It features the legendary v8 and rugged Mercedez reliability. The SL Mercedez in arguably one of the finest cars ever made. From its inception in the 50's to today these cars have filled a niche at the top of the Mercedez line that will endure forever. They handle well, ride comfortably, and perform exceptionally well. These are cars that can go 100 MPH all day long! The third series model ran from 1973 to 1989 and are now starting to gain the attention of collectors. They exhibit the classic lines of the earlier cars while having a lot of very nice features that make them a lot more drivable. These cars are good for hundreds of thousands of miles and don't let those nay sayers fool you- sure parts aren't cheap but they rarely ever break! Ihave always been an Italian Car Collector and sort of poopooed the teutonic German Marques such as Mercedez and BMW, but my 3.0cs changed my mind about Bimmers and my SL is quite simply the best car I have ever had. (I have had a lot of cars) . The 560 SL is the tank roadster to buy as all of the bugs were worked out by this time in the development of the model and they are great performers. The second owner is a dear friend and fellow Mercedes collector who asked me to list the car for him insofar is he is not the most computer savvy guy and isn't much of a talker. The car is a impeccable example of a no paint work (Mils 3.5) no stories car. Signal red over black with perfect burlwood veneers, a crack free dash and basically a car that looks and drives like brand new, as it should with 28k miles on it. My friend bought the car years ago and stored it on stands and drove it about 100 miles a year. The original Pirelli tires are included but not safe to drive on anymore. All original glass, perfect original soft top and hard top. The car is leak free and goes to Mercedes for a check up every year. The car is leak free and tight! Most of the original stickers are on suspension components. The wheels have no curb rash and this is most likely the finest kept SL at any mileage. This car was bought as a perfect car, maintained to those standards throughout the years. Included is the window sticker, maintenance log, tool kit, hang tags, supporting maintenance records.
