5-speed transmission. It still turns heads and I get comments on it every time I drive it, even from other classic and modern sports car owners. Current inspection sticker and registration to boot. Tech specs:1.1L 12A rotary engine- 9.4:1 compression ratio (when it was new)- 101bhp (when it was new)- 107 ft-lb torque (when it was new)Nikki 4 bbl carb5-speed manualLimited-slip differentialfront disc brakes, rear drum brakes13" wheels (original)original weight was 2,350lbs, but is less as it's missing a few parts (mentioned later)0-60mph: ~9 secondsSpeedo maxes at 85mph but can probably go faster as it handles 85 no problem14' long, 5.5' wide, 4' tall (can easily handle up to a 6'3", 250lb man) I took many, many pictures so you can see exactly what you're buying, good and bad. The good: The side RX-7 badges have been glued back on, as has most of the rubber trim. Included is the glue I used and the two remaining trim pieces that go on either door. The car comes with a bowl full of screws, hangars, rubber bits and other such hardware that I'm not sure where it all goes. The car does not have the optional rear seats installed, but instead two covered storage boxes behind the rear seats. The heat and fans work, but the air conditioning system is straight up missing. All the electrics work. The rear has plenty of storage - if you're a musician you'll be glad to know you can carry rack gear, amps, guitars, keyboards, etc. in the back with no issues. The bad: All of this came with the car when I got it and haven't fixed it. There is some rust and the Mazda badges are missing (one is included but broken). Some of the paint is a bit wonky and, yes, you see right, the wheels are gold on one side and black/brown on the other. The radio is shrunken into the single-DIN slot, but has the knobs and faceplate (which is in the glove box). The radio does kinda work, but only plays out of the rear passenger speaker. There are miscellaneous cables running everywhere, probably due to the botched aftermarket security system which doesn't work (but doesn't affect anything either). Aftermarket Ferrari badges have been applied to the front and back, which is something I did for laughs. The steering wheel horn cover is missing. This car comes with the original title, reciept from when I bought it, and all service records since I've had the car. Many repairs have been made to this vehicle. List of repairs: - Repaired/reassembled parts of interior to the best of my ability- Repaired vacuum leaks- Brake flush- Wheel alignment and balance- refitted most of the trim aside from the door trim (included with adhesive so you can glue it on)- Engine/carb has been retuned so it runs great As well as these repairs, there are many new parts in this car. List of new parts: New Exhaust gasketNew MufflerNew E-brake cableNew oilNew oil filterNew brakesNew tiresNew wiper motorNew wipersNew rear shocksNew batteryNew distributor capNew ignition cablesNew NGK spark plugsVarious new hosesNew fuel filterNew windshieldNew windshield washer pumpNew windshield washer fluid & container That said, various functions do not work. List of non-functional... functions: - No air conditioning. Entire AC system is missing aside from a button on the inside. New AC is ~$1000. I drive with the window open and it's fine.- Nonfunctional security system (doesn't affect anything)- The original battery hold down doesn't fit but is included, thus the battery is held via a bungee cord.- Nonfunctional fuel gauge. I've found that you can go around 280 miles or so on a tank; I fill it at 200-250 miles and just reset the odometer each time. Gets around 17mpg.- Also this car has no spare wheel. I hope you appreciate the level of detail in this listing, and if you wish to see the car in person feel free to email me approximately when you will be available and I'll tell you where to come see it. Asking $5000, but will consider slightly lower offers (don't even waste your time with extremely low offers). More images can be found here. VIN: JM1FB3316D0751460
